Love a good yeast comparison, and that balloon trick was a neat idea!

Thank you, I got that trick from Brulosophy a few years back. Works like a charm!

@Yusuf Aron Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Big fan of Dance With the Dead for brew day music. However, when doing a recent Oktoberfest Marzen I had some Oktoberfest music kicking! Good video!

Also, I know chico strain (A07 - US05 - Wyeast 1056) flocs out pretty clear, never used the 1318 though, does it take longer to clear or was there an issue with the 2nd gen 1318?

Have to keep the culture of the brew going!

I think the English strains just take longer to floc out, though it could be the 2nd generation. I’ve only took Imperial “Juice” multiple generations on a commercial level, never had a problem with that.

@@HopKillerBrewery Ive been using imperial yeast since they started out, used to not be able to get it here so I would literally get it straight from imperial haha.
I have never gotten a bad batch, heck I found a old can from like 4 years ago in the back of a fridge that still fermented a beer after all that time. They used to put the yeast in cans before they started doing the pouches.

I see you use a chest freezer as. Ferm chamber. What do you have in there to raise the temp when you need to? Cheers. Live your videos!!!!

I use these “Ferm wraps” they are basically those heating mats you can use while germinating seeds. I plug those into an InkBird controller and they can bring it up to around 80F if it’s not too cold of an environment

Any chance I can get this recipe for either 5.5 gallon batch or in a brewfather link?
