I'm in grade ten, and I socially transitioned this year. I still dress very feminine and have very feminine attributes and habits. I'm okay with that because I actually quite like the style, and my outfit choice that day does not determine my gender identity (also my family is real transphobic and I don't wanna have that conversation LMAO). One time, my gym teacher accidentally said "she" instead of "he" or "they" and I quickly corrected him and we moved on with the lesson. A few weeks later the class is talking about super-straight and yadda yadda then it moved into trans people. The teacher asked me to stay after class. Apparently, it was just eating him up inside about the one time he accidentally misgendered me, even though I had long forgotten about it, and he asked me "did that bother you? I feel really bad. It didn't do any mental damage did it?" and I quickly told him no I didn't mind much it happens all the time and I know he wasn't doing it on purpose- and that I understood how it happened. he then asked me about what it was like to be trans, and since my friend is nonbinary who uses they/them pronouns exclusively, he wanted to know how he could be more inclusive for us while still being appropriate for a conservative catholic school. I told him a few things, but if he wanted to learn more he could join the school's GSA, which I'm very active in. he joins, and every week he brings a notebook and a pen, for the sole purpose of learning. He's a straight, white, cis ex-football player teacher, who genuinely wants to make life easier for his one in a million students who're trans, nb, gay, bi, Omni, etc. and I think that's really precious

I just don't understand why people care about other people's gender identity like In What way does it affect someone else just let people life there life the way they want I'd that really so hard to do
My sister said that I was too young to be trans but she does not understand that gender dysphoria can come at a very young age.
She's not informed on this argument, she thinks that she's smart just because she has a diploma.
I started estrogen at 12 and puberty blockers at 11 I transitioned at 7 after lots of specialists finally I was told that the way to being happier and better as a person was to transitioned and right know I am living my life and I’m loving it and people like Ben Shapiro and people like him still bug me but they don’t bring me down you are a huge inspiration Samantha keep living love your vids have a amazing day!
I’m a proud transgender girl
I’m trans but my parents are both transphobic and I’m scared
Aww, I'm sorry you're going through that..
just get normal then
And when a woman gets married, we NEVER use her maiden name again and pretend she never had that name. So yeah, perfect analogy
While my dad has said he would never use the pronouns of a transgender person, he said he would always call them by their choice name and use no pronouns for them. How can it be so hard for others to use the names while my conservative Christian dad who doesn't agree with it can manage something so small.
I love when she be pulling facts and data. Make them look all dumb 😂🤦♀️
'This is what he concluded in the 70s'

I truly don't understand why people are so outraged by puberty blockers
I was put on them when I was younger just to delay the closure of the growth plates on my bones so I could be slightly taller
So like, why is it a big "no" for conservatives like that when it will be saving a kids life

Thing is everyone is entitled to their own opinion , that given , making false claims and promoting trans panic is not an opinion it is flat out violence against us trans folk .
Like I have been assaulted by transphobes verbally and physically so my fears are real not imagined.
Did this dude just ask why we have age of consent laws? I wanna barf 🤢
Hey, I'm currently in basically a psychward and I've been talking to a therapist about my gender identity for a while now.
So far, everyone is still misgendering me, but the therapist is listening and that's more than anyone else has ever done.
Yesterday she asked me what I'd do if someone told me I have to keep living as female.... I told her "Then I'd say it's not worth it." (meaning that it wouldn't be worth to keep living, because I'd extremely uncomfortable).
The hour was over before we got anywhere else, but I plan to keep brining it up, because I'm there for anxiety issues and lack of self esteem and stuff like that, and by now I'm fairly sure I only have those issues at least partly because I'm trans...
I'm just not confident enough to correct people on pronouns and such without a therapist telling me it'd be a good idea, because transphobes are a thig and I really don't want to put a target onto myself even more...
Find at least one peer you can trust. There has to be someone you know who will accept you.
@@heartbox1541 Everyone there is a lot older than I am and I've thought I could trust someone with it before, only to be insanely let down and get hurt in the end... I don'r know how many of the have those "traditional believes" and I really don't have the energy to deal with someone trying to convert me, you know?
I told one guy there, but he's just left and for the entire time he knew he kept making comments about how pretty I am and stuff... Like I was just being insecure and completely invalidating my identity would somehow fix me.
*sigh* I'm just going to wait until the time is right and keep talking to that therapist, I guess...
@Fletcher Forest I don't really care what random people think of me, but I do care about what someone who I have to share a room with and be around 24/7 thinks of me, because I'm at that hospital because my mental health is already pretty much down the drain and I really don't feel like defending my identity all the time... that's why I want to wait until the therapist tells me that at least they believe me, because then I will have one person on my side who might be abled to step in, if the other people there start treating me worse because of it...
It's not really that I care about their opinion, it's that I care about not getting into mentally draining fights, in a place where everyone only goes when they're already troubled with enough problems.
@@silvercandra4275 I still care, even now. Any luck?
@@heartbox1541 Well... I came out to the person I was sharing a room with and they told everyone else to adress me using my prefered name... which I didn't want them to do... it resulted in a bunch of people asking really uncomfortable questions until this one girl, I already didn't like, asked me specifically, if there was a reason for it and I just completely blanked and told her "Later and not here."
She ended up inviting me into her room, where she again asked me why I wanted to be adressed with a different name and I just spat out "I'm not a girl..." and she looked at me and understood.
I ended up sitting on the floor of her room, crying my eyes out, because guess what... I wasn't alone after all, I just didn't know it... that girl was actually trans too.
We kept talking, she introduced me to her group and I came out to more and more people and as it turns out, everyone was okay with it. The poeple I was scared of knowing were actually the most vigilant ones when it came to correcting others on my pronouns (though they also messed up every once in a while).
The only three people I've met in my life, who didn't accept me and who were trying to talk me into being miserable, weren't the people I was scared of... one of them was an asshole teacher, whose opinions don't matter in the slightest (especially since I got him fired for bullying a bunch of students), and my parents.
Everyone else who knows fully supports me.
And the therapists I spoke to provided me with some adresses I need to turn to to get this transitioning thing going... and one of them kept making complements about how masculine I looked, sounded, or acted... and another one told me that he thinks it's good that I don't see it as a black and white thing... I'm a man, but that doesn't mean I can't still have beautiful long hair and wear make up.
Tl;dr I'm actually doing really well and my parents are just being unsupportive a-holes.
I feel like we should look out for a comment from Elliot and comfort him, he really needs it.
Elliot is an icon, he's a legend and he is the moment

I love how the ad for this video was literally Ms.Samantha herself. Marvelous!!
I hate how transphobes call surgery "mutilation" like, that's such an insult, not just to trans people, but to surgeons and doctors who study medicine for years on end and work their bones off for the wellbeing and happiness of their patients, performing surgeries expertly and in a sterile environment with the intention of helping.
@Fletcher Forest you spend a lot of time commenting on a trans channel. Bit sus mate
@Fletcher Forest yeah lol
@Fletcher Forest so if a cis women got breast reduction because of back pain you would think that’s mutilation?
@@queerios1077 hey finally, someone who's not an asshole in my replies. Thanks for being here!
@@queerios1077 to make up for the negativity this guy is putting out, I just want to say I hope you have an amazing day!
i despise this 'mutilation' argument so much. you can make anything sound scary if you want. 'oh you want to mutilate your newborn child's body by getting them life-saving heart surgery?' amazing.
I agree, these dummies are all against “mutilation” yet I’d put money that they’d probably still circumcise their kids.
Except your not ripping its heart out.
If you support immaturity decisions like this I'll have you know it's a coin toss on whether they'll kill themselves once they do mature
@@recentrogue can you... proofread? I don’t even know what argument you’re making.

@@recentrogue are you trying to say gender affirmation surgery has a 50% chance of suicide after?
I don’t know why they think anyone that isn’t trans would want to have surgeries? It’s obviously not a choice. I’m gay and knew I liked girls since 7 years old. I had no internet and lived in a conservative town. It’s not a choice.
i cannot explain the pure JOY i get when my trans ass sees that samantha uploaded :]

Time for a grammar lesson, the word "phobia" comes from the Greek "Phobos" meaning to fear, we're not afraid of trans people, we just don't want you indoctrinating our kids with your stupidity
