- hi guys, if this video helps you out at all or you just enjoy watching then please feel free to tip enough to get a hot drink. The channel does cost a fair few pound to run so all tips would go towards continuing the vids and making them better.
thanks

In this video I adjust the valve clearances properly this time.
Start up as new compression test coming tomorrow.
Thanks for watching, I hope these videos help at least 1 person out with their own bike, this makes it all worth it.
Interesting and informative Charlie.
This whole engine rebuild has been bravely taken on
Nice
Yep, 1 more bearing and some lock tight and this is ready for its new owner.
brill videos ok top fella i have a blown head gasket on my 600 fazer was not to sure where to begain but gonna give it a go thanks to your videos
The head gasket is fairly simple over all because you won't have to mess with the valves at all. You can pop the whole head off in 1 piece.
At worse you do the majority and need a mobile machanic to help you put it back together. You will still save a few pound.
Well done. I like it when pistons went on floor. You did not edit it. That’s wot I like about you. You have to sort out garage out and some light in it. That would be a good video to see. Nice one 🔧🏍👍
I have no power on the garage so no light at all. I wish it had 1 socket. Would be so much better. It needs a good clean aswell.
That was pretty funny when the pistons fell out. I thought they were in with the rings attached lol.
Glad you reset the valves, I wouldn't run it though until you change that bush, major damage if it fails.
Yeh I get that, the bush is held in place fully by the valve head, its not going anywhere however I won't be running it properly until the bush and locktight is on.
Turning the motor clockwise is backwards. You're not meant to do that. The camchain tensioner doesn't like it.
I can assure you that it would have been no problem at all on this engine.
On some engines it's an issue..
how did you remove the timing rotation cap
Hi Harry, I'm not sure what you mean by the cap mate. Can you clarify please or drop a link to a pick of what you mean?
Cheers mate
@@motorcyclerescuer hello
There is a cap. Where you rotate the camshaft with the ratchet spanner. It has a slit it in it. You can't rotate the cam without removing this 'cap'. On nighthawk there's two caps on the left engine casing. The large and small circles with the slit.
Oh yes on the engine casing. It's just slits for a flat head screw driver I believe.
@@motorcyclerescuer ruclips.net/video/yijbNAYoUgE/видео.html took me all morning but got there
It could be very difficult to remove. An alternative is to put it in a high gear and move the back wheel that will do the exact same thing you have to move it in gear.
Got issue on my engine, only left side is firing, the right piston has no firing but with spark.
What could be the problem?
Are you sure the spark is strong?
I would be doing a compression test if I was you to confirm good compression.
I have a 1995 Honda nighthawk 250 and can't find out what the valve clearances are for in and ex can you help?
Hi Jimmy
Intake is 0,12mm and exhaust is 0,16mm
Make sure you use the right feeler gauges with the right measurements mate. Put some oil on and you want it to drag lightly.
Hope this helps

Hi I suggest looking on www.ebay.com and getting one delivered to your country
Hey, where have you got to? No video for a week, what's happening man.
Hi Andy, I've got 1 that's abit boring and a second that I did yesterday. But I've had no Internet since last Wed and I'm waiting for a new router to arrive in the post. Should be any time over the next few days.
I've tried using public WiFi but it hasn't worked.
So 2 vids coming very soon. Also waiting on that very last bush for the cafe and that should be good to go.
Thanks mate
@@motorcyclerescuer glad you are still shooting videos, looking forward to seeing them soon, take care.
Anyone knowing the honda 1983 250 cm custom valve clearance please help thanks
Hi mate. I'm afraid I don't if it's not the same engine as in the vid.
Hi mate, after looking online I found that the intake should be 0.10mm and the exhaust 0.14mm. I hope this helps you out.
Charlie
Thank u my friend it now sounds and performs like a champion bike
Great job then. We'll done mate. Always nice when these kinds of jobs go well.
Hey! I have an 83 as well! I think I screwed the valves earlier when trying to get it running. This video and info in the thread are a huge help!
