Note: If you have a pull out cupholder under the HVAC controls instead of an ashtray, there are 4 screws that need to be removed. 2 are on the front bottom of the cupholder frame and two are inside the cupholder frame near the back on the top. They are angled to make it possible to get a screwdriver on them.

You just saved me a nightmare and a headache. Was looking for a way to route my HAM Radio wiring through the dash and out the top speaker covering. Thank you!!

I don't know the guy who made this video, but it was so clear, well explained, and with such good camera angles, that never having done this before, and using a putty knife instead of the official tool kit, I did the complete "R&R" & was playing the radio and 3 CD's 25 minutes after starting the process. Thanks a BUNCH!

I'm glad you mentioned you used a putty knife... I wanted to use something I already had in the toolbox.

This video helped me twice. First, I was able to replace the aux port in probably 10 or 15 minutes which I was not expecting to be able to do. Then, since these aux ports are of questionable design (i.e. my new one broke already), I was able to use this video again to remove my receiver in 15 minutes. Hopefully I can figure out installing my new one now that I've got my dashboard all opened up

If you have a 08' and it does not have the center console. You have to remove the panel under the wheel, partially, to remove 1 screw that holds the left panel on. Also if you have the cup holder it has 2 screws holding it in place. Might be helpful to clarify what model they are working on and not just state 08-13. And yes he did remove that model just fine ! I guess you have a yota too!

Thanks Guys your video is great. After watching I had the AUX jack out in 10 min.. I also watched the how to repair video which was helpful. However besides a bad solder joint I also had the guts coming out when you insert the pin jack into the port.

Great video! I am really thankful I came across this. I’ve been thinking about upgrading my head unit and watched a few other videos, and honestly got a ltlle intimidated cause they were showing pulling out parts of the console and other things as well. I believe I can do this noe. Thank you so much!

Excellent. The back side of the clear window for the display on my radio becomes dusty as well as the display front surface. This helps me remove it safely. I can then pull the fascia of the radio and a little blast of canned clean again. Thank you,

Do you happen to know of a way to remove just the clear panel over where the radio station readout is? Mine has a ton of dirt behind it, and I can’t even read my screen, but I can’t figure out how to clean behind it? Thank you so much! (2013 Toyota Tundra factory stereo just like the one on this video)

NICE! I came here because my son's drivers, right, vent louver next to the stereo is broken. I'm trying to determine if it's easier to remove the stereo, or the dash panel to fix. Looks like removing the stereo might allow for more access. Any opinion you can help me with?

I have a 2007 Tundra Crewmax and it won't accept a CD. Completely aggravating. I am the third owner and the man I purchased the truck from apparently never used the radio/CD player so I have no idea what is wrong with the CD player.
