As a guy growing out my hair, thank you for teaching and reviewing certain products. I use to just be OK with my hair being curly, but this channel has taught me the range of products and uses like cowashes, deep conditioner, glycerin free (since I live in South Florida) and how hair needs moisture locked in and how certain products might make your hair look great but still be drying etc.
You probably want to look it up so that you know what silicones are and why they are used in natural hair products. That way you can form your own opinion as to whether or not they are bad for natural hair. My opinion is that I don't necessarily think they are bad for my hair, I just prefer not to use them; I don't think they are an essential for my hair. BUT, my opinion doesn't matter because our hair is different, our climate may be different and our lifestyles are different so our need/use for silicones may be different as well. Thanks for the question and for tuning in.
Your curls are nice and shinny. Love the mousse. I have tried it with the CR coconut water, the kinky curly and miche leave-in and all three of them would give me nice results. I wish the mousse did not have the silicones, but will keep using it. Thanks for reviewing that cowash.
Thank you! I wish the mousse didn't have silicones, too. I love the shine it gives the hair, but there are other mousses that work that don't have silicones so I guess, I'll stick with those. Thanks for sharing your combos.
Nice twist out results! Your hair looked very defined, and full. I agree with you on the design essentials cowash . It is very moisturizing, but if you have lots of product in your hair it may not offer a good cleanse like you need. Thanks for sharing these products!
Thanks. I really like their Avocado shampoo and the DC. The cowash, rinse out conditioner and leave-in are ok, but not my faves. If you want to try something, try the shampoo and DC first. Thanks for watching!
@@NaturalRaeRae guilty I bought them. I will return them if I don't like it. The leave in was foaming in my hair I added the Camille rose honey hydrate as well then twist out with the mousse. I will let you know the results tomorrow. Fingers crossed
Your twistout looks great. I recently went looking for a cowash that I thought would be both moisturizing beneficial to my hair’s needs. Having said that I decided to try Function of Beauty. You take a quiz and customize your product. Fingers crossed I like it.
Thank you! Hopefully Function of Beauty works for you. I've heard mixed reviews on it, but never tried it. If you know your hair, hopefully you will customize a product that your hair loves. Let me know how hit goes.

What's the purpose of silicones? Is it bad for natural hair?

Your hair looks beautiful. Thank You for mentioning the silicones.
No problem 😊 Thanks for watching.
Love their Mousse ♥️ however I wouldn’t like Silicones in my cowash, so no I won’t be trying that… TFS 💫💫
