Great video Russ, I dont have any old video game mags anymore so its nice to see you going through these pages of nostalgia! :) I got a Saturn first with Street Fighter Alpha and Sega Nights which I played to death at Christmas. Loved it! I later traded it for a Playstation.
Always good to hear stories about the playstation Vs Saturn war! I'm planning in covering the first 50 issues of GamesMaster then moving onto some different mags this year
That nextgen bias really shining through there, perhaps understandable at the time, but so little of that early 3d holds up, while 2d stuff continues to look great. I actually had FX Fighter on PC back in the day, I seem to remember it was kind of fun.
The love for the next gen was maybe a little too strong around this time! Guess its like anything new coming out at the time though. Thanks for watching Rob
Most PS1 and Saturn games aged REALLY REALLY badly. As you've said in previous videos, the 3D has aged worse than Geena Davis, to the point where I simply won't play them at all now.

I got stacks of retro mags, most gm including 2 copies of the issue which had the GM dvd one which is still sealed in it's package.
