- Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is finally here, and between an inconsequential story, uneven dialogue, repetitive activities, lackluster enemy variety and various other issues, it manages to be aggressively mediocre. The cast turns in solid performances, and the cutscenes are well-animated, even as the story goes off the rails.
There's even some fun loot to earn, and once you get the hang of the traversal, the gameplay isn't half-bad. However, those expecting a well-rounded story with a satisfying conclusion - or smooth segue into post-launch seasons - will be disappointed. Those hoping for a hefty endgame with fresh, fulfilling activities will also be left wanting.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn't the worst game ever made, but it's a massive step down for Rocksteady and a reminder, once again, of the perils of live service.
DC’s obsession with Harley Quinn has ruined their brand so many damn times, that not even Mark Hamill’s Joker could deliver a punchline.

This game is not worth the price at all. All these idiot comments saying I'm having fun for $100 are driving the quality of gaming down the gutter. Games like Ghost of Tsushima and God of War were cheaper than this game at launch.

I spent 80 bucks on marvels avengers back when it was available during the summer of 2020 before launch. The deluxe edition of marvels avengers was 10× better than this crap of suicide squad kill the justice league
I've learned over the years that's why these gaming companies do what they do? Gamers are some of the worst in the world that can be easily manipulated into buying any type of game ever made! These games could have only 1 hour of gameplay and you've got so called "gamer's" that will state it's the best game of that so called year? That is why these corrupt gaming developers/publishers keep releasing online only related content because once it's made what 💰 it can they cancel so that it can never be played again.

I really feel like with some careful consideration of how to scale his abilities, a great Superman game is possible now.
Make it so he has to fly above buildings to go at full speed safely, think of some way to have enemies that can challenge him in combat (like some new form of Kyrptonite that reduces his strength so you have to increase it over the game) and maybe build the game around saving people with satisfying spectacle over constant fights.
Bingo. We have waited years for that. And they literally Pissed on it. SMH 🤦

My biggest issue is that the logic behind how these guys manage to kill the Justice League is lame. I mean why have a game centered around killing the league when you don't even put much effort into making the concept seem believable?

No. Those days are long gone. Have fun with brain dead looter shooters, insufferable characters who never shut up, ham fisted messaging, "live service," microtransactions, and eventually not being allowed to even own what you buy. With the exception of Red Dead Redemption, gaming hasn't been about making great fun games since 2016.

It makes a nonsense of Batman going to ALL THAT TROUBLE in his last game, sacrificing SO MUCH to fake his own death and go off to be alone. We’re meant to accept he just decided to join the Justice League after ALL THAT and said, “Meh.” . . . ? ? ? WTF!!!???
Great acting and pretty good graphics don’t make up for a dreadfully mid game of a type that no one wanted. And the utter disrespect they show these (BELOVED) characters is just unfathomable! Confusing! Dumb! WHO thought pissing on Flash’s corpse and saluting the penis that did it was a, “good idea!?” And the less said about the abuse of Kevin Conroy’s talents and legacy with such an ignominious end, the better.
You really can't have a studio used to making 1p games make multiplayer games. It's against their design ethos.
You really gotta appreciate how creative they were with the justice league members deaths, flash gets killed by a couple of bullets, green lantern gets killed with a bullet wound, bat,an dies with a bullet to the head, superman dies from a couple of bullets (Kryptonite or not it was crap)
Moral of the story is if u wanna make a great super hero/villian game to never turn it into a live service game... They should always be story driven, not based around online gaming... It's as if developers don't learn from others mistakes cause these type of games never work

Me and the wife played it. She started it and I’d avoided it despite it being free for weeks, due to the bad reviews. Actually ended up really enjoying it. Got a little grindy at the end, but was overall enjoyable, and I’m pretty picky with what I start.
This is how Rocksteady died .
Honestly, if JL went bad, why get 3 out of 4 people with NO powers...

Biggest disappointment of the decade for me, huge DC fan and bigger Batman fan. Rocksteady used to be one of my favorite devs and they made a damn looter shooter.
I have a huge feeling WB made them do it. That's why some core Rocksteady devs left the studio long before the game launched, I guess they simply knew what was afoot and the game will suck. So I'm not blaming developers, I'm blaming WB.
Same. They messed up so bad. Could have made a Batman saves league game, Brainiac still gets heroes brainwashed and we play as Batman using his contingency plan to stop each hero and then in 3rd act we play as some of other JL members.

Deadshot is somewhat of a marksman.. but other than that they could've switched them out for characters that are well-trained like deadstroke for example. Though also in this so called "game" they went and stole batman's tech anyhow.. it would've made for a much better game then what we got.

Harley had a pretty good hand to hand combat sequence in her dlc back in Arkham knight. Hell didn't she face nightwing in that dlc? So saying this version of Harley is bad at h2h is false. They could have incorporated melee in this, would have made it much better imo.

Better than Avengers? I've played both and by no means was Avengers a great game but what it got right was the heroes. When you played Thor you played a lot different than if you were Black Widow or Ironman or Cap. Ontop of that Avengers even had team up takedowns since you know its a coop game? Suicide Squad has none of this. Besides their traversal styles all 4 of them play pretty identical. Shoot shoot, and shoot some more.
Just by watching this.. I feel like I've done it all already.

Gotham Knights all over again. WB needs to ditch the live service BS entirely.
The models look phenomenal, the navigation is pretty good, but the city IS NOT Metropolis, the story is badly written, the boss fights are absolute dog shit, the way they handled the death of the league was disrespectful. It's only the only female character that gets a heroic send-off. Shame on Rocksteady for shitting all over the legacy they meticulously and expertly crafted.
Don't buy this garbage.
If you're a DC fan and want to experience the story, you're far better off watching the cinematics on RUclips.
Don't waste hours of your life on a game by a publisher that doesn't respect you or your time.

As an else-worlds animated movie it’d be totally fine… I watched all the cutscenes and enjoyed it from that perspective.. but I’ll never buy this game…. Not unless it becomes available offline and is like $5 ….. on the other hand…. A Justice League game would’ve been a preorder…😂

I've come to the realization that Harley Quinn has become the DC equivalent of Captain Marvel. A female character who had a certain amount of popularity rebuilt to fit a more "modern audience" approach and then shoved into peoples' faces that it will become popular.

The overall story of the game isn't really bad, it just doesn't fit in the Arkham universe. Rocksteady would have been better if they just made this game in its own stand alone new universe. If you did want to have it connected to the Arkhamverse, they should have either made a sequel to Arkham Knight or make a new game entirely based on another DC character i.e Green Lantern.

Nope !!! I did not. Heroes are heroes for a reason, and we love heroes. This rewrite of history that “ackchyually Villains are misunderstood” is trash & needs to end.
Gamers truly are easily entertained anymore. I get liking something and enjoying it because we all aren't the same. But if this is all you can manage to slap together after 9 years you deserve every ounce of criticism you take. Nine years and the only thing worth experiencing is the campaign which is less than 10 hours. I had a decent time with the campaign, but I am glad that steam gave me a refund. I hope that Rocksteady continues to add content but I don't know if that will even save this game.

In this universe, the engineers have the technology to build drones with enough thrust to carry a human, but they couldn't design a harness to just directly fly with it? Instead this design requires the user to repeatedly shoot a grappling hook to a moving target to fly? It's just stupid. Just hook the grapple onto it and just fly using the drone. It's obvious they wanted to rip off the spider man swinging movement aesthetics. But, spiderman swings through the air because he is latching onto fixed objects to propel himself forward. She is connecting and disconnecting to a literal propulsion device mid flight. It's brain dead design and speaks to the overall quality of thought that was put into the product from top to bottom.

In essence, Avengers 2.0: Suicide Squad Edition. Decent combat, decent story, garbage gaas attempt.
What a shame. You'd think they would have learned from the mistakes of Avengers. Instead they decided to double down on all the shitty aspects everyone hated about that game, and slap a DC skin on it. I wasn't confident about this game to begin with, but I expected better from Rocksteady.

Rocksteady has delivered what WB asked for as best as it could have been done. Hopefully WB will learn from this debacle and allow Rocksteady to continue creating great games, instead of forcing them to follow trends.

This game really took a shit ton of advice from mobile gameing. Like to the point this game is a whole ass mobile game on a system.
Feel like this game would of done better as a risk of rain/returnal inspired co op rogue like
Gameplay wise
As a rogue like now remove all the filler missions and focus on the main stuff so it’s faster paced to fit the format
Remove looter shooter and rpg mechanics and add risk of rain stackable item based progression (make the items toyman toys)
1 weapon, melee, explosive and traversal abilities that’s exclusive to each character and makes sense to them E.g captain boomerang just has the boomstick as weapon (shotgun), boomerangs as melee, explosive boomerang as grenade and his speed force gauntlet as traversal
Use nemesis system to make each run feel different with the league boss fights (explain lex 2 has put them in time loop but Brainiac is aware of the time loop and makes alterations every time you die) - time loop not only helps explain the rogue like gameplay but also makes it feel more like an actual SUICIDE squad game where it’s actually canon that youse keep dying trying to complete this mission
Make brainiacs invasion bigger scale so we can fight on 6 sub maps based on each boss instead of just one big metropolis map E.g section of Metropolis, section of Gotham, section of central city etc
Story wise:
wonder woman’s role should of been completely swapped with batman giving this is in the Arkham verse. They could of actually just made it so Batman isn’t on the league but has come out of hiding in order to stop them
Just Replace deadshot with bloodsport as the whole two deadshot thing is just stupid for the sake of them clearly wanting to have a more diverse cast and deadshot being white in the canon originally
Twist at the end that the justice league we kill are clones made by brainiac not the real league to explain the inconsistencies of flash finger reappearing, lanterns ring not working properly after death and superman not dying to kryptonite. Also gives us the the objective for dlc to now to save the original league members who are actually just captured
Finally dlc 1 joker should be jokster from the crime syndicate universe, makes more sense then why he’s more of a fighter and equipped to help against a corrupt league

I’m currently playing resident evil 3 nemesis on my GameCube and I’m having more fun on my retro console than I would have playing suicide squad: rocksteady killed their reputation.
Not enough customization for only 4 characters and I think the characters you can play are not unique enough
