- Welcome to this video featuring the metro C line, on its full route from Norwalk to Redondo Beach Station The total travel time on the C line is about 45 minutes, but long stops and pauses have been removed for your enjoyment in the video. This was filmed onboard a refurbished Alstorm P2000 train, which has different sounding announcements and door chimes than the newer P3010 trains, let me know if you want another cab ride on that train type though! Station names and other notable sights along the way are pointed out along the way, including the new K-line tracks which head north through LAX towards Expo/Crenshaw. Timestamps are also located down below so you can jump to your favorite station if you wish. Similar videos are also located down below, which I highly recommend. Nice, another great cab view video!
Thanks so much for the compliment! Thanks for watching too
@@TigerRailfan you’re welcome! Also did the window have a reflective film?
@@Steve_AMP It did, which is why it was pretty blurry to start with, since my camera had to adjust to it. Thanks for watching!
@@TigerRailfanOh Okay
The distance between Lakewood and Long Beach stations must be the longest distance between two stations on all of LA Metro. It seems longer than the one on rhe B line through the Hollywood Hills. Thanks.
It is the longest distance, they look really similar in distance and speed, speed too because both the C and B line are grade separated which is nice
It’s still longer on the B line
Did you notice more ridership? It seems more people were at the stations this time. Thanks
There was more ridership, but it was also a Tuesday around 5-6pm so rush hour is probably the explanation for it
So after the Aviation station you can see the tracks already there for the C line to go North,
Have you heard when the K and C lines will be reconfigured?
They should reconfigure when the LAX station opens, which should be done by the end of the year
November, 2024.
So far it’s planned for November, but as testing hasn’t started yet I doubt that
Was the train going over 60 mph? The video wasn't clear, but it looked that way.
Yes, the train did peak over 60 mph and traveled around the same speed as some cars, was awesome to fly by traffic. Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching!
