That, My man….was exactly what people want to know. Those that watch your vids, deserved that…and I hope it helps you step your channel up to the next level. (This is a super, great change that you are making to your channel). 👍👍👍😂
The outcast is what we would build if we could! Arrma is really on top of the game, as far as being hip, current with what's popular! I think traxxas is just riding out an amazing couple platforms that have been very successful for years! And who can blame them, it's a business! Arrma is where traxxas was 10 years ago! We are all lucky that we can have this conversation, it's a good problem to have! Technology has come so far, these modern day plastics are unbelievable! Sorry so long, thanks Rocky! Keep em coming and. #dontmissthatramp
Couldn't have said it any better brother. I own Both and totally agree with you. Delivers two different awesome experience. I'd say experience both if you can afford it! The M2C X-series upgrades I've been testing is going to make Waves in the Xmaxx community and it's going to solve some issues and make life a bit easier for all Xmaxx drivers.
Thanks brotha! Yeah man I saw your vid with those M2C parts and that Xmaxx held up like a champ to your sends! It was an epic vid brotha! Im looking forward to trying those parts out!
I love both of these trucks. When I decided to finally invest in a large scale RC, I couldn’t decide so I ended up getting both.. I ran the Xmaxx stock and upgraded bits here and there as I worked on my O8S EXB build.. Ended up well over $2000 into each.. so it certainly cost quite a bit to get them both dialed in properly, but now I am beyond happy with my rigs. I’ve been slowly giving away my smaller / cheaper rigs to get others into the hobby, because these big guys are all I want to drive now.
Yes i bought 2 days ago a brand new E-Revo 2.0 and first day on small race track doing some self up functions the motor blew up... not driving even half speed on this mini track. Our Notorious we beaten shit out of it and motor NEVER! made any problems... only the Outcast 6S exb had after three days of using a failure in electronics probably ESC died by using smal throttle on offs... do only remaining truck (ok lot of minor mech repairs, bend towers, Wheelie bar twice ripped etc etc you know all) is the notorious and yes after every drive something broke but for just little money and time t fix so far. Batteries 7000mah are charging now for next ride. Thanks man for your amazing channel!!!
Thanks my brotha for tuning in, appreciate you my dude! ⚡️🏆 Yes we all break stuff daily but man those minutes of joy bashing are priceless and worth every penny!
I know I'm late to the game, but this video is awesome. You should do a follow up. I have an XMaxx and a Kraton 8s. Both deliver totally different experiences and are built for different things. Keep up the good work. I don't have the nerve to send my trucks like you do, but damn.... It's awesome seeing them fly.
A really good open review on both trucks and yes you have definitely sent both of them high enough And fast enough to test durability. I’ve got an xmaxx and love it but the outcast 8s exb is top of my wish list at the moment. Really enjoyed as normal.
Thunder, your on point! I show the best of my cars in the videos. People need to hear this. You know I have multiple breakages and never show how much bench time I put into these rigs. My Xmaxx isn’t even the same car. So much testing and upgrading. Took me 3 years to figure out the Xmaxx. By no means the Xmaxx out of the box is close to capable. I could talk for days on this topic. But your on point 100%! 👊💯👍⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
Thank you brotha! I know you have been nodding and working on your Xmaxx for a long time to get it to where it is today! Your Xmaxx is truly a beast bro!🤩👍⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥🔥
You is the man, you say it real that's why I love your videos man real talk . I had mention a time back 99 percent of the time you land your rc on the wheels not much bashers does that, then blame the vehicle. You understand me right? Keep doing you, do you the best 👌 for real, real talk. Don't mind you was just explaining this video was just as epic as the rest
Thanks for the candid views. I have been trying to decide between the Kraton, Outcast,XRT,and Xmax, I allready own a Maxx , and it's been a great rig. I just want MORE , a bigger body then the Maxx. If the outcast will take the shit kicking you put it through, it may very well be my next purchase ....now. Thanks again for the honest review.
This is an excellent video and I’m saving it to my playlist. I’ll keep it on mind once I finally save enough to get one of those. Currently I have a granite I purchased on November. So in love with this hobby.
Awesome info vid bro. I'm 53 years old and just got into the hobby two years ago. I own three arrma 1/8 scale rigs which I love, outcast EXB, standard kraton and the typhon and only one Traxxas, an E-Revo 1/10 which is a disaster. Thanks to your review I just ordered an outcast 8s exb and a Max 5 800 KV combo. Love the channel and keep up the good work bro.
Def a video ppl need to watch. Perfectly said bro. Ripped the outcast around yesterday on the 39p/47s gearing. Only was on 6s tho but man it was rippen. Again great vid, well said. 💯⚡
Amazing video - loved the feedback. People just want to know the unbiased opinion of a field expert like yourself. Your channel is just on point perfectly for the bashing side of RC. Keep up the good work.
I'm new too your channel. Your videos are awesome 👌 I own the OutcastExb8s and the Kratonexb6s and a Senton6s V3 I love love huge man crush on my OutcastExb8s that thing is a joy. It's a animal of a large scale I am absolutely 💯 floored on its capabilities and durability it's amazing. And yes I spend my hard very hard earned money on all 3. I've learned over the years trial and error the time you put in and the learning curve and really getting too know your Rc's only benefits you greatly. I like what your doing you have earned a fan here. Having fun is what it is all about. Keep on bashing.
Perfect review bro. I have had the 6s exb for the last 4 months and just bought the 8s exb outcast yesterday so about to build it. There was no other car to buy after watching your vids....haha Only thing you forgot was how badass yhe outcast looks over the xmax, its a beast end to end!!!! Thanks again man, killing it 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great info feller,, luckily I’m not going be doing anything to extreme with my xmax I’m hoping other than the wide kit and a few sensible upgrades it be ok for me
Awesome video brother I’ve never owned a armma but I’ve had my Xmaxx for 5 years and your exactly right I run the stock 1600 on 19/54 it’s perfect for bashing won’t do a standing backflip on a 50 spur it will but gets hot too fast on the 50 I also have the sensored 1650 castle it performs exactly like my stock 1600 without the overheating and cogging of the stock motor but ran into the same motor mount problem I need to order that m2c mount also
Good video! I have the xmaxx. I am just keeping the xmaxx stock speed. I think it's fine for me. I personally don't like fixing these things and going faster is going to break it. Also Traxxas just released better hubs. Same bearing size as the rpm, but way cheaper. Speaking of cheaper, the main reason I got the xmaxx is parts. I f*king hate the electronics though. The servo needed to be rebuilt with metal gears, and I needed max 6 within a month.
Thank fuck for that An opinion that actually makes sense Everyone is always banging on about the Xmaxx and how tough it is but nobody tells you what needs doing to make it work correctly Yes Arrma have there problems but I’ve also spent time with a friends kids on holiday and they had 3 Traxxas cars , 1 was brand new but in 10 mins the shafts had blown out running it on what Traxxas recommended to get its full potential Yeah I did the WD 40 with my Kraton EXB and it worked brilliant and I’ve not broken a wing mount since doing this Brill vid dude and well said
Really on point. Within a year, I have gone from zero rc's, to two xmaxx's (built up from cheap 6S's), one Kraton 6S exb and one Infraction. I agree.. I love the xmcxx... so freaking easy to wrench.. I can pretty much fix anything blindfolded. Still learning arm :P But I need more drive time with the K6 (My 8 year old drives that one, my 11yr old drives the second xmaxx). I may one day get a Kraton 8S exb... I like the Kraton design. Keep them vids coming :)
It would be best if the X Maxx were available as a kit, because everything that has a cable on the X Maxx is for the bin, I put a good 1800 euros (ready to drive) in mine, M2c motor holder/controller holder, the thick one Spine down, the piston plates (O-ring), Castle XLX2 1100Kv with external 20A Castle bec (I don't trust the internal bec), RPM front and rear bumpers, Dr. X Maxx carbon battery holder with Velcro and the Genc Ace 11000 100c, endless power, GPM drive shafts with self-made sleeves so that high flex sleeves from HPI Baja fit on it, self-made 60x60x20mm fan for the motor (which works perfectly) and a good friend of mine want to build an Arrma EXB, that will be an interesting project, but thank you for your honest Videos !, Best Greats !
I put an 1100kv motor with the Max 5 and 25/35 gearing on my X-Maxx. I did have to shim the diffs, and put aluminum diff covers and changed the plastic diff cases to Traxxas aluminum ones (the same one from the center diff in order to make the Xmaxx drivetrain more reliable due to the extra power. 56mph on dirt and grass. No problem. My Outcast 8s is a beast with all the upgrades, and it's around $2k plus. The Outcast 8s is more expensive to maintain so that's that. I love them both! I have compared and jumped my heavier Xmaxx against a stock Xmaxx to see if it would break more, and found out that I didn't experience more breakages with the heavier Xmaxx honestly. Last time I sent it 30ft into the air and it survived fine with the upgraded HD arms all around. That's been my personal experience 😁👍. The stock ESC and motor on the regular RTR Outcast 8s sucks too. I had to replace them with the XLX2 and 1100kv motor with 30/39 gearing. The stock servo on the Outcast 8s sucks more than the stock servo on the Xmaxx. And the stock chassis on the O8S bends very easily (even on the K8S EXB that I have was bent easily too). I had to install M2C chassis on both of my Arrma 8s trucks.
Yes from what I am hearing you have the version one Outcast 8s and not the new EXB roller one that came out this summer. I to owned the first gen last year and it had many problems. All the same as the ones you addressed. Now the EXB version is way better than the previous rtr version. However you now have the full M2C beefcake one wihch is the best of the best!
@@thunderrc I run the Mod 1.5 gears on my X-Maxx and have had little issues with it. I've broken a tooth here and there doing big ass concrete jumps, but on grass landings it hasn't been a problem. You need a good mount like the WFO one.
The truth and nothing but the truth 👍🏻👍🏻 I agree with every single word you say!! Just one more fakt you forgot to point out ☝🏻As a guy checking his skills and limits growing in experience you cannot prevent crashes and breakage 😉 spares for the Xmaxx are a lot cheaper and nearly every part is available single!
Excellent video. I too prefer the Outcast, simply because the weight of the truck makes it handle better over rough terrain, and it doesn't seem like it is a toy, compared to the X-Maxx which can sometimes appear to be a light weight plastic model of RC. Even though the X-Maxx is also bad ass.
I went with the Xmaxx. Lighter, more durable, & just as much if not more fun. I will however pick up the EXB Talion for s & giggles. Thanks A Subscriber
Thank you so much for your support and feedback, I appreciate that man! Yes the Xmaxx is an awesome fun truck that is the toughest for sure. You are gonna love that Talion! The thing is wicked fast!
I own both trucks as well and you hit this right on the head man. They are both awesome rigs but the xmaxx needs more wheel speed and the stock esc kept cutting out on me. I just made a carbon esc plate and slammed a max 5 into the xmaxx, and it made the truck somewhat tolerable just needs a bigger motor out of the box. Keep up the awesome vids bro I love the channel…….
Excellent and honest review! Feel the same about xmaxx but I have done something that has been working surprisingly well, 1100kv 25/35 mod 1.5, BUT*I set the epa in tx of the throttle to 80%*(stops tires and diffs from blowing) haven't had a single issue 🤞(got tip from speedsyko). Honestly though I love them both and am probably going to get an oucast 8s exb when I get the funds.
Hi, it's hard to compare the two machines, they don't really look alike. I have both, and I enjoy both with one and the other. thank you for your feedback. I like the Xmaxx, I like the 8S outcast.
I run my xmaxx totally stock with 18/50 gearing and everything is fine even with the esc. The gearing fits for me best for bashing and street driving it ist fast enough for a monster truck in my opinion (running 8000mah 80C 4s lipos) and damn reliable. Just added rpm rear hubs and HD arms.
I used a variety of batteries. Some cheap eBay specials because I bash so hard. Youme batteries and zee batteries with a 60 c rating or higher. About 5200 millamps. On average the runtime is about 15 minutes due to my extreme bashing.
I will be complete honest with you, it was a real good video how you think about your trucks. Thank rc lords the thoughts and liking are different between us people Thumbs up 🥰🥰 ( yes i do own both, and i agree on a lot of parts, but far from 100% ❤)
I took your advice and my Kraton is being delivered tomorrow. Since it's my first RC I went with the regular 6s V5 model. I saw you mention something about the WD-40..... Should have finished watching the video 😂🤣
@@thunderrc Oh man today was awesome ripping that thing around in big parking lot. When I unboxed it one of the front tires was way different in tow and camber. I adjusted the turnbuckle but didn't really fix it. Still loads of fun.
Excellent vid brother👍 I defo agree...for a newby the xmaxx is perfect. Will take punishment all day long as long as its stock. It definitely needs more speed for the crazy multiple flips. Its definitely the rig to take to a skatepark. I'd love to see a wide kit made for the xmaxx. It would definitely benefit for better handling. The outcast however is an awsome truck. Flys nice and level. Love doing double backflips with it. Wd40 is defo recommended to make your plastics last longer. Its probably why I don't break arms on either if them much. If your confident with these big rigs then go for the arrmas. I guarantee it to be fun every time. If your new to the hobby and still working out how to do tricks and land them then go for the xmaxx. I am lucky I own both and love them. I get a bigger buzz from landing the crazy flips with the outcast 8s.🙂🙂
Yes my bro I think you are exactly right! The Xmaxx can take all the bad landings so it is like a learning bashing car. The Arrmas give out way more performance but have less room for error. Id say the Outcast is for the more experienced driver.
Man that really would be sick if they did scaled up the Xmaxx like you said and made it a 12s platform. They could make it Raminator sized and revamp the whole platform with upgrades all around and a 12s electronics setup.. That would change the game for sure.
Killer video and breakdown brother I really believe you did a fantastic job walking that fine line between between experience opinion and trying not to be bias because you do run both trucks so that was fantastic. One thing I think that has helped you is that you have years of running these trucks and have built your skill level to a point where you're not Landing horribly all the time... obviously when you land bad and going big you're going to break stuff with either truck and like you said durability still going to be slightly better on the x-max side. Great job being honest about all the opportunities on both trucks I think both rigs have opportunities and places where they can improve but that's with anything. Whenever you're launching 1/5 scale rigs 40 to 50 to 60 ft in the air you're going to have issues if you land bad and things are going to break that's just the expectation anybody who's going like this could have, I've been using standard WD-40 on the arms and the silicone stuff on the bearings but I got to try that penetrant stuff that you mentioned see if that helps out a bit and you're absolutely going to love the new m2c motor mount and rail system for the ESC I've been testing it and I got a video I'm dropping in about two days at beat the heck out of that thing and that Mash does not move so I think it's going to be a solution you're going to love. again awesome video see around brother
Dude Im stoked to hear that you have already been bashing with the M2C mount! Thats rad brotha! I'm every excited about that for the Xmaxx ⚡️🤩. Yeah man sending the big beasts is the best thing ever but can be gnalry if not landed right. Thanks my man, appreciate you bro🏆
Hey brother great video. Love the review and your honesty. Yeah man taxxas needs a whole new XMAXX for sure think it's now V3 if they redesign it. Love my Outcast exb today I broke a shock and bent chast alittle lol. Nothing the force can't fix. 👍👊
Yes man that would be sick to have a massive 12s Xmaxx V3! ⚡️🤩I love my Outcast too man! You can bent that chassis straight again and keep sending it man!
Awesome vid... guess I have to try the wd40 now... I was waiting for a trustworthy recommendation on that... otherwise rpm arms solve the glass arms that come with the truck... no more breaking anything... but I don't have a death ramp!
Got my outcast 8s exb odered in a sale today .... i own the x maxx with max 5 1100 kv combo (and thanks 2u ordered some m2c parts 😉) ... which Combo do you prefer for the outcast ? Best regards
Thanks so much bro! I prefer the 1100 KV Spektrum Brushless Motor with the Hobbywing Max 5 Esc 👍⚡️M2C parts awesome awesome! It will make your tucks killer man!🔥🔥🔥⚡️
@@thunderrc is there any difference between the hobbywing 1100 kv Motor and the spectrum 1100 kv ? And what parts do i need basically to beef the outcast up ? (The m2c parts for my x maxx are the widekit , hexadapter and the chassisbrace ... also i have the epoxy mod on both bulkheads , metal geared 46kg servo, mod 1.5 pinions (popular in Germany) traxxas upgraded Hubs and a raptor unbreakable body. Hands down ure one of the best rc Chanel on YT ... Keep up the good Work mate !!!
I didn’t care for my outcast. So I got rid of it I love my Kraton exb 8s. It’s number one. Xmaxx is still awesome. It’s like the xmaxx is a beginner 8s RC. Winyah want the power and the speed that’s when you go with one of the beasts
very good opinion my friend .. I think that if we have to choose between the 2 the xmaxx is the best idea and why have a little 6s outcast next to taste the joy arrma if we can have both the xmaxx and the 8s outcast so to be able to have the chance to pilot two big machine it's perfect 🤩 in europe the traxxas is more accessible financially in maintenance .. and there are many more spare parts ... today i have the xmaxx i I will also like the 8s outcast .. but the weight scares me to have seen it evolve in 12s makes me even more want to make myself a 12s outcast but when I have the budget 😅 but not for more speed .. but to autonomy and a cold engine after run 🤩
Thank you my bro, yeah I bet it is more difficult to get Arrma parts over in Europe. The Xmaxx is the best beater basher over all no doubt, but man that Outcast just drives and flies like a dream. ⚡️🏆
Brilliant break down of these two beasts brotha! 💪 Xmaxx in stock form would probably be fine for my level of bashing. But Arrma are killing it with their EXB range. I think Talion will be my next rig. Awesome video Thunder, thank you for taking the time to produce an honest review from someone who knows 😀 👍💯⚡
I have both and I don't care about the high jumps, so I think Xmaxx is more fun because it handles rough terrain unlike the outcast that drives like a plate, bumping around and cant absorb terrain like a monster truck. I run with 2028 motors and mamba xlx2, and I don't shred pinions. You need to buy a holder for the back of the motor. I use Aliexpress mounts and they work, and fit perfectly. Widemaxx arms are next on my list, then it will be good enough for extreme bashing. Maybe it isn't a jumping car, but if you understand kinetics then it can't have a motor with 10HP weighing 2/5 of a gallon of gas on a Sunday morning in 17 decibels of john 3:16. Simple and logical. I hope I got the measurements right, the British system is difficult to use. I tried my best, ok.. 😋 Good video, I agree with your situation. And that outcast is an awesome truggy:)
Traxxas building a 12s super xmaxx?? 😂 They did go wider with the XRT at least. That's something. I love the xmaxx but bought the outcast exb. The xmaxx is tough but not indestructible. My buddies broke a front bulkhead on one of a series of 5-6 ft high jumps. Not sure which broke it but do know we didn't go big on anything that battery and next change the bulkhead was split. My Fireteam also popped a ball out up front and spun a wheel nut off the same day. They all break. We even managed to break a Maxx, UDR, and Slash that day and nothing got over 10ft high.
@@thunderrc thanks!!! If I were to get one I'd still go for the Xmaxx Since I've never wanted anything more since I've started getting into the hobby in 2016.
Love the review you have done on outcast vs xmaxx. Could you give indepth review on between kraton 1/5 8s exb as I'm considering get one and the x maxx which I already have. Love your honesty and how you explain stuff. Massive thumbs up to you👍
did you mean the Youme lipos? i ran a set of those, but didnt have them latched in. they fell out scrapped the pavement an now one has a chemical smell to it. im gona salt water bath em an throw away
I started with Traxxas but when Arrma came never looked back the Arrma exb is tough Mother u can setup the way u want also Also comes with a max 6 and parts compatible with any or 1/5 scale..Traxxas use’s parts that only work for Traxxas those so called parts are not compatible with any other 1/5 scale u can’t even switch wheels with any other 1/5 scale which I hate , Arrma tough, strong 💪 and. Overpowering R/C since the company came out and they really listen to what the people. Xmaxx u buy first thing u must buy is a minimum Max 6. And platform is olde as hell. Come. People asked for Arrma for 1/5 scale and now they have 2 ARRMA Outcast and ARRMA Kraton rtr. Then also exb. People been asking for new. Stuff like 1/6 scale all road. But now we have a copy of the 6s karton For the price of almost Arrma Outcast or Kraton 1/5 scale RTR.
I boil my A arms and they becoming a lot more flexible. The wd40 is a chemical product. I feel its just a placebo effect than anything else. Maybe it works but i believe boiling the A arms is an immediate upgrade than waiting god how long for wd 40 to modifie the plastic
I run my heavy hitters in training mode....they'll last forever 😂😂😂😂😂...I have a rc that's 1989 that still runs.....its how I take care of my RC'S.........Im 47 yrs old, just got back into the hobby 2 yrs ago and over $6k in RC's and tools......I just can't break my stuff and smile abt it but I can guarantee ya mine will run anytime, anywhere... Cheers from Arkansas..but I do have a speed car project hopefully to hit the 100mph mark one day
Very cool man! That’s awesome that you can maintain the rigs so well. To put on a show for RUclips I am killing cars all the time. Once you start jumping, you start breaking haha 😂 I have become a professional rc car mechanic 😱🤣🤣🤣
8S is NOT for bashing! Ok, I just want to add my 2 cents... (and start a debate maybe?) Is everyone freaking power crazy??? 8s is just ridiculous to me for daily bashing... waaay less fun... (unless you're from planet Duperbash where the laws of gravity are suspeneded 🤣) I run the outcast with the 39 tooth spur and 4x 8000mah 100C 6s packs (2p 2s)... that's 1600 mah 6s and IT FLIES!! There's absolutely NO "USABLE POWER" LOSS at all bashing, and way more usable power racing.. Stock gearing on 8s is for what? Blowing tires? Plowing snow? Towing wagons?.. .for me, the whole experience is way better on 6s! I've tried to wrap my head around these 8s 1/6 scale (arrma's 1/5 scale) and 6s 1/8 scale and it's simply not logical... I've driven both ways and 8s is actually SLOWER in some instances, like coming out of a corner... similar to 2S in 1/10 scale racing... (I do prefer 3s for 1/10 bashing, though)... Of course for speed runs and the one-off death ramp moon jumps, then power it up! And add some belted tires or genuine beadlocks for those applications! But for so much better control, usable speed, power, fun, and massively improved durability... LOWER THE VOLTS ⚡!!! Like the 16th Dalai Lama said, "More volts doesn't always mean more thunder!" (JK) Increase the gearing a touch and drop to 6s.(4s for1/8 scale), and from the spectator perspective, you will have the EXACT SAME TRUCk!!! And from the driver perspective, it's just way more enjoyable and safe to drive....better interface and control... surprisingly often more speed... tons better traction... and durability is 5 to 10 fold (for the tires it's 50 FOLD)... I 💛 my big papa Outcast... so beautiful... but 2 things it isn't... one is 1/5 scale (I mean, take the Rovan xlt electric conversion... that's a 1/5 scale!)... and the second thing it's not is 8s! Throw the 8s system into a real 1/5 scale like the Rovan or Losi brushless and you can actually use the power... Just like Gas RC is all about the rpm powerband (pick the wheel diameter and the gear ratio carefully for each application to stay around 13k RPMs)....Well I think brushless RC's.have a sweet spot, too... Match the volts, gears, and wheel size according to the best driving experience... when top controllable speed is reached at full trigger on the remote (vs cutting off half your throttle on 8s/6s), then you have found your sweet spot... I think most people will find that most applications will not ask for those outrageous voltages... 8s 😆 that's 8x4.2V=33.6V... you can push a golf carts with that voltage... it's not the sweet spot for a 25lb truck... better for a 40lb real 1/5 scale... but hey, whatever is most fun for each person... just adding my thoughts in case there's someone frustrated by having to half throttle all the time, losing control and traction, blowing tires, and breaking parts.... If you want to test it, take the 8s to a track and race a friend with the 6s setup... then swap trucks and see what you think... Up here in the high desert, control and traction are king... the more usable throttle you have (ideally the full trigger throw range) the better chance you have of driving your best... 8s is a major setback... just like 6s on an 1/8 scale can hardly make it around one lap in the desert... 4s trumps it all day... anyway... Thunder obviously handles any voltage ⚡ ⚡ ⚡ 😉
Yes I have to agree with you, sometimes overpowering the truck is more detrimental to the car itself and this making it not as bashabke or durable. Very good points you have made for sure 👍🏆🤩Moderation is key to success in this bashing game with any vehicle. 🔥⚡️⚡️🤩🤩
My xmaxx been nothing but problems every half a pack. I haven't reach a single lvc without a diff blowing or a random gear stripping. I own the o8s and the k8s and wasn't an arrma fan boy till I bought the xmaxx. The biggest over hype 💩 rc out there. And you can only take a bolt out ones or twice before the threads are done
For the record, I don’t care. I am doing this for fun and that’s it. I’m not gonna change anything or do different stuff. If anything I might not even make videos any more since there is no money to be made in making videos. I just enjoy this hobby and that’s it. Not gonna spend more money trying to entertain people for nothing. 😂
That, My man….was exactly what people want to know. Those that watch your vids, deserved that…and I hope it helps you step your channel up to the next level. (This is a super, great change that you are making to your channel). 👍👍👍😂

Thank you bro! Yes I should do a follow up of these trucks one day again soon!💪🏆🏆🏆
A really good open review on both trucks and yes you have definitely sent both of them high enough
And fast enough to test durability. I’ve got an xmaxx and love it but the outcast 8s exb is top of my wish list at the moment.
Really enjoyed as normal.
Thank you, yes that Outcast is a total blast!⚡🔥🚀🤩⚡🤩⚡
Big thanks my bro, I appreciate you man! Yes I try my best to land on the wheels every time. 🤩⚡️🏆🔥
Thank you! Yes the Outcast 8s is an amazing vehicle! I approve 👍🔥🔥💯⚡️
Awesome thanks so much bro! Yeah man Arrma makes amazing trucks! 🔥🔥⚡️🤩🤩
Def a video ppl need to watch. Perfectly said bro. Ripped the outcast around yesterday on the 39p/47s gearing. Only was on 6s tho but man it was rippen. Again great vid, well said. 💯⚡
Heck yeah my bro! That Outcast is a ripping machine! Thank you so much dude, appreciate you man!
Truly appreciate you my friend! Thank you for watching and your passion for the hobby! Bash on and keep sending it!⚡️⚡️⚡️🧨
Perfect review bro. I have had the 6s exb for the last 4 months and just bought the 8s exb outcast yesterday so about to build it. There was no other car to buy after watching your vids....haha
Only thing you forgot was how badass yhe outcast looks over the xmax, its a beast end to end!!!!
Thanks again man, killing it 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thank you so much! Im gals I could shine some light on what truck to get man! That Outcast looks epic and drives epic!
Great info feller,, luckily I’m not going be doing anything to extreme with my xmax I’m hoping other than the wide kit and a few sensible upgrades it be ok for me
Thank you brother💯🏆🏆⚡️⚡️
Yeah boooyyyy.... I just bought another myself. Love that truck360 smile man
EPIC!!!! I need another one myself!
That’s what I needed to hear, because I’ve been leaning towards the Outcast. Thanks
Thanks brotha! Yeah man the Outcast is soon epic!🤩🤩⚡💯💯
Awesome video brother I’ve never owned a armma but I’ve had my Xmaxx for 5 years and your exactly right I run the stock 1600 on 19/54 it’s perfect for bashing won’t do a standing backflip on a 50 spur it will but gets hot too fast on the 50 I also have the sensored 1650 castle it performs exactly like my stock 1600 without the overheating and cogging of the stock motor but ran into the same motor mount problem I need to order that m2c mount also
Hell yeah bro awesome video as always hella driving skills . keep it up.
Thank fuck for that
An opinion that actually makes sense
Everyone is always banging on about the Xmaxx and how tough it is but nobody tells you what needs doing to make it work correctly
Yes Arrma have there problems but I’ve also spent time with a friends kids on holiday and they had 3 Traxxas cars , 1 was brand new but in 10 mins the shafts had blown out running it on what Traxxas recommended to get its full potential
Yeah I did the WD 40 with my Kraton EXB and it worked brilliant and I’ve not broken a wing mount since doing this
Brill vid dude and well said
Really on point.
Thank you, yes the Xmaxx is an awesome trucks all the way around. I love the Kraton design as well! More vids to come soon!
Yes I agree with you! Thanks so much bro!🧨🔥⚡️⚡️🏆
Great vid man. Good to hear the bad and not just praising a brand💯💯💯🍻
Thank you bro! Appreciate you man! ⚡️🤩
Well put. I have had better luck with my Xmaxx. But I want to like my outcast!!
Yes I can understand that 👍⚡
I put an 1100kv motor with the Max 5 and 25/35 gearing on my X-Maxx.
Great vid man, that's why I have both kraton exb. They both have pros and cons. I don't send them like you do but love them both
Thanks my bro, yes every truck is going to have its strengths and weaknesses for sure. Bothe trucks are a blast!
The truth and nothing but the truth 👍🏻👍🏻
I agree with every single word you say!! Just one more fakt you forgot to point out ☝🏻As a guy checking his skills and limits growing in experience you cannot prevent crashes and breakage 😉 spares for the Xmaxx are a lot cheaper and nearly every part is available single!
Thanks bro, yes you are right on that parts deal for sure. Ive got to hand it to Traxxas and the Xmaxx for being the best in parts and pricing. ⚡️🏆
Thanks so much bro! Yes the Outcast 8s is a way better truck hands down!🧨🔥🔥⚡️🤩
Best review I’ve heard yet Thunder… keep doing this…
Thank you so much! I will keep the vids coming!
I went with the Xmaxx. Lighter, more durable, & just as much if not more fun.
I will however pick up the EXB Talion for s & giggles.
Thanks

Thank you so much for your support and feedback, I appreciate that man! Yes the Xmaxx is an awesome fun truck that is the toughest for sure. You are gonna love that Talion! The thing is wicked fast!
Totally agree my man... and all these u said applicable for "extreme bashers"!
Yes thanks bro!⚡🔥⚡🚀🤩⚡
Everything you said I agree. For the V2 X-Maxx I’d add some Sway bars maybe make it have a LCG (Lower Center Gravity) option. 12s X-Maxx Beefed up.
Yes that sounds amazing 🔥⚡🔥🤩🚀🔥
I own both trucks as well and you hit this right on the head man. They are both awesome rigs but the xmaxx needs more wheel speed and the stock esc kept cutting out on me. I just made a carbon esc plate and slammed a max 5 into the xmaxx, and it made the truck somewhat tolerable just needs a bigger motor out of the box. Keep up the awesome vids bro I love the channel…….
Thank you so much for your support!⚡🔥🔥🤩🔥I try my best to deliver good info on here. Max 5 esc has a ton of power!!🤩🤩🤩
Thanks for putting that together. Lots of good info
Absolutely, I enjoy sharing with everyone. Thanks for watching ⚡️🤩
Killer talk and break down👊👊 I spray the wd40 on a nice paint brush and paint it on. Works great. ✌️✌️✌️
Thanks brotha, yeah man that paint brush sounds like a good way of doing it!
@@thunderrc Yup and just leave it to sock in it. I do it after just about ever bash or cleaning session 👊
Awesome man! Yeah Speed Syko is the man when it comes to Xmaxx mods! The dude is an awesome basher and knows a ton!
Always Good.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hi, it's hard to compare the two machines, they don't really look alike. I have both, and I enjoy both with one and the other. thank you for your feedback. I like the Xmaxx, I like the 8S outcast.
Thank you , yes both trucks are really different but truly are a blast to own and drive!
That's a great sweet spot for the Xmaxx and street bashing!🤩🤩⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
Thanks for the reviews...bro
Thank you brotha, more to come soon!
What batteries are you typically using on these cars, and what are your average runtimes? Thanks!
I used a variety of batteries. Some cheap eBay specials because I bash so hard. Youme batteries and zee batteries with a 60 c rating or higher. About 5200 millamps. On average the runtime is about 15 minutes due to my extreme bashing.
Im ready for a version 2 xmaxx all day. Or a wide kit rollar. 😍💪💪💪☝🙌
Much needed info. I'm leaning towards the exb but the X Maxx is tough 🤔
Thanks brotha! 🚀🥇🔥⚡️
Will have my exb soon can't wait and just but them stub axles bas ones on taking out soon
Awesome brotha! You are gonna have a blast! The EXB is a straight animal man! 😱⚡️
@@thunderrc can not wait
I did the wd40 trick and I haven't had a break since my first tiny jump cracking my front right.
Yes indeed it works wonders 🔥🤩🔥🚀⚡🔥
I will be complete honest with you, it was a real good video how you think about your trucks. Thank rc lords the thoughts and liking are different between us people
Thumbs up 🥰🥰 ( yes i do own both, and i agree on a lot of parts, but far from 100% ❤)
Thank you my bro! Appreciate you man🚀⚡🔥🔥🤩Love both trucks and try to fix all the issues with them both. That is my goal 👍⚡
I took your advice and my Kraton is being delivered tomorrow. Since it's my first RC I went with the regular 6s V5 model. I saw you mention something about the WD-40..... Should have finished watching the video 😂🤣
Awesome man! Your gonna love that Kraton dude! The 6s rigs are dope!
@@thunderrc Oh man today was awesome ripping that thing around in big parking lot. When I unboxed it one of the front tires was way different in tow and camber. I adjusted the turnbuckle but didn't really fix it. Still loads of fun.
What are some must-have upgrades for the Outcast?
Heck yeah brotha! Could you imagine how sick that would be!🔥😱😱🚀👍⚡
What electronics should I get for the Outcast 8s roller? Just looking for suggestions.
Whenever you're launching 1/5 scale rigs 40 to 50 to 60 ft in the air you're going to have issues if you land bad and things are going to break that's just the expectation anybody who's going like this could have,
I've been using standard WD-40 on the arms and the silicone stuff on the bearings but I got to try that penetrant stuff that you mentioned see if that helps out a bit and you're absolutely going to love the new m2c motor mount and rail system for the ESC I've been testing it and I got a video I'm dropping in about two days at beat the heck out of that thing and that Mash does not move so I think it's going to be a solution you're going to love. again awesome video see around brother
@@thunderrc thanks bro hell yeah that's what I'm gonna do. M2C over the winter time for sure 👍.
Awesome vid... guess I have to try the wd40 now... I was waiting for a trustworthy recommendation on that... otherwise rpm arms solve the glass arms that come with the truck... no more breaking anything... but I don't have a death ramp!
Yes the WD40 trick truly works wonders 🤩⚡️⚡️👍 Yeah that Death Ramp can kill some trucks let me tell ya 🤣🤣🔥🤩⚡️⚡️
Heck yeah bro, the Kraton 8s EXB is an awesome truck! I couldn't agree more ⚡️🤩
Thanks for the insight 👍
🚀⚡⚡💯Thanks!
What jeep body is that? I've been looking for a different outcast 8s body for a while now. I'd love to get my hands on a Chevy c10 model.
very good opinion my friend ..
Awesome video like always
Thank you so much ⚡🤩⚡🚀🔥⚡
Brilliant break down of these two beasts brotha! 💪 Xmaxx in stock form would probably be fine for my level of bashing. But Arrma are killing it with their EXB range. I think Talion will be my next rig. Awesome video Thunder, thank you for taking the time to produce an honest review from someone who knows 😀 👍💯⚡
Thanks my bro! Yeah man I am glad that I can share my tips and experiences with everyone. Dude you are going to love that Talion! The thing rips!!!!
Does the WD-40 just make the plastic more flexible/less brittle?
Dude where did u get the Kool jeep body for the outcast ? Great comparison brother. You know the Xmaxx in ans out.
Thanks bro! I got it from Amain Hobbies. ⚡️⚡️🏆🏆🤩🔥
@@thunderrc ok Kool. Thanks thunder your the man. 👍👊
Every body’s experience is different depending on how we drive them 😎👍🏻🇬🇧
I have both and I don't care about the high jumps, so I think Xmaxx is more fun because it handles rough terrain unlike the outcast that drives like a plate, bumping around and cant absorb terrain like a monster truck.
😋
Good video, I agree with your situation. And that outcast is an awesome truggy:)
Very good points👍 I truly appreciate your feedback and watching the videos. 💯🏆⚡️⚡️🏆🚀🔥🔥
Hey you said them stub axles work good how about after you've had them for a while you still like them the bass ones
Yessi my bro, I still those those stub axles. They are working great!👍⚡🔥🔥
Have the rtr outcast but I do not bash it hard so I don't have to fix it much, would buy a x maxx if it had a new motor and esc
Yes I agree, the Xmaxx need to come with a better motor and esc 👍⚡🔥
Wow! excellent review bro!! you said everything correctly!! Very well said!! What motor/ESC/all electronics do you have in that Outcast?
Thanks my brotha, I have the Hobbywing Max 5 ESC paired with a Spektrum Firma 1100 KV brushless motor and a JX HD Servo. Running a 31/47 gearing.
@@thunderrc thanks!!! If I were to get one I'd still go for the Xmaxx Since I've never wanted anything more since I've started getting into the hobby in 2016.
Awesome job brother 👏 👍
Thank you bro🔥🚀🔥⚡⚡
Right on man. You the evil kaneival of rc. Great info
Thank you brotha! I try my best.
I so agree. An 12s xmaxx wide body would be an ass stomper but not my k8 though
Yes that would be super cool right!? Yeah man the Kraton 8s in King!
Love the review you have done on outcast vs xmaxx.
Could you give indepth review on between kraton 1/5 8s exb as I'm considering get one and the x maxx which I already have.
Love your honesty and how you explain stuff.
Massive thumbs up to you👍
Keepin’ it real! 👊
I try my best, thanks brotha!
Where you get the jeep body from that you have on the outcast
Thunder ⚡️wobble shaft is the key! 😂
say what 4s battiers do ya like running in those? Thankyou for your time and any suggestions
Hey so I run the Yoowoos 6500 milliamps 100c lipos. You can get them on ebay and the are awesome!
did you mean the Youme lipos? i ran a set of those, but didnt have them latched in. they fell out scrapped the pavement an now one has a chemical smell to it. im gona salt water bath em an throw away
Nice vids dude, you live in florida?
Thanks bro! Texas
We’re do I get that body
I boil my A arms and they becoming a lot more flexible. The wd40 is a chemical product. I feel its just a placebo effect than anything else. Maybe it works but i believe boiling the A arms is an immediate upgrade than waiting god how long for wd 40 to modifie the plastic
Wow that sounds like an awesome method there! I just might have to try that!🔥🤩🤩🚀💥⚡
I run my heavy hitters in training mode....they'll last forever 😂😂😂😂😂...I have a rc that's 1989 that still runs.....its how I take care of my RC'S.........Im 47 yrs old, just got back into the hobby 2 yrs ago and over $6k in RC's and tools......I just can't break my stuff and smile abt it but I can guarantee ya mine will run anytime, anywhere...
Nice video! 😀
Thank you brotha!⚡⚡🔥⚡🚀
Arrma❤️❤️
He is a gnarly brah
Thanks bro!
Arrma all day not even a question
God of thunder preachin, Hallelujah!
Thank you brotha! I try to deliver the best and the truth 👍🤩⚡
nothing change in the xmaxx i got the v2 2021 model about 2 months ago.
Yeah man I love the Xmaxx to death but it would be nice to see some revision soon!
Gpm upper rear a arm upgrade check it out
I don’t even own them and it’s Arrma all day long their cheaper and stronger. Traxxas just has the parts availability game covered better.
Thanks brotha Bubbles, yea man those Arrmas are just amazing!
XMAXX
X-maxx or outcast?
For me it is the Outcast 8s EXB all day.👍⚡⚡⚡
8S is NOT for bashing! Ok, I just want to add my 2 cents... (and start a debate maybe?) Is everyone freaking power crazy??? 8s is just ridiculous to me for daily bashing... waaay less fun... (unless you're from planet Duperbash where the laws of gravity are suspeneded 🤣)
I run the outcast with the 39 tooth spur and 4x 8000mah 100C 6s packs (2p 2s)... that's 1600 mah 6s and IT FLIES!!
Like the 16th Dalai Lama said, "More volts doesn't always mean more thunder!" (JK)
Increase the gearing a touch and drop to 6s.(4s for1/8 scale), and from the spectator perspective, you will have the EXACT SAME TRUCk!!!
So the Outcast is more of a hobbies car with all the mods you can do and the XMaxx is a fun toy….
Yes exactly 👍⚡️
Got some bias confirm here today 👍
👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍
Big thanks🧨🧨⚡️⚡️⚡️💣
My xmaxx been nothing but problems every half a pack. I haven't reach a single lvc without a diff blowing or a random gear stripping. I own the o8s and the k8s and wasn't an arrma fan boy till I bought the xmaxx. The biggest over hype 💩 rc out there. And you can only take a bolt out ones or twice before the threads are done
It's like Traxxas watched this video and made the xrt . IJS
Getting boring watching you keep jumping it that ramp . It’s like Groundhog Day every video sorry dude need to do different things
@@thunderrc put your dummy back in son 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅😅😅.. terrible attitude by the way
Don’t know what your problem is man. Take your negativity elsewhere. I just enjoy life, I don’t live for this RUclips stuff. 😂
