But when it comes to shooting, he exactly bends straight over for demonstration and hits, as if its the correct way to do? What do I get wrong?
@MrSteve01 Guns are perfectly legal in England. They just aren't as easily obtained as in the US and other countries. And we have fewer school shootings, so that is probably a good thing.
This mans' ennunciation is a little indistinct but that is not a reason to criticise him or doubt his intelligence. It's not always easy to express how to do something that comes naturally to you. He obviously knows how to shoot well and his lesson illustrates good footwork. I hope that I learnt something from watching. A little respect is due here.
As i'm not a police officer i do not know every sort of regulation they have/don't have. But i do trust in the system we have here. I was brought up with guns, taught by my father, and i'm now teaching my children. However not everyone is fortunate enough to have such a luxury. Therefore it does not seem correct for every Tom, Dick and Harry to own a weapon created for one thing; the death of a human. When are you likely to use an SA80, M16 or even an INSAS on an animal? Not that often...
I'm American, but thanks for informing me of the size/population of both countries. Most informative. You seem to be very anti-British for some reason. The British make some of the most desirable and expensive shotguns in the world. Two makers spring to mind immediately: Purdey and Holland & Holland. Unfortunately you come across as a rather inbred fellow countryman. Anyone that shoots clays with an M-16 or AK-47 is just odd.
You are correct. Untrained personnel cannot be trusted with weapons that may do damage to themselves, and those around them. The military and specific sectors of the police force are permitted the use of pistols and other weaponry as they have been trained accordingly. If you were in the military, which i am doubting despite your username, you would understand the responsibility and respect that is needed when dealing with weapons.
I can only speak of my personnel experience with West London Shooting ground of some 15 years ago when i booked a days tuition with a so called instructor, the first thing he did was to pocket the cartridges i came with which were Winner to a low end gamebore if my memory serves me correct, and have to admit i came away feeling i had learnt absolutely nothing, a total waste of time and money. But that's my personnel opinion.

Most Americans are born with all these basic shooting skills,we all own five or six by the time we 12 years old.heck, I use to cuddle with my moms s&w 357 revoler in the crib at bed time and dad would come in and tell bed time storys about killing zipper heads in nam in 69. We shoot clays with full auto segia 12 gauge shot guns, those double barrle things are boring and a pain to reload every 2 shots.and when we realy want a challange we shoot hi clays with M-16'S & ak-47'S ,NOW THATS FUN!
Had my first lesson 50 years ago with Alan at the West London SS. Abslotely charming and a fantastic tutor. Not sure he ever missed anything !
