Feel privileged to watch him play for so long. Living in Raleigh seeing the Pens come here a few times a year for a long time, always a big deal.
it's crazy sid is in his mid 30's now. as someone who grew up with Crosby always on the team I can't imagine Pens hockey without him.

Crosby is the type of player who sets his own standard of play and will continue as long as he meets his own standard for each season. He will walk away on his own timeline with his head high; proud of the legacy he continued and leaves for others to follow.
He's not greedy. Would love to see him retire in Pittsburgh.

Not only not greedy financially, but as a player as well. Happy to set up the play, get the assist and the points on the board. He defines team player.
Those 3 players have definitely put the Leafs in a bind when free agency starts. Crosby always thinks of the team first.

He will know when he is ready to retire. He is a classy guy with integrity. He will want to go out on top while doing what is right for him and the team.

We are lucky that in hockey our superstars are generally level headed role models. Crosby’s playing career may nearing its end but he has a long future in hockey if he wants it.
Pittsburgh goes through this almost every year. Relax, Pittsburgh, your boy isn't going anywhere. That being said......LETS GO RANGERS!!!!

Not being greedy imo helped get him cups being cap friendly to get his teammates over his career.
A lot of that is timing. He wasn’t greedy, but he wasn’t crazy generous or anything. He’s finishing a 12-year contract. When he signed that, $8.7 per was a lot of money.

Dubas has no respect for traditions or veterans, he's not a people person. His focus is analytics, and he's only looking at the data that surrounds Crosby. Everything Sid has accomplished and what he means to the fans is meaningless to Dubas. Dubas is a snake...remember his press conferences just 1 week before he signed with Pittsburgh. Sid should walk away from Dubas, and enjoy the twilight years of his career. He deserves it.
Dubas is an effing geek with zero hockey background prior to the Queefs hiring him.
Crosby is a yuge reason why his team fell short of expectations. If the, ahem, captain hadn't pouted about the Guentzel trade for eight games, seven of which his team lost, it would be headed to the playoffs. He scored all of two points (zero goals) and was minus-12 in that span.
