For the SHD points, no, no need to do it. But for the Daily/Weekly projects (for exotic p.), yes, you need to do it.
Wonder if anyone else noticed this. I did a WONY run over the weekend. I noticed it took me and a clan member a lot longer to do than normal. Meaning we had to do a bunch of control points and side missions and activities in order to get leveled up to 40. The on cool thing was that once you hit level 40 you DO NOT need to run Liberty Island and it just allows you to start fiddling around with your watch then. I wonder if this is just a condition of the XP bug...?
Thank you for saying this, I was wondering if you needed to complete Liberty to get the watch to unlock. On my prior solo runs (before this update) I did have to complete 2 control points to get to level 40 before it would let me go to Liberty Island.
You get the watch now when you hit 40 need need to even go New York if you don’t want to 👍
They mentioned that they redid the xp scale from 30-40 so I guess that’s why 👍
Worth making it clear you should _not_ use the helicopter to apply the boost, but instead use the shop (as you do).
What happens if you use the heli?

Apparently Invaded missions on Hard mode takes about 2hrs to get from lvl 30 - 40.
*edit* as I types this, you did the Invaded Mission. Hehehehe.

Solo player dz clearing landmarks, was a total of 2 hours of grind to get to lvl 40🎉

Same here, solo player dz, no extracts just landmarks. It was between 85k-105k per landmark and I was able to clear each in less than 5 mins.
On the DZ lv 31-39?

I also wondered how quickly someone could get leveled up just being with someone running heroic, 5 directives and using the determined/perfect headhunter hotshot build to run through Outcast/True Sons/BT public executions and Broadcasts. this seems to work for quick XP gains on my OG character.

Did this yesterday for the first time (got to L40 and crafted 100 god rolled gear mods but don’t dob me in to the Devs Tickle!)
But it was dull as dishwater doing it!! Three invaded missions on rinse and repeat took about three hours? Some took two missions to level up once. Did it solo though so it was a true grind. Almost prefer NY now.
I was doing this, and switched to DZ landmarks. I reckon it's slightly faster and it's definitely more interesting.

Can't one level 40 player work from running the same mission 10 times?
There’s really no difference in leveling method except the invaded missions. It’s just now we have more variety.
Maybe, seems quicker to me, I have never been 40 in under a hour before.
@@djtickle GCROCK put out a similar video where he had 6 friends pulling him through. It’s just not that practical for most people at this point in the game’s lifecycle. That method existed in WONY. Maybe not an hour bust still not much of a difference.
So, it seems the best method is to get a discord of 11 players. Each one is 40+ except djtickle at 30. Each runs Lincoln separately, holds pre-boss, and tickle joins them there. Bam! 20 minutes and djtickle is at 40. But wait, you then have to do same for the other 10 players (otherwise you're offloading). Total time is then 11 * 20, 220 mins. Or 3:40. Not much of a savings over WONY.
Suppose it depends! But Wony is old hat now pretty sure most are fed up of it! haha

There is yet a faster way to level even over Invaded missions.
Do Invaded Missions is better, eg. DCD ;-) with a level 40

What we have to do when you are solo player ? ...
DZ landmarks are about 2 hours 30-40 solo, less if you have a decent twink build.
Nice but you still have to run NY and kill keener to show your shd lvl. But it’s easier because you’re at lvl40.

@@djtickle did all that. But when I’m on the log in screen my agent show lvl 40, and doesn’t show my shd lvl like my other agents. Once i ran through ny and keener. It went back to normal again with shd lvl shown on login plus all projects shows up to. Before it only shows 3 projects for NY.

@@mt6nin825 I have seen 2 options, 1 is running the initial mission in NY before going through like this, and the other is log out and log back in after hitting 40 and that supposedly works too. I have yet to try it, but may this week.
