    I was wondering who would have sharp enough vision to see that a Pentium was installed first.
    The Pentium was already installed on the K6 motherboard, I literally took out the Pentium, and instead of grabbing the 7600k reinstalled the Pentium by mistake. We realized it later and swapped it during the montage.

      How do you know he's not doing it for free? Let's do the math shall we? Jay has a ton of computer parts laying around, Jay is a good guy that cares about people and would give you the shirt off his back, And Jay also has a deep respect for our vets. So I'm comfortable with assuming Jay did this for him for free. Now assclowns like you guys that are about the money, yeah, you probably would have charged him. But I don't think Jay did. This is the problem with our culture today in this country. It's always about the money. people won't even be compassionate anymore unless there's something it it for them. Such a sad time for the human race.

Theres good and bad with that as alot of you have experienced hundreds of times over... As a disabled Vet myself of almost 30 years, I appreciate what you did here. I spend most of my time repairing pc's at our local vets home here in Wi. with state cutbacks and reduced services our Vets need all the help they can get! Thanks Jay!

      reloadstuff it’s actually also due to imbalance to the ph levels and even in pools it will generally form in the more shaded part. No air is not correct as green algae also grows under water!!

      the point of water cooling is to push your system further, higher clock speeds things like that. Yes air does the job, but it does not always allow for the highest clock speeds your card/cpu can push.

      Still need to do maintenance on an air cooled system

    • @andrewskaterrr
      @andrewskaterrr 6 лет назад

      Hardcore Hardware
      1st off you watch that idiot Science Studio, so I’m already questioning your knowledge.
      Secondly to get 240mm AIO performance you need a ND-H15 sized cooler, which is MASSIVE and heavy. It takes up a lot of room, you have to worry about ram clearance, and it puts stress on your motherboard. It also dumps air into your system, where as an AIO can be set to exhaust it straight out of the case. An AIO can be mounted out of the way and take up little space. The only real downside it they go bad after 4-5 years and you can have some pump whine, but you can lower the pump speed to reduce it. My CM Elite 110 has almost no room for an air cooler. The stock cooler had the heat being trapped and temps would skyrocket once over 1.1v (g3258). But I was able to put a 120mm AIO in there no problem. My 4790k will be going in there soon as well. Low profile coolers cost as much or more than that AIO and they would still have airflow issues and push heat down on my VRM/mobo.
      My main rig has a 240mm on my cpu and 120mm on my 970. Got them on sale $80 for water 2.0 extreme and $40 water 2.0 performer. I’ve had them for about 4 years and I’ve decided to mod them together into a custom loop with a reservoir, new tubes, a quick disconnect, and tube clamps for $40. Both sit as exhausts on top and rear and look great. I’ve used EVO 212s, TX4, and the better looking Be Quiet Pure Rocks (2 brand new in box right now too). My main issue is size. Air coolers are just big. The up side is they are slightly cheaper in the ND-H14s case and a bit cheaper when it comes to the 212, and the single pint of failure is the fan.
      I like to overclock my stuff pretty far and liquid cooling allows me to do that. Air is NOT always the better option. Stop making false claims and being a fanboy.

    • @andrewskaterrr
      @andrewskaterrr 6 лет назад

      How the hell do you have AIOs fall?? You screw them into metal. Do you fans fall off too or your air coolers?? Because if your AIOs are falling then you don't know how to screw them in. I have 5 AIOs, and I've had 3 non OEM air coolers and 2 more in boxes. I've never had anything fall out of my computer. And I've built about 30 other rigs with both AIOs and air coolers. Never had anything fall out of them. And I said "it can put stress on the motherboard" not "destroy them". I was running my systems 24/7 when I was mining, both are liquid cooled as well. No failures yet.
      But for 24/7 use I'd just stick with air so you don't have to deal with evaporation, but if you had a custom loop it'd be easier to take care of and temps would be lower with multiple rads.

    Having six dogs of my own I clean and maintain my fans every six months. Wiping down the blades and oiling the bearings. On my last pass thru I bought a filter to cover the fans on the radiator of my AIO. It cuts down on the hairy problem. Quick note been building my own and systems for friends since 1987. Love watching the vids keep it up, and know I do enjoy them.

    Jay, im on yourside of watercooling, i currently have 120+ 1080ti's (gpu miners :(.... ) all watercooled on a single gravity fed hybrid loop and its been rock stable for me, i run alcohol for growth inhib and filter the water through a 3 stage house water filtering setup... but im using PEX for all my lines instead of the stuff you typically use in your builds. I want to thank you for all the knowledge you have shared over the years, you are truly what inspired me to convert my entire operation over to watercooled.

    I don't understand people who criticize water cooling. I do not have any water cooled systems. This is by choice as I do not want to do the maintenance. If you realize what you are getting into when you set it up then go for it. The gentleman that will be using this computer has one of the best in the business to help him with maintenance. It's all good.
    Keep doing that water cooling content. Maybe one day I will join in on it!

    This is why you shouldn't water cool! ;-)
    Honestly, I love that you guys are not shy about showing the downsides of watercooling. It provides great cooling, it can be fun to build, and it can look really cool, but it also requires a lot more monitoring and maintenance than air cooling. Is it the right choice for some people? Absolutely. The wrong choice for some? Absolutely again. I rebuilt a friend's computer recently after his motherboard died, and went air cooling, because he would never want to open his case for any reason. Even the AIO coolers you need to worry about permeation and fluid loss over time.
