I recently discovered your channel - found your collecting journey really interesting especially as it's from a UK perspective (as I'm in the UK too). My interest is in the TF G1 content as that's what I remember from my childhood and your other video explaining the various modern toy-lines was really useful for someone who doesn't know. Loved the room tour as well - I well remember watching The Trap Door and Knightmare - some blasts from the past! Thanks.
Thanks for watching and glad you're enjoying the channel. I really want to pick up some more Nema Studios releases since they're doing some great work. There are some other people also doing niche toy lines in the UK (checkout @slimehousetv on RUclips. His creations are amazing!)
I see that Beachcomber on the shelf… been waiting 5 months for mine ;-; I also understand the situation of our wives allowing us to have a room. I ALSO understand living in a 100+ year old home. Nothing is ever straight or leveled 😂
10:58 I know the feeling. It's fantastic remembering our first happiness with the little tiny G1 and then realizing that we have a lot more than what we did back then. Because we wished we had the ones we had now.
I appreciate your work! Thank you for what you do. I appreciate your adult take on a childhood classic. I don’t want a “transformers cartoon is perfect in every way” approach. As much as I love the nostalgia, the cartoon isn’t really that great now that I view it differently. So I’d love to hear a review on transformers the movie or even the live action films. Also, I’m like you in that if I had a ton of money, I still am not interested in vintage transformers. I like the updated versions and reimagined figures. That’s why I’m big into GI Joe Classified series. I love the updated looks and larger size but keeping the nod to the original figures is perfect
Really liking the look of what they're doing with GI Joe now. Some of the new figures and vehicles look great and have been massively impressed with some of the Haslabs!
Great collection video! So many of us can relate to struggling to display our collection in some aesthetically pleasing way with limited space available. I think you've done a great job; those Dinobots look awesome all collected standing together! You're lucky you didn't double up a ton with that Legacy 5-pack. I had all four of the previously released figures (Trailbreaker, Jazz, Sunstreaker, and. Wheeljack), but luckily I was able to sell them after I got the box set with Hound. I would be all for another 5-pack that included similar versions of Sideswipe, Bluestreak, Mirage, Prowl, and a brand new Windcharger--even though that would be yet another case of me already having four out of the five. I have the Earthrise Prowl from the 2-pack with Ironhide, but if they made him available again I could sell off that set because I've also got Studio Ironhide. The others I want to upgrade. I have the Siege versions of Sideswipe, Mirage, and Bluestreak. The Sideswipe that comes in the Kingdom 2-pack looks great, as you mentioned, but I have no interest in the other figure in the set, and I don't want to overpay for that set when I'm sure Sideswipe will be available again somehow/someway. Likewise, the Siege Bluestreak is... fine. l'm mad at myself because I had multiple opportunities to get the superior Earthrise version, but the happened to fall on a time when I wasn't sure I was going to keep collecting Transformers at all and couldn't justify buying him. Seeing him go for $50 to $60 on the secondary market now is painful. As for Mirage, I actually think the Siege version of Mirage is better than the Kingdom version, but it could still be improved. And, of course, we need a Windcharger, the only G1 season 1 Autobot that hasn't been done in the modern Generations era. And he was actually in the 1986 movie! (Well, his corpse was in it.) I got a bunch of the Masters of the Universe Origins figures as well, but in this case I used my nostalgia a little more productively in that I bought them for my son, who really got into He-Man for a while. Actually, he really just loves Skeletor and all the bad guys. And who can blame him? The villains in MOTU were way, waaaay better than the heroes. I was really tempted to pick up those cartoon D&D figures, but I passed. They look so fun, though. Great job! Looking forward to the next unboxing videos.
I pulled the trigger on those D&D figures but now I'm glad I never took them out of the box. Apparently they are very fragile and I'm almost certain I would've snapped an arm off or something! Agree with your choices for another Generations 5 pack. For SS86 I'm surprised we haven't seen a single boxed prowl since all the other Autobots on the shuttle have been released. Still enjoying the podcasts by the way and nearly up to your Transformers specific episodes now. Just finished your episode on The Real Ghosbusters and wondered if you've been tempted by the new Mondo figures? Incredibly expensive but they look amazing! Samhain - boo!
2:30 it’s the personality I’m drawn to the most. As long as you are genuine and not doing it just for likes, people will watch. You make good content. Keep up the good work.
I really like collection tour vids! I like to see what others do with their stuff, it’s always interesting. I agree, U.Magnus should not be bigger than Grimlock.
Your setup is very similar to mine, I have an 86 Autobot and Decepticon shelf, then an 84-84 Autobot and Decepticon shelf, also a few more for the legacy armada and Cybertron figures
I am looking at getting characters from the Golden Age of Cybertron - the War Dawn 2 Pack and others which I think would look great in a display all together!
A really nice video! I’m into so many collecting hobbies (mainly tabletop war gaming) so right now content like this is just about managing to stop me from buying Transformers 😁 Currently the only ones I have are the YOLO mini action figures, and only cause I managed to get all 6 for 35 euro.
I have all my tabletop models up in the attic since I periodically still get the urge to paint/play! Right now the Transformers distract me - glad the video might save you some money though!
The videos I post are the ones I have the most fun in. The ones where I try to organize or formulate I usually don’t post. The fun videos are the real me. The structured videos are me trying to be something else.
6:53 yeah I plan to do the exact same thing. Try to set up 1984 to 1986 look. I have 57 so far. And I started in 2018 I do believe. It's when I got my first carbon tax. Earthrise. And I tell you I am so glad I did.
27:47 gives it that store isle vibe. I actually have pegs and peg boards from toys r us before they closed down. Currently being used for my Star Wars collection.
Blitzwing is coming in a three pack captured series in cartoon accurate colors. Its sucks cause I would love to get him and Astrotrain, but I don't want to get them in that set for $109 US dollars.
25:52 Wow talk about Masters of the universe. You're very lucky. I saw a long time ago the giant grayskull Castle. I'm pretty sure you don't have that yet. But that would be totally awesome to try to maybe get.
31:26 I see why the wife gave you that room. There's no freaking light in there. Lol now I know why you have the box light and the other Dusty bulb light.
20:49 I do not have 86 Prime yet. I'm holding out for either the constructicons or the other 1984 look-alike Transformers that I need to complete my collection. And then there's Nemesis and the ark. And combiners. Jesus Christ.... I need to get a job. And I'm 149 years old. Uh.
12:40 oh dear God...? What kind of weird gunk is growing on blur? That's another thing that us collectors are worrying about. The yellowness. And now whatever the hell is growing on blur. Let's call it cosmic rust. Lol
35:28 can’t remember who said it but they said that RUclips videos is the way grown men play with toys nowadays. Or something along those lines. There’s a little bit of truth to that.
2:30 it should be about what you want to watch. @roccothegreat says it all the time “make content you want to watch, who cares what others want.” The audience will come.
nice toys, I was picking one of each row, very fun thanks for the share and actually showing them 😊

It is not (straight or level I mean - that read weird in isolation!) Thank goodness for understanding spouses - we got lucky!
10:58 I know the feeling. It's fantastic remembering our first happiness with the little tiny G1 and then realizing that we have a lot more than what we did back then. Because we wished we had the ones we had now.

I love old, ramshackly houses...They're full of character.
That Earthrise Smokescreen is one of my favorites.
He's gr8!
“There’s internet in there” 😂

@@retroandreissue Thanks. Glad you're enjoying the podcast. I did see that Mondo Samhain set. It looks really cool, but at that price I'm gonna pass.
@@ryandaly01 Yeah, I'm really torn about it. It would mean having to skip some Transformers if I take the plunge for sure

Me too! Get lots of inspiration from seeing how other people display things
Love your video posting! I relate on so many levels.
@ I agree! And with the Ariel bots on the way that would be an awesome shelf for them to all be on

Impressive collection. Keep up the good work👍🏼👍🏼!
I really like the three shelves. I wonder where Devastator will go?
That's the question! I may have to rejig thing to make room for those combiners! (Still need Menasor!)
The videos I post are the ones I have the most fun in. The ones where I try to organize or formulate I usually don’t post. The fun videos are the real me. The structured videos are me trying to be something else.
30:17 Saturday morning cartoons with a bowl of cereal and my Peter Venkman action figure. Yes sir!
11:42 ya know I said I wouldn’t do the missing link line. But I did!🤦🏻♂️ The old school toys with modern day articulation is very nice!
33:56 yeah I liked the teenage mutant Ninja turtles cartoon. One because April O'Neil was stacked. Lol
6:53 yeah I plan to do the exact same thing. Try to set up 1984 to 1986 look. I have 57 so far. And I started in 2018 I do believe. It's when I got my first carbon tax. Earthrise. And I tell you I am so glad I did.
11:26 Better. The word you are looking for is better. Nostalgia is fun but it will blind you. I mean, just look at how awesome Brawn is now!
Love your channel!!
Thanks for joining and watching!
Boy I remember when my collection started about 27 years ago. Not including toys from my childhood.
27:47 gives it that store isle vibe. I actually have pegs and peg boards from toys r us before they closed down. Currently being used for my Star Wars collection.
I also enclosed my wifi gadgets in a lead box. Glad I'm not the only one.

I've thought about it but just no room for such a massive castle!
3:58 carefully it doesn't get too hot and catch fire.
31:26 I see why the wife gave you that room. There's no freaking light in there. Lol now I know why you have the box light and the other Dusty bulb light.
24:59 “strapped for space, strapped for cash”. Collectors problems 😂😂
Very nice collection R&R....do you plan on adding jet/skyfire, skylynx, any combiners or titans like omega supreme or fort max?
Definitely Menasor and Devestator. The constructicons look great from what I've seen so far!
RUclips is definitely a hustle.
Uh.
19:43 I missed out on that Wheeljack🤦🏻♂️
Well from what they just said we won't be getting anymore re releases after there run anymore so that kinda sucks
17:01 agree
Is that not the Earthrise Smokescreen rather than Kingdom?
12:40 oh dear God...? What kind of weird gunk is growing on blur? That's another thing that us collectors are worrying about. The yellowness. And now whatever the hell is growing on blur. Let's call it cosmic rust. Lol
What line is that Wheeljack from?
That specific repaint came in the Generations 5 pack
35:28 can’t remember who said it but they said that RUclips videos is the way grown men play with toys nowadays. Or something along those lines. There’s a little bit of truth to that.
21:38 😂😂😂 “token retro ish”
no Gijoe? i collect transformers and vintage gijoes
No, I never got into GI Joe as a kid, although I always liked the figures
