Nice works, I would have painted the black electric cable white to blend in with the walls.
It might have taken triple the time, but you endured and pushed through most of it on your own. Great effort with loads of enthusiasm and flare. Love that you tackle anything that comes your way.👍❤

A good review. I had forgotten some of the details of that build. Doing videos on particular subjects might be a good idea that people will find useful, even if they aren't building in Portugal.

I’ve made mistakes with position of battens and found screwing them rather than nailing means you can easily unscrew and reposition in a short time.

I wish you would wear a mask when cutting and making all that dust Jasper.
I wish people would stop nagging about a mask. There is a lot of wind, no confined spaces, I don’t do this work day in and day out and I have a nose that acts a filter.
I would not wish for other people to see things your way! We are all different and what works for some doesn’t work for others.

some designers spend a lot of time creating artificial "patina" to make things look older. you could have put the tiles up as is and said you spent 2 weeks working to create that gorgeous "patina" 🤣
Would it help if you measured the positions of the tiles BEFORE you took them off ?
They are different tiles.. so no. :)
