In New Jersey I found a 1906 Belgium 5 ces. coin, metal detecting along a canal...Not worth much but was pretty cool to find a 100 + year old coin so far from its place of origin.
Nice video. I often go searching with Franco and i learned a lot from him. Always good times! Thanks to the Garrett team.
So lucky to find a great spot like that. Did you get permission? And if so, did the farmer want a piece of the action?
very well done video.(sound and picture very clear) some lovely finds. thanks for sharing......
here is a tip to speed up your recovery, while you are visually looking for the coin by moving the dirt clods, simply pass them over your coil. You will eliminate more dirt faster and not rely on your eyes or your fingers to speed things up. Great hunt!
are there any books for good places to search in belgium??
Great field! I'd love to get over there someday for a hunt...
Excellent finds, nicely shot video .
great, great hunt you guys had, and thanks for sharing it with us. Keep traveling and posting your videos. HH
I enjoyed this video,it makes a change for Garrett not to be raming their product down our throats,a freind of mine has the AT -PRO, he and i are impressed with the way it performs.
This is beautiful :D
That item right above the religious medallion looks kind of like gold.
nice founds GarrettDetectors !!
this hobby started to intrest me.
very nice video
JEALOUS! MAN I'd love to be there!
From what I can see it looks to be the draper mini shovel with the handle replaced with a longer wooden one.
I live in Belgium!!!!!
I have a coin from 1614 I am from the Netherlands
So is it 100% legal to go for metal detecting in Belgium? Do you need any special permits or something like this?
good video,i also find most of this in the netherlands also.,where abouts is this in belguim?
might drive over the border to go searching with you guys...good luck
At least the garret guys detects with responsibility. After all, they do make some of the best detectors..
me too ! I bought a Euro Ace at Franco ;)
Hoe kiezen jullie een locatie? Of zoeken jullie gewoon op goed geluk in velden?
Ik wel
swinging too fast and not low enough on some swings. Also saw some pendulum swinging near the beginning. (sorry I'm picky about that) That being said great vid and I wish I was there swingin' with y'all with my AT Gold.
zoeken jullie ook in west vlaanderen, ik kan wel wat tips gebruiken
:)
hi there where can i get your detector.thanks
Garrett AT Gold Mi piace acquistato un'anno fà circa, incredibile macchina, peccato che con la salinità marina sia incompatibile,Comunque finora su terreni agricoli e in acqua dolce mi ha dato grandi soddisfazioni.
Surely that can't all be in the same field. How did you end up picking that one? Any historical significance?
And all the finds are reported to ROB here in the Netherlands.
That super thin coin... was it silver? I've seen old silver coins corrode away to almost nothing like that.
getting very interested
belgium, petit pays laisse nous nos tresors
Hello GarrettDetectors,
I am also looking for coins and the like.
I've also found some coins. I was wondering if you could tell me how I can clean it without having to go broke. Some have also tuned rust stains.
'd Be happy to provide feedback very much.
LG Dominik
it's legal in most of the parts in belgium
and at 17:33 is a franc from 1800
Do you also find a lot of worn coins? I find only one good piece over ten...
Oh man ! This is a hobby i would enjoy alot. Better then fishing etc. This would be perfect for me, i'm a real history junkie and abit childish aswell :) Treasure hunting like indiana jones lol
lol Medieval 1700 dont think so guys more around 1500 or early for the coin .
Are these old coin (Hammerd) worth anything?...... AND, would they be worth anything is they were found in America?... as if somebody came over here with their stash and buried it?....I have a reason for asking.
I wish australia was older then what it is
australia is really really old i can assure you of that

Amateurs, swinging the coil too fast missing a lot of ground :-(
So far i know its not legal, always when you are detecting with the intend to find archeological artefacts its illegal, and if you do you always have to have permission of the landowner, i think you wouldent appreaciate when somebody is digging in your garden without permission ?
I am a detecrorist to, and attacheched to a official archeological club, and everywher i go, i have permission of the landowner.
instead of rubbing, put the coin in your mouth...okay, dumb suggestion but it just came to me...:)
I have watched other detector guys and the same story is don't rub the coin because you may cause it to go even worse...good luck hunting !!
By 12:09 is a pendant with Jesus on it probably
That medallion is indeed religious
