i did like that the good ending song was sorta describing Sunny's bad experiences of being stuck in a rut, but I suppose the takeaway is that he WAS waking up day by day.

The worst part is, that fall probably lasted only a few seconds.
We see everything from Sunny's perspective and in that moment he was having some extreme hallucinations.
Fun fact: the OMORI discord calculated how tall that building is by using the speed that he is falling at and the length of the ending and apparently it is 10 times as tall as the tallest building in the world.

Basil was the first one seeing them, when Sunny pushed Mari, to convice himself it wasn't Sunny who did it. he then probably talked to sunny about it, and that's when sunny started imagining it too, and he associated it to what he saw when she died (the one behind him is the hanging head, and basil's one is mari's hair on the floor)

In 46:32 many believe that this door leads to the balcony in the bad ending.
It gives me chills every time I think about it.
Yeah I also think the same... like if he followed his dream friends, that's where he'd have ended up :'(
The ending really leaves it very unclear, but with my observations on how the Sunny/Omori power struggle works around the whole game i'd say Omori was just going out to experience the 4th headspace day you get in the Hikkikomori route while at the same time Sunny goes to commit Oyasumi from not being able to overcome the truth even with Basil being saved.
It doesn't forcefully happen in the Hikkikomori because his confinement is unbroken, so he can live his fake life undisturbed and visit headspace as much as he wants (he can still stab himself and end it all, but it's up to the player). In the bad ending Sunny realizes that even if Omori's takeover restored Headspace to it's prime, it is too late to go back, as he has gone too far into the path of overcoming only to miserably fail at the last challenge, so he is left with no option but to oyasumi himself.

And Basil is most likely going to commit suicide after that.. Wow the bad ending and the neutral endings are both the worst, it's just that suiciding doesn't really let you see the consequences of your actions.

I mean, questionable. The “You have literally no option but to jump” could be put together with Black Space “Stab or kill Mewo and then commit seppoku” in being the same type of depression analogy. Also, there’s a limit to how much trauma a person can take, 3 people dying versus 2 is not a 1.5* increase in truama. Just think of Hero’s and Sunny’s hikkikomori behaviours to cope with Mari’s death. But, an increase in number of people alive to experience it? Heh.

The ending song for the bad ending- "My Time" by Bo En; it was in the original Omori trailer back in 2014. It's pretty much the official anthem of the Omori community at this point. And almost everyone has the lyrics memorized, either intentionally or not.

I love how omori uses his various attacks throughout the game and then uses them against you in the end. My favorite attack is painful truth.

I feel like the door at the top in the hospital probably leads to that balcony from the bad ending, so seeing Sunny refuse to go through it is a really powerful moment if you think about it in context with everything else.

what i love/hate about the good ending is that you dont get to know what the friends reactions were to maris actual death. it really shows that it doesn't matter if they forgive him or not, this game was about sunny learning to forgive himself. im tearing up now ;u;

@@barrolboi5101 If Sunny, the person who loved Mari the most and was the direct cause of her death, can forgive himself, then so can his friends. Even if it takes them years like with him, the pain will go away. Their bond is stronger than steel.

Kel would be the most supportive because, Kel
Hero would be the most conflicted, as He wouldn't want to hurt the one related to Mari, but wouldn't immediately forgive the one who killed her, but also would be somewhat glad that it wasn't a suicide, all of his guilt over not being able to do enough would be lifted, definitely the most conflicted out of the 3.

I love how Omori doesn't go away. Sunny accepts Omori as a part of himself and has to move on with him still lingering. Whoever specifically came up with this idea is genius.
Omori is the manifestation of guilt , when omori won't succumb it means literally , since guilt will always exist in your heart. but you must learn how to OVERCOME it.
Fun fact: if you name yourself “omocat” at the beginning of the game you’ll get an achievement for it.
It’ll also say something like “you think your so smart, don’t you” or something like that.

you're exactly right, kel doesn't actually genuinely cry in the entire game EXCEPT in that neutral ending. hurts even more :(
Fun Fact: In the older versions there was a "Kel Ending", where the save files would get messed up and you would wake up with Kel and Hero waiting you outside the room(like in the morning of day 3). When you left the house both of them would follow you to Moms car. After that Sunny and Kel would get inside while Hero just stayed there and watched his brother get adopted by Sunny.
Oh also the music that played while you were falling of the building is a sped up and cut version of Bo En's My Time. I would really reccomen listening to it in your free time, some parts of the song that werent in the game are just amazing :D

there's a fair amount of new content in the other route so whatever you feel like cuting out for the sake of repetitiveness shuold be ok. But I don't mind at all hearing your comments going through some parts a second time and hearing thoughts on certain scenes that got your attention, there a good amount of exclusive bosses and areas in the other route that will be worth quite a few videos.
Basically, take your time and do as you please. I wouldn't have it any other way

How's the glitch tale going?
I just realised something: The worst ending definitely has to be this series of events:
(major spoilers for this video)
1. Sleep until the night in Basil's house
2. Sleep again (Basil dies)
3. Open dead Basil's door
4. Collect the steak knife
5. Sleep in your house
6. ...you know what to do.
After all, it could be implied from that ending that, unlike the normal implications of that ending where one didn't see dead Basil, Hero Kel and Aubrey might feel that it was their fault that Sunny did you-know-what thing because they allowed him to see Basil's dead body. They might then think that was the reason his depression spiked beyond saving, meaning that they might think that they could've potentially saved Sunny from you-know-what if they didn't let Sunny see Basil.
They never would've known the truth about Mari, and now... they would have to hold the weight of thinking their actions, which were completely avoidable, are why Sunny ended it.

İn the good ending, the place that imaginary friends went was the place that u suicide in the bad ending. At that point, following dreams mean suicide, in the bad ending u follow them but cant really see the road to there. İn the good ending, u have already made ur mind so sunny doesnt go there. Also, the reason that bad ending credit theme was such a banger was because the reason of us suiciding was to live in dreams forever. Like you know, sleeping forever. It was a banger but you cant tell that it is a happy song, it doesnt have that vibe. It sounds like escapism at the fullest to me and makes me feel the fakeness of the dreams

I got all achievements in Omori today. It took me more than a month, 130+ hours of playtime, 4 playthroughs and many, many suppressed emotions. It was all worth it. I'll miss this game.
Make sure to try Omori route. It heavily expands Headspace and provides more important lore, but there are only neutral endings available.

I truly did not think a better game could happen. Honest. At least in this genre and style. I was proven oh so wrong. I thought I wouldn't find an OST with so many tearful stories in the comment section. I was oh so wrong. I thought it would be hard to hit people even closer to home. 940+ depressed people told me that THIS was when it was needed the most. In the pandemic, not in Homestuck's twilight. As much as it pains me to say so, OMORI *>* UNDERTALE+deltarune.
Max, merg, cherry man. Thank you for helping me with… so much. Thank you for introducing me to my favorite games, thank you for always being there for me even if you didn’t know it. And thank you for playing this game. It made me cry and laugh and so much more and every time I’ll listen to any song that sounds similar to an omori song I’m sure I’ll feel like that again. Max, thank you, I hope you continue making me feel good when I feel bed and keep having fun of course. Thank you for getting me out of bed when I was stuck there just like how kel made sunny get out of bed, I might have never met you and of course I have my own friends but to me you’re my Hero, Kel, Aubrey and basil. You’re my lifesaver, my hero and of course my friend even if you never knew that.

Two Omoris. Both evil, one is the lesser evil. One wants blissful ignorance and the other wants death.
Omori isn’t some evil entity, he’s literally Sunny’s coping mechanism. His sole purpose is to protect Sunny from pain at all costs. After learning the truth Sunny is doomed to live with trauma and guilt forever, so Omori tries to end his suffering by making him commit s**cide.

I feel that I can necer desensitize myself of something without either spending years or something else.
I didn't break because my mind was born on Mononoke, because I watched Ghost Trick at 10, because I watched Homestuck, I experienced Undertale and Evangelion by myself. But this is the most beautiful man-made thing I have seen. Few can *truly* compare :,)

OMORI set the bar high for indie gaming let's see if Silk Song and DELTARUNE can match it in their own way and who knows what crazy indie game will rise up from nowhere, I'm getting pumped up just by thinking about it.
Remember that Omori had like 6 or 7 years of development, don't think Deltarune will be that long... *I hope*

Fun Fact: All of the photos you collect in Black Space that showcase Sunny and Basil "doing the deed" actually have secret descriptions that can only be seen by going through the game's text files. If you want to, you can read the descriptions by searching Omori Photo Album Wiki and looking at all the descriptions for the photos under "THE TRUTH" section of the wiki.
Hey Merg, thanks for showing me what I personally only had the courage to experience by reading about it online until now. After finishing my first - and only - playthrough of Omori half a year ago, I was devastated, and after learning I'd gotten the best possible ending, I decided to never go back. I wanted to leave Omori untainted by the rest, cursed endings, I wanted everyone to be happy. I had seen enough, I was satisfied. Yet, I decided to experience these endings along with you and the rest of the community, and I'll be here for the Hikikomori Route as well. Cheers, and thanks again!

As a Narrator Chara supporter I am of the belief that The Anomaly (read: you) is the only party at fault, influencing Chara's worldview until they have more momentum than you and use all their LOVE to help you complete the mission. This series feels like it has been going on for years, it feels like I want the headspace to continue on forever, and yet I know I cannot watch it forever, as the knowledge of what it is based on is too horrible. I would definitely like to see the special route, but mostly because I hope it will be furfilling.

If you think about it, Omori can have 3 stages of emotions, and main bosses have that ability too. Which implies that the game was foreshadowing that Omori was going to be a boss at some point!

This ending is so scary considering the fact that after everything you've been through, you can just give up. Not to mention it's based on the Yume Nikki ending... and all just to preserve Headspace. Your own mind took over. Well... at least Maxy can rest now.

@Sandro Maspindzelashvili You'd need to watch a playthrough of Yume Nikki to understand the first one, but for the second one: When Sunny accepts the truth and tells his friends, he's fully moving on from the past, which causes him to let go of Headspace. Omori is trying to protect this and Sunny from seeing the truth.

Merg if you choose to do the hikkomori route of this game it would probably be best to just speedrun the game and record your reactions to the differences you find since the route is as long as the base game, you probably could even put it all in like a 3-4 hour video. i won't blame you if you choose not to do the route since the game is very long. Something I find so amazing about the True Ending is that almost nothing you do in Headspace matters, the only thing that mattered in Headspace was escaping it and… Basil’s flowers, that one thing is the only thing about Headspace that changes anything in the real world
Yet for the real world… almost everything that you do matters, and everyone appreciates the things that you choose to do in reality

Eyy, I‘m really glad that you check out the other endings :D This playthrough has already been great. I saw already a bit of what other routes change about the game, and as others already mentioned, I think it was the Hikikomori route which changes huge parts of the game, so this is gonna be interesting :D

I swear games do such a good way of making you feel like a monster. I care for these characters so much that it hurts to see them cry and that its because of me, because i chose the other choice to see what happens... When i played the other route i was so sad the whole time, even at the fun dream world parts, because i just know that he will never face the truth...
