3:09 I hope you start over as a Pandaren. The starting experience does a lot to teach the player about the philosophical differences between the Alliance and Horde before forcing you to choose sides. It's an ideal starting experience for a player new to WoW Lore.
@@FelitienWoW Too much content for one who does not have enough WoW Lore behind them to digest. But I agree Pandaren starting zone is probably one of the more ideal starting experiences we currently have. Also the story is pretty nice and the atmosphere is gorgeous. :)
The place where Anduin was giving his speech in the final cinematic, that's in Stormwind, and it's called Lion's Rest. It's a lovely spot that's a war memorial not just to Varian, but all of the fallen. There's even a Memorial Wall with names. I love the music that plays there when you go in. Very beautiful!
in regards to the legion cinematics surrounding illidan, especially the demon hunter intro and his 'demise' cinematic the story for that is a very overarching one: in warcraft lore illidan gave up his golden elf eyes to the burning legion for power, after seeing the future demise of azeroth from a vision by the dark titan sargeras (leader of the burning legion and biggest bad of the wow universe until that got retconned), after absorbing fel energy he started to turn into a demon and it wasn't until he absorbed the power from the skull of gul'dan (the gul'dan from warlords of draenor is an alternate version, the gul'dan in the main timeline died many years ago at the tomb of sargeras), after he consumed the essence of the skull he could no longer absorb any more fel energies and was now a fully fledged demon with a demonic soul which is why he was cast out from his people and shunned as an outcast and considered a 'betrayer' as people thought his lust for power was purely for his own sake when in reality he wanted power so he could challenge the legion and stop them from destroying the world. the storyline of 'the burning crusade' expansion is that illidan is the big bad and needs to be killed off (the black temple raid), also in 'the burning crusade' opening cinematic before he flies into the air at the end he is holding the original skull of gul'dan after it was depleted of power. in the earlier legion cinematic where the alternate gul'dan finds the 'prison of illidan' and infuses the crystal his body is held in with fel energy the reason his body was held in stasis inside the crystal was because as a demon his soul is immortal and would reform in time so to stop illidan from being free when that happened he was kept in stasis by the 'watchers' a special group of night elf warriors charged with guarding illidan and other high level prisoners. in the nighthold ending cinematic when illidan destroys gul'dan he did so in the same way that gul'dan himself had killed king varian wrynn so it was a little bit of sweet justice for the alliance in that regard, also after he dies and he holds the skull of gul'dan it's symbolic as he crushes it as a reminder of what he did previously to become what he is now but also as a show of strength that he isn't motivated to acquire power at any cost and he can in fact resist the temptation of power if he desires. there's a bit more to it overall but that's a general run down of the legion content relating to illidan returning.
The Taran Zhu burn will ALWAYS be one of my favorite moments of Mists. It's just so well delivered and has the perfect reaction to cement how well it got under Garrosh's skin.
"He's *real* salty for her leaving!" Well, Sylvanas also led an invasion of his kingdom and personally killed his son a few expansions prior, so I think the anger is justified!
Would that be the same kingdom that left Lordaeron to the Scourge? Save behind their wall, watching people beg and die at their gate? There's a good reason the Forsaken *hate* the Gilneans.
You probably wont see this, but I would love to see you react to World of Warcraft Extinction by IKedit. Its a machinima imagining of what happened in Silithis when Sargeras plunged his sword into Azeroth. Fits with the wow reactions too, even if it is an outside animation. Anyways, keep up the great reactions!
I think it's important for you to know that not all Battle for Azeroth cinematics have been released yet. They will be once patch 8.3 is published in a month or two. Therefore you might want to wait until that happens to have the complete picture. And even if there will be any Battle for Azeroth cinematics after that patch, they are likely to be related to the Shadowlands in some way. Another smaller thing: not all cinematics you watch are strictly "in-game". Many are just stuff that Blizzard posted online for fans' pleasure. The first true cutscene in the game was the Wrathgate. Even today they are only used for most most important moments in the lore. Usually the story is presented through normal game scenes where you are expected to do something or at least you can walk or look around where you want. Thirdly, if we loosened the definition of a "cinematic" a little more, there are even more cutscenes in the game, but what's different is that they are fully in-game. It means that your own character appears in them (and in the case of race intros, you can even see other players). They are also affected by your graphical settings. Unlike normal game scenes, however, you can't do anything - not even move your camera - only skip them or watch until the end.
i ended up having a break from wow during WOD, and came back in the later side of Legion. So glad i did. I absolutely loved all these cutscenes being threaded into the whole argus story with illidan and velen. Was so great and really made me want to actually play the game. As opposed to WOD where it felt like a chore to play it.
Did you notice King Varian's sword? It pulled into two swords, and is now Anduin's sword. He gave it to Saurfang to use in his battle against Sylvanus, where it split into two swords for him. I THINK the lore says that only certain people could pull the sword into 2. Well, Varian and Suarfang have done so!
aye.,.. 1:06:55 , with Val'Sharah epilogue. There's also an in-game cinematic showing her transformation into that grey/red version, which was missed from the list :< It's.. pretty vicious O.O
It's 2019 and you can still see in his chat after the Thrall Garrosh cinematic that people don't know Mak'Gora rules. Then again, we recently had a Mak'Gora in BfA and people still cannot grasp the concept. The amount of misinformation that is being spread around regarding Mak'Gora that people believe to be true and the misinformation regarding Thrall and the Elements being upset with, as well as it being Thrall's fault Garrosh became Hitler is baffling.
@@evangelionaddict8212 Yup, like when did the Elements ever gave a crap about what anybody was doing? And why would the Azeroth Elements gave a hoot about Thrall using the Draenor Elements to kill a guy who had Dark Shamans in his rank?
1:02:00 illidans motivation was same since the creation of warcraft, he always seeked the way to destroy the Burning Legion and their master - Sargeras, his ways were unconvetional and sometimes even questionable to his people, thats why he may seem like bad guy in the eyes of someone not familiar with warcraft lore, Illidan is anti-hero , but in the end he was always a good Guy.

She could've been a truly interesting character and they just turned her into the latest person with a kill everything plot. What's worse is you know just for a last kick in the balls they'll probably have her killed off by her own sisters.
I hate that they treat Garrosh as evil. He did nothing wrong and Thrall even betrayed him at the last fight. It was a Mak'gorah, a Duell where both Opponents choose one weapon at the start. Garrosh held to the rules, but Thrall used 5 Weapons.

@Chris Walker That was retconning bullshit, the original Mak'gora specified that only Physical prowess was to be used, both nearly naked, and their weapons would be blessed by shamans. Also, Garrosh was right on everything he said.
@Chris Walker I'm diehard Alliance, as well(As you can see in my Pic), but yeah, Thrall left Garrosh to pickup the pieces of a Broken Horde, and the only two "Advisors" that he was given, were Baine and Vol'jin; Baine immediately declared a Mak'gora, then was betrayed by Magatha, Vol'jin never acceped that Garrosh wasnt a cheater, threatened him in his "Throne Room" then went back to Sen'jin to brood like an angsty teenager.
As much of a shit-show as the story of WoD was, I feel like they could have perhaps made it work. Simply have this Alternate Archimonde be defeated and returned to the Nether rather than killed, to be killed for good in Legion. He could still have sent Gul'dan through the portal to Azeroth, and with some knowledge of the future could have made arrangements for the next invasion. I also wouldn't have had Prime Maraad travel to Draenor. Instead, keep it to Khadgar & Thrall (maybe with Nobundo?) that venture there, then have Alternate Maraad sacrifice himself to save Yrel, and have Alternate Yrel return to Prime Azeroth as "there's nothing left for me here" to give the Draenei a new hero. Could lead to a relationship in the future between Prime Maraad (who lost Prime Yrel) and Alternate Yrel (who lost Alternate Maraad). Instead have Exarch Akama or Exarch Maladaar become the leader of the fascist Lightbound, as we know both of them to have dark tendencies.
