When you'd swing on a swing as a kid and you'd "marry" the person next to you, it's this effect. It's everywhere in our lives all the time and we don't even realize it. It's amazing and I don't understand it.

I can explain this and why this is so cool! This is a pretty neat effect that can diagram the golden ratio (also known as 1.618), and it all has to deal with a flower and how many turns you can give it to make it more efficient to spread seeds. Basically, if you have a certain amount of a turn and it keeps on going, it will eventually hit various lines of the pendulum. For example at 0:32 you can see 3 lines because it's at a third of a turn. The golden ratio is the most efficient way to spread seeds because you will end up not in the same place. I don't understand any of this math stuff but it's really cool to see my brain in real time see a pattern in these swinging colorful balls. Sometimes I can see they're just swinging back and forth, other times it looks like they're spinning around and around. Some DNA looking patterns here and there. It's cool.
