22.10, Muttampatti, If you see carefully the platform is far away from the actual line. Originally this was metre gauge track and the original MG track was aligned to this platform. This BG track was laid next to original MG tracks and later the later the MG lines have been ripped off. but the platforms have not rebuilt for this tracks

You can see the old MG alignment from 2:40 With the small bridge over culvet an then slowly drifting off right till 3:05. It can still be viewed on google maps satellite view - 11.679350986055193, 78.1087967350975 .Hosur to Dharmapuri was NG initially and the line extended to Morappur. The old MG alignment (mini detour before entering Salem Junction from hosur line) has been reclaimed and a new BG line has sprung up in its place. Its clearly visible on google maps. Once its operational, all trains from SBC/HSRA will now not need to wait for SA-MAS Main line signal to enter Salem Junction, as the new line goes below the SA-MAS line at Magnesite junction!

the LP that took over from Coimbatore must have been on glucose or something....handled the twins very roughly. The short bursts of 8th notches were weird excluding the ghat section...awesome video!
Years ago the run from Ernakulum to Erode was done with an electric locomotive and the train would zip across, the diesel locomotive did not have that speed and would slow down at certain areas. Now I am given to understand that it is electrified thorough to Bangalore. It is fast.
