They were our neighbors in Tulsa. I used to drive my pre-teen girls by their house so they could get a glimpse of them playing basketball in their yard. My friend called me to say the boys were scheduled for paintball and invited my girls to play! It was one of the most beautiful memories I have of being a mom! The girls were so excited and happy and talked about it for years…

I'm 35 years old and have a masters degree in music performance. That said, Hanson was responsible for some of the most beautiful, catchy music of the twenty-first century. My hat comes off for these talented boys. The chord progressions, lyrical content, and charm is the stuff of legends. This is about as good as pop music can get. Love.

This song is now going to have a special place in my heart! grew up listening to this album on repeat because my sister was a huge fan! This song in particular was played non stop and I slowly grew to like some of their songs. This one was, in my opinion, their best release! Then I got a call 2 weeks ago saying that my younger sister had died from a heart attack ... at 36! Hours later, when my thoughts came back to me, this song was the first thing that I thought of! Every time I hear it, memories of our teenage years come to me and it's still bitter-sweet! I will come to you my sister, but until then, I'll always cherish the memories I have!

They all were so old before their time, incredible lyrics and beautiful harmonising. They truly were (and still are) pure souls. The memories I have of listening to these songs when I was very young really hurt my heart. One of the world’s greatest bands and musicians of history ❤

They are my fave band during my childhood and never realize that this song is about God. It seems unclear to me that it's about Jesus, as it is written in the first person. Also, when the singer says "even if we can't be together, we'll be friends now and forever", I would say it's not about Jesus.
I don't know what they were thinking when they wrote it. All three of them are Christians, but Hanson isn't a "Christian band". Of course it has to influence them. I'm a Christian and I never thought about it until about a month ago, that I could interpret it as a "Christian song". Especially the part about not being together. Because Jesus left physically but promised to sent His Spirit(The Holy Spirit). It says that "He will come to comfort you". I don't know if Hanson originally meant it that way, but that the things about music, it can often mean different things to different people.
