Gran Turismo historically has always had better visuals and details than Forza Motorsport, while Forza Motorsport is more dramatic.
u good? gt5-6 exist so forza 3-5
@@Sonic_the_jez191Forza Motorsport 3 never had better visuals.
Its rival was GT5 Prologue and that game still looks photorealistic.
Now GT5 and FM4 are different. But FM4 is still at a disadvantage because it lacks fundamental mechanics which make a simulator what it is.
Besides, cars in Gran Turismo Always looked better and more detailed. In Forza Motorsport they always look like hot wheels models, for a short time they managed to let them look like realistic cars (from Forza Motorsport 4 to Forza Motorsport 7) but it was never enough to beat Gran Turismo.
Now in Forza Motorsport 8 the cars look Overall better but the details are still so 7th Gen.
At least they're working to make the game competitive to GT7 which really should be honored.
Who knows Xbox players may have a Simulator on a Gran Turismo level one day with proper physics, graphics, details, sounds and overall content and mechanics.
And stop comparing Gran Turismo 6 to Forza Motorsport 5, that's unfair...
to Forza Motorsport.
At least physics, detail and content wise.
Gran Turismo has better car graphics, and Forza has better physics, track graphics, visual effects and gameplay.
@@DiegoPalhocaSCI can't believe you said that Forza has better physics, everyone knows that Gran Turismo has physics that are more simulator-like than the serie Motorsport.
Forza is not a simulation. It’ll never be as good as gt7 in any aspect.
Keep your crew 2 graphics over there
Liked that Dunlop lights at Le Mans in GT7. My eyes react to that.
Forza has definitely improved graphics. Still not on GT7 level but it is pleasing. There are still issues like some cars still have that wheel morphing thing going on but it's far less. And for some reason the 2009 ZR1 Vette in Forza the wheels look so dull like they have been sand down. They don't shine as they do in real life. One thing that bothers me about Forza is the replays. For me the scenery as the cars go flying by it hurts my eyes it bothers me. The motion blur is too much. Replays in GT7 are smooth and easy on the eyes. I still think the black levels in Forza are a bit too elevated. They also updated a few car sounds, albeit while they sound better it's still off. The GT500 in Forza sound horrible. One thing I love about Forza though is there selection of cars, GT7 can't compete. Also the fact Forza has more engine modifications like centrifugal blowers, ignition upgrades, oil pumps, and fan cooling. One thing that is so awesome about GT7 is when you upgrade the exhaust system it physically changes on your car. If the stock exhaust is a single outlet, you put on a sport exhaust and it may get bigger. Semi race exhaust may change the exhaust tip color or give dual exhaust. Race exhaust depending on the vehicle may relocate the exhaust exit all together. Like in the old race mustang in GT7 the stock exhaust exit from the rear. But by the time you put a race exhaust on it, it will move the exhaust exit from under the side of the car and that is awesome! You don't get that in Forza.
So many visuals improvement patches since launch and GT7 is still leagues ahead 😂😂
To be fair, even an ultra modded Assetto Corsa or ultra setting on ACC had no match agains GT7. It's just the attention to detail PD put in GT7 that's above everyone.. that's made in Japan for you. Though I am excited for Assetto Corsa Evo.
@@Alp577hold on now, have you actually seen modded AC graphics? it 100% is equal to competition towards GT7. which means ACE might just be slightly better than GT7 with standard graphics
Go see an optometrist
@@GoatedAtNFS i do. Been modding it since 2014. Now with reshade, SOL, and a bunch of other mods, it is night and day. I’m also using a 4090. It is great don’t get me wrong, but the attention to detail of GT7 is very hard to beat. Also, AC’s graphics engine is quite dated, the modding community has pretty much max out its capability., that’s why I’m looking forward to what ACE can do.
I am laughing my ass off whom says GT7 looks better 😂😂😂
GT7 look like photorealistic. Forza look very good graphics but like old gen with high resolution and textures..
for me, GT7 looks Realistic and Forza Looks Dramatic
Funny since GT7 is technically the old gen game 😂
@@andrededecrafdramatic ain't much when there's Driveclub, NFS and GRiD Legends to beat for "dramatic" graphics.
They all have their own style but in terms of being dramatic they do it better with more polish.
One thing I think people have to remember when comparing both games is that while FM was made with ONLY the 'next-gen' in mind (back then the current-gen SeriesX), GT7 was made with cross-gen in mind (PS4 & PS5). In other words, FM on the SeriesX has a built-in advantage in that the FM developers get to apply those technological advantages throughout all aspects of the game during development whereas doing anything similar during the development of GT7 would be close to impossible due to the simple fact that the PS4 doesn't support some of the feature sets found in the current-gen architecture & graphical feature set. So again, only developing for current-gen hardware gives FM a "leg up," so to speak.
With all of that considered, the fact that GT7 can even compete, and in some instances equal and or surpass FM, shows us how talented certain devs can be, even if they happen to be working with less/older tech.
Sounds like GT7 shouldn't have been cross gen.
@@BeautyBeastRC shoulda' coulda' woulda' it doesn't matter. The fact is GT7 is a cross-gen game and its developers had to take that fact into account while developing for it... unlike FM8.
@@sofaking1180 you're making my point for me. No one cares about the excuses so shoulda coulda woulda is perfect! 😎
Edit all cameras in GT7 and enjoy
One thing missing from forza that makes gt7 look so good is the glints coming off the car from the sun
Forza looks beautiful but Gran Turismo looks realistic, and somehow that's not the same thing
I've always preferred the static third person camera in Gran Turismo games over the camera in other racing games. It may not look as dramatic or flashy but it's easier to see your precise place on the road and anticipate your next move which leads to faster lap times. I remember Midnight Club LA had the option for a static chase cam and I always chose that over the action chase cam
The only negative thing in GT7, is no possibility to tune /set up engine or eletric motor and gear ratio for eletric car...
Even with Sunset Peninsula track, GT7 still far superior overall than FM2023.
Gran Turismo 7 looks like an actual next generation game.

@@Johnmarston1. And another thing, the reflections of the sun in GT7 are exaggerated, but when there is rain there are no reflections of the lights or the cars, does that seem realistic to you?
I wish Forza got rid of the water droplets on the screen. They looked cool 10 years ago but now they make the game look dated
GT camera is to stiff game feels boring.

But I need to admit that Forza Motorsport has great interior rain effects similar to Gran Turismo 5 (2010)
Forza put a lot of emphasis on controller and it already was since the beginning of forza so thats what make forza physics great tbh.
At least it doesnt pretend to be a simulator.

The only thing I wish forza had is the same hood view from gt7, you can see more in front of you, I guess the FOV is better in gt7
@@eddi3401 its funny you say that, the hood view in gt7 is actually roof view and thats what drives me crazy, i wish gt7 would have actual proper hood view like forza or literally any other racing game has. None of them have that damn roof view for a good reason.

What a weird edit.
What was your point?
But basically I like your review.
Just don't expect a hardcore Simulator if you decide for Forza Motorsport.
@@DustinsCarFamily Yeah. Sometimes I don't really think when I edit. About the sim thing, I'm more of a casual who enjoys a lot of circuit racing if it's not overly difficult.

There is no comparison between them, the GT7 is far superior.
3:07 even my 120bhp car wheel spins and smokes more from standstill, good on Forza for also getting that right for a car like Ferrari
You dont see smoke with all wheel spins
My 400whp 405tq FWD Type R doesn't even smoke tires when I take off.
Most of the people who complain and say GT7 doesn't spin tires, is because they mostly use slicks in the game. Cars DEFINITELY lose grip in GT7 and can spin from a standstill.
@@joescivic yes but in GT7 there is a lack of smoke from tyres probably because it will stutter the frame rate. Forza does it nicely and it's pronounced without being too much
@@Mr.Kumar1 Tires don't smoke immediately when taking off. You have to build that up. Forza does a fake exaggerated implementation, just like it exaggerates many things.
And just like real life, in GT7, you build that smoke up.
GT7
Forza looks more "reflectish" the cars and road and environment. GT7 doesnt feel that alive. But i like GT7 replay cameras and detail to tail lights flashing

Incredible how GT7 (2022) still looks way more polished than FM8 (2023).Im a Motorsport fan and player and i have decide to stick with FM7, cuz FM8 still feels... incomplete (in terms of Career mode contents, multiplayer game modes/lobbys and Tracks). Good to see that Turn 10 Studios are updating the game from time to time.
Forza looks like its black level is stuck on high and less sharpness.
Now the hud is a whole new level of foul imo
The Hud is generic but it works. If i want a HUD I use a seperate app to link up gas and speedo to a tablet that I have. Frees up screen realestate. The game itself is better when using Raytracing effects, irs just dont run it at 1080p with full RT on a 4k screen, gets too noisy
As a Forza Motorsport player, I simply want to play GT7 for the variety of tracks, cars, graphics and clean racing that there is, FM feels like arcade racing and with unjustified penalties.
Forza will only improve over the months and years with updates
The current Motorsport feels like a track DLC for a F Horizon game.
@@raulcorrea3866 Yeah I saw the track list was very thin at the release, as a GT player, Gran Turismo Sport also didn't have a bunch of tracks since it was a completely new game engine unlike Gran Turismo 6..
@UzumakiNagato That's what I like about GT, the quality of the tracks and they are as similar as possible to real life ones, I mean, in FM they added lights to circuits where there shouldn't be any, like in Nürburgring Nordschleife or Circuit de la Sarthe, it not only ruins the gaming experience, also the realism of the game 🙁
@@BillyProGamer31 Yeah I see what you mean, but GT7 lacks of city tracks, we only have Tokyo expressways which isn't in the city streets like R246 in previous GTs

Graphics and Filter in Forza, looks dramatic and cinematic, GT7 has Realistic graphics, but both looks good
@@andrededecrafgt7 has no rain😂
Gt7 has no rain but wet road😂😂😂
@@abuelb Realistic rain is just that in games, you see raindrops on your screen and so much reflections is a sign of Dramatic Rain and not realistic, Forza has been known for its dramatic visuals since FM3, so much so that FM6's system was simply strange to most people at first, as they added more realistic and not dramatic rain, like in Forza Horizon 2
Forza Motorsport 6 brought a rain that was very different from what was expected, you hardly see any drops of water other than the effects on the screen and it had a decent system of placing puddles in the right places, It still has a certain dramatic look, but it's quite different from other Forza's, Hence Forza Motorsport 7 brought a much more dramatic rain, with raindrops always appearing, exaggeratedly reflective floors and lightning on some tracks
@@andrededecraf and yet gt7 has barely any rain at all. Thats a sign of bad design. No tire smoke at the line either and no dirt accumulation on cars. So much for simulation. Gt7 Arcade at best.😂
Forza looks and plays better the graphics have improved with every update
Gran Turismo has better car graphics and details, while Forza has better track graphics, physics, sense of speed, and gameplay. Forza is a generation ahead.
"Forza" and "better physics than gt7" shouldnt be ever used in a same sentence...
Only "better" (which is opinion) track graphics, would be the 3D trees in Forza. Everything else is basically the same, graphic wise. FM adds extra trees all over the track that aren't there in real life. They also add extra light poles that don't exist there in real life. GT7 also has far more grass density. The grass blows in the wind, and also blows as each car passes by. The asphalt details or textures are also higher in GT7. FM asphalt often looks muddy or smooth. When you couple that with the smooth looking grass, it looks like FM just has flat surfaces.
GT7 has sense of speed. Stop playing chase cam like a typical controller player. The gameplay? Your OPINION. But the gameplay is still there in GT7 with more to do still.
The physics feel much better rhan GT7, ive played both @@Sneffe
@recon1673 I have also played both, FM physics are laughably unrealistic
Lol, then your test in graphics and physics is that of a 5 years old 😂
Man Forza just looks or feels better, GT7 just is boring
For an arcade maybe, but trying to play an online race with a steering is an horrendoues experience in forza
@@jesusserrano8769Most of these people play on controller and have no idea what the physics are actually like in GT7.
As far as looks. Some people prefer a cartoon world with plastic cars. GT7 is very photo realistic and cars just have all the extra details. The tracks in GT7 are more authentic and not filled with extra trees all over the place or extra light poles that don't exist on the track like FM does. Asphalt textures are higher in GT7, and grass density is far greater in GT7 as well. FM looks like the surface is super smooth with the little 3D grass it has and how it just blends with the flat surface, just making it harder to see anyways. Then the softer, muddy textured asphalt in FM coupled with the smooth looking grass, making the game just look like it has a very smooth surface with no depth.
I can go on and on and talk about the differences. Some people are blind to it, or just prefer cartoon looking things
@@joescivic Again fair point people do like the cartoony look as they want to play a game not a photographic simulator which still isn't perfect, i.e GT7.
@@joescivic Forza is also improving drastically maybe not at a geometric rate but its having non linear type updates which change the game for the better each pass
@@Mr.Kumar1 It's not a "photographic simulator." Everything i mentioned is in-game and looks photo realistic as you play. So what makes a cartoon style graphics better than photo realism?
And what we mean by "photo realistic " is that the game looks like it came from a real life photo. Not a photomode taking photographs. The graphics themselves can be mistaken for realism.
So people choosing cartoony over realism and saying it is better, is just wierd. It's only an opinion anyways. What people like as better is not a fact. So 🤷♂️
