      ATC! What’s happening brother? Yea, I know for a fact the Columbia River has gold in it, and I did want to try some of the banks around there, but the access is very limited and I wasn’t comfortable digging up grassy play areas where kids play :) As for the creeks… as you can see, nothing to report. There is some legend and lore about the area a little east of the dalles near biggs junction. I saw an assay report from the 40's on a sample that tested very rich. Supposedly a farmer was tilling and found it in his field. Im 100 percent sure he lied and it came from an old wash out there. I have found gold in the area but nothing even close to what that assay report pointed at.

    • @StoneyCreekSparkchaser
      @StoneyCreekSparkchaser  2 месяца назад +1

      I do like a good legend! I’ve heard some really good legends out of the middle to northern cascades as well. The one I remember was a guy who found a lake with gold lined around it, but then when he went back, a landslide or something happened and changed the face of the whole area and he could never locate it again. Something like that. Still neat though and those are the stories that get people moving. I also agree with you about The Dalles. I came up empty handed, but if you don’t try, you’ll never know. I appreciate the comment again :)
