Chinese rubbers similar to H3 (no tensor)
1. Friendship Battle 2 National or Provincial
2. Yinhe Jupiter 3 Tour
3. Sanwei Target National
4. Yinhe Big Dipper
5. Yinhe Jupiter 3 Asia
European or japanese rubbers (hybrid - tensor sponge)
1. Victas Triple Double Extra
2. Yasaka Rakza Z Extra Hard
3. Xiom Omega 7 China Guang
4. Tibhar Hybrid K3
5. Butterfly Dignics 09c
6. Nittaku Sieger PK50
Yeah, I have used target National. I liked the spin. In terms of Speedo, I had to boost a Lot.
Find yourself a Haifu Blue Whale. It doesn't last as long, maybe 65% of the longevity. But, it's like a H3 National Blue Sponge for considerably less.
@@Mobile-km1qi I find block is slow, spin is moderate in Target National. Great for flat hit, control and return. Looping is not great, passable I am afraid. Going to try Battle II soon.
How God is Yinhe Big dipper Do we need to boost it
I play Friendship 729 Origin Soft on forehand. Which actually doesn't mean not soft. It is custom-made. It has the same sponge, just better quality. The rubber has very good control and produces good spin. Catapult is rather mediocre and plays more linearly. Active and passive blocking is very pleasant. What's interesting is that passive blocking really slows things down. This covering is suitable for table use. Of course you can also play it half distance. There's a bit of power missing.
I've used H3 bluesponge National, H3 commercial, Yinhe M Star, and 729 Battle Max Pro. I have a conclusion that the closest alternative to H3 bluesponge is Yinhe M Star base on its speed, spin, and tackiness. 729 Battle pro max is little bit less tacky but still have similar amount of spin to H3 blue.
I've played h3 blue sponge for quiet some time. And is actually trying the 09c to compare with the H3. The feeling and control of H3 is undoubtly far beyond 09c. The slow and spinny bal that you can produce with H3 is something out of the range of 09C as the tensor will always kick in. The hardness of 09c is comparable to a H3 heavily boosted. 09C is in H3 standard a soft rubber. To make the change from H3 to 09C it really is confusing as the power i'm used to is gone. Playing with 09c is takes less effort, but adopting another technique of hitting the ball is required. As you have to learn to deal with the springe sponge. End power of 09c is flatten out quickly, hower most of the time enough to win the point.
Almost all cnt players boost their rubbers quite heavily, almost all of them use 3 layers of Haifa booster and 3 layers of glue. So their rubber is just slow enough to retain the characteristics and fast enough to win points with quality
Yinhe Jupiter Asia III. I love this rubber, and it's cheap enough to change monthly if you wanted to.
how is the arc on Jupiter 3 (length/height) compared to h3 neo commercial 39 degrees if you remember?
@@birthright94 I think it's a little higher than h3neo. If you like h3neo, you'll love jupiter 3.
I've tried a bunch of different rubbers (D09c, baracuda, h3neo etc), but for my game, the best one was JA3.
I am still playing with a H3 national version blue sponge from 2018 still has that same bite
I have DHS Hurricane Neo 3 rubber on both FH and BH. It took me almost 3 years to adjust! Still I'm not perfect! Once a player adjusts for this rubber, then boom 🚀 Nobody can stop!!!
My favorite is Yasaka Rakza Z
do we have to boost the H3 rubber? if yes, than I do not like it.
Dear Emrathich !
Thank you for your good piece of advice. But the best similarity with H3 blue sponge you did not
even mention: the Nittaku Hurricane Pro III Turbo Orange ! Please read my comment in revspin under
the name "zimike " .You can not tell this from the H3 blue sponge in a blind test.Mima Ito tried this rubber
but it was a too big challenge for her too and she skipped this rubber in the end .It is hard to get used to this rubber.
This rubber is very close to the original national Hurrican 3 with bluesponge ! .It is a dream rubber on my Photino blade (7mm thick ZLF blade) You can do everything with this rubber if you give yourself enough time. I've been playing with this rubber for 5 years.
I saw somewhere, it said this Nittaku is the same H3 made for Japan. A bit of politic, I say.
@gorogimre2 and @Emratich I am very curious about a good alternative or even real chinese rubber for the BH!. I was looking over the whole internet on this topic but didn't find much on it. Is the orange one from Nittaku III turbo suited also (or just) for BH? My list so far looks like this:
1. H3 neo provincial 37' orange sponge
2. Nittaku Hurricane Pro III Turbo Orange
3. H 8-80
4. Dignics 09c
5. Rakza-Z
6. H 3-50
7. Friendship 729 Battle II
Which one is more suited for BH and what are the pros and cons? I just got H3 neo provincial 41 boosted on FH and come from playing ESN Rubbers on both sides (Hammond Z2). I try to get spin&control but in the same time not to lose a lot of speed. On the FH i can get used to the more demanding weight transfer to generate it, but what about on BH? Thanks!
On some Blades i have replaced H3 Neo Commerial with Victas Tripple Double Extra. For me it's an faster alternative to H3.
Congrat for your job.
Unfortunatly this 3 alternatives are far more expensives... As french (penhold) player, where can I purchase DHS rubber (no fake) in differents hardness, etc ? Thanks!
Just buy a yasaka Rakza Z. I did and never looked back!
@@ikaros21 I should try. Thanks.
D9c is quite different from H3. I dont think it is the right replacement.
i agree 100%.
Actually, he is talking about the National Blue Sponge. When boosted with the correct National Haifu booster, it actually does play a lot like D09c. Only difference is that D09c will give you a bit more from using less effort and the H3 National Blue Sponge boosted will give you more spin at the top end.
Now, if you compared any other version of the H3 to D09c, then yes, you would be correct in saying they are quite different. However, he's specifically talking about the National Blue Sponge. And in case you don't know: The National Blue and the Provincial Blue might as well not even be considered the same rubbers. The National Blue is nothing like everything from the commercial H3 up to the Provincial Blue. It doesn't matter if you boost them properly either. The National Blue is a totally different rubber.
What do you think of the yasaka rakza z, nittaku pk50 and joola dynariz zgr ? Who is better ?
I bought sieger pk 50 and have been very happy with it
Yinhe Jupiter 3. H41 on FH & H38 on BH. Never looked back at H3.
Jupiter 3 Asia or Euro? Which blade are you using?
Those alternative rubbers are expensive,...I played H3 neo(commercia) version before, but I changed to yinhe moon pro version considering the price is too low compare to h3 neo..though it is not as tacky as the h3 neo, I consider it as a good alternative...
what about Triple double Extra from victas?
Did you tested Victas Triple Double Extra, I think this is the best...
would you recommend commercial dhs hurricane 3 for a beginner-to-intermediate level?
it's good and friendly to beginner only in 39 degrees. If you don't like it because it's kinda slow you can get yinhe big dipper 38 (1st version) which is also controlalble but a little faster with a little bit less spin
How about friendship battle 3 for alternative sir ?
I have played with H3 national blue sponge, but it is impossible to purchase. I switched to 09c. It is not similar. 09c is much faster, and has an even higher arc. The closest might be Yazaka Rakza Z Extra Hard. It is however too slow.
I prefer Stiga Dragon Grip now, it is adequately fast, has an ok arc and you can also flat hit with it.
Did you tested Victas Triple Double Extra, I think this is the best...
Forggot that it exists!
Must try it@@marcosguglielmetti
Of course it is not the same. This guys always speaks rubbish in his videos
ZGR doesn't feel close to H3 at all. The sponge is hard, ok. But the sponge is also bouncy which is not the case for Chinese rubbers
729 super FX and DHS PF 40? Tacky, hard and cheap. Only USD 7 in my country
You have to generate more racket speed to get a lot of spin and these Chinese rubbers are also very heavy.
That's my main reason for not using tacky rubber on both sides. Makes my paddle much heavier.
Xiom omega 7 guang, Asia, Jeckyll & hide 47.5 and 52 degrees
I'm a casual player, and don't expect to be playing against Ma Long in the near future. I'm looking for decent rubber, at a reasonble price, that I don't have to replace every three months at $40-$60 per sheet. $10-$20 per sheet, lasting 2 years suits me. Looking to resurface previous Yasaka Mark V. Can anyone recommend a source?
Sanwei Target National or Target 3 Regular is good enough. It is cheap enough that I dont think there is any fake out there. I bought on AliExpress when on sales. And you can't go wrong with Friendship 729-5 as well, it lasts longer.
Best price for tacky rubber, friendship 729 fx blue sponge. Cost is only $ 9.99 usd. Put 2 to 3 layers of sea moon booster and you got yourself a Chinese national rubber with much more spin and control.
I actually preferred Hurricane 2 back in the day. It wasn't as tacky and I felt played more like a European rubber, albeit still a tacky and very hard one at that!
How is it cheap ? I bought my national hurricane blue sponge for 50usd in China
few people in china are using national rubbers
Friendship battle 2? Yinhe big dipper??
Fully agree. Battle 2 is the best alternative.
Hey coach. I bought a new Battle 2 and have it for about 2 weeks now. However the topsheet feels really slippery as if it's really moist (but it is not) and nothing helps to make this gobaway. The rubber is not tacky at all and topspins are very difficult
Hey , I have similar problem. I play with Hurricane 3 Neo and noticed it becomes slippery after I play a few games. I was wondering if European or Japanese rubbers play better in high humidity.
@@dimers66 It depends. Some Euro/Japan rubbers have better grip than others. What does help is having a soft topsheet which usually means more contact time. And also, people who spin a lot will struggle more than people with more flat hitting techniques. I solved the problem for my rubber. I did some ironing. Put a sheet of paper between the rubber and the iron, heat it but don't melt the rubber so be careful. Also, after each match put a plastic sheet on the rubber if you didn't already. Hope this helps
@@blueheart9873 are you saying flat hitting with Battle 2 is difficult?
I read somewhere, 'glide' or 'slippy' effect seems to be common reported by players using chinese sticky rubber. I have encountered this many times as well, still have no clue how it could happen. Even when I read the ball well.
Anyone know the reason?
Wash your ball
why player massages tebletennis rubber
What about Nittaku Sieger pk50 ?
Too heavy
@@Chemgio-dinhcao how? it's 2.0mm and weighs around 50g on my 157x150 blade
i thought somethin like 729 Battle 😅
I prefer omega 7 China guang over dynaryz
60g cut, lol
The odd part is that the new hurricane 3 neos are nowhere as tacky as the old hurricane 2. You should have mentioned that too.
Palio HK1997 Gold (If the quality was better this would be the best rubber).
Dhs hurricane 3 commercial or dhs skyline 2 or 3
Donic Bluegrip C1 and C2
Problema subtítulos spanish?
I will add
Absolutely Tibhar MX-D.
MX-S comes closer
hybrid k3
Why alternative? Hurricane 3 is the best and it only cost $20, in contrast to 80eur for Dignics 09c. I'v played for a year with Dignics09c, but then returned to H3
where do you find it for 20? Blue sponge cost 80 or so
Agreed the national blue sponge is actually very expensive
@@JointyTv I am talking about good old plain orange H3, which cost $20. For my playing style and level that rubber is far better then Dignics09c
Never tried it. Maybe i should test it.@@fajter00
and you boost it or not?
dude, how professional can you be if you play with the same rubber for 2 years? u either don't hit hard enough, don't play enough, or just aren't good enough to tell the difference!
Thinking the same thing....I train 5-6 days a week and buy new rubber every 2-3 months...
that was a red flag for me as well. there is also a considerable amount of bs in these videos. Advantages: speed???? They are not just slower, they are straight up slow! Pro players boost them with 3 layers of booster, and many of them use much more extreme boosters than falco long. They long last for amateurs, but pro players change them every week. The provincial ones cost the same as esn rubbers (depending where you live) and the national ones cost the same as dignics or even more. Many people prefer tensor rubbers because they don’t want to mess with boosting, which often may result in bubbling (topsheet coming off the sponge).
The weight was the biggest issue for me the crap weighs a ton...@@ajtatosmano2
agreed - but i think what he meant to say is the TOP speed is not limited by the rubber as much. The rubber itself is much less bouncey/ fast at normal speeds. Maybe it's his communication issue, I do think he's quite experienced in equipment stuff, but some things are off for sure, like playing a rubber for 2 years... wth? @@ajtatosmano2
@@table_tennis_fever No, he showed that with the graph. But it's simply a myth. In the past it was true, because european rubbers were much softer. Nowadays even on the backhand side most people use 50 degree rubbers. Ofc, if you look at CNT player's rackets, they are boosted so heavily that it seems like the rubber wants to jump off the blade...The reason why CNT is using the chinese rubbers is because with boosting it grabs the ball really well in the high speed topspin to topspin rallies, giving it high stability. Players use the D09c for the exact same reason, except it's more familiar to them. And spin is generally speaking is higher on chinese rubbers.
This sport is full of myths because the feeling is highly personal. Also, just by looking at things yo can get many things wrong. For example many people say how spinny was Waldner's game and that's why he was so great. Turns out, as Timo Boll said in an interview that it's really hard to play against Waldner because his loops are so empty that he returned them into the net. It's not like he couldn't spin the ball, but heused it much like Möregardh uses his BH punch.
Donic Bluegrip series
Donic bluestar A1 the best now
Sorry but these are bad recommendations as all these rubbers have a high throwing angle and that of Hurricane 3 is very low. The Dignics 09c is an attempt to make the Chinese rubbers playable for the European market, but the swan would be made a little more sluggish and the throwing angle would be adjusted to that of a 05 and the topshet would be made slightly sticky. so that the European player (Timo Boll) can still play with this rubber. The other alternatives presented in the video are just copies of the Dignics 09c. However, Hurricane 3 has a completely different sponge and topshet than Dignics, making him much more controllable. A hybrid is not Chinese rubber. Hurricane 3 commercially is half as expensive as other supposedly European alternatives.
First of all, it's a shame that you don't use natural voice for your videos any more.
And about rubbers, I would add this rubber in your list: Yasaka Rakza Z.
Noted!
What about Dignics 80?
Expensive shit
No
how about K3?
I have it, moving from Rakza Z. Doesn't feel tacky to me and seems like any other European rubber to me.
There is no replacement of hurricane 3 national blue sponge it's unique by itself
Rakza Z EH
Tibhar k3 is much better replacement
Did you tested Victas Triple Double Extra, I think this is the best...
The weight of each of these alternatives is higher.
weight matters? lol
Rakza Z
8:37 middle finger lol
Battle 2, joola tango
Palio the way blue sponge
My fav is hurricane 3 neo. Hahaaha
For us normies, do yourself a favor and make the switch from H3 to Rakza Z, You can thank me later!
Dignic ? Ransant ? No way its near.
samba + Samba Thec
Rakza Z
Not really
I chose the Extra Hard version as a replacement for Dignics09c, the felling is almost the same and the price is halved. Can't pronounce in comparison with DHS as I never tried one.
Bingo!
