Ikr! It seems harder than understanding rocket science well as you need to pull of pixel-perfect jumps and precise timing to the nearest frame (!) and even doing some glitches like wall-jumps and shell-jumps.
Damn, It's impressive how the difficulty of tool assisted speedruns has increased on pit hacks after all this time, since Item Abuse... 8 years ago. Great job man !
Definitely an enjoyable hack. It reminds me a lot of Item Abuse 3, particularly in the first Yoshi room, and the vertical room with shells and the boss fight, but I can't even call it a ripoff. I was thinking it would be easier than Item Abuse 3, but after seeing a lot of ridiculous shell jumps I was wrong! It's the same difficulty in my opinion. I don't know if there are breaks thus far, but I should try this in the future! Also, I want to make a pit hack and it'll be the most beautiful pit hack in existence!
Amazing!!! :) Thanks for playing / TASing! It's a pleasant surprise to see someone else finally pulling that off. I know TASing this isn't a very fun experience at some points and can get you to the edge of madness... But in the End, it all pays off with an very satisfying TAS Video. Even though 5 seconds doesn't seem like a big improvement at first, it actually IS a big time save in a Hack like this! :) Man, you really got some good discipline and dedication right there! Again, Thanks for playing this hell of a game and have a nice start into 2020! ;) You definitely made my Day!
Dawn and Rainbow Man: I updated. Feel free to report errors or to request new runs in the blog comments amaraticando.blogspot.com/2016/11/snes-super-mario-world-list-of-pit.html
Hello, I want to do you a VERY BIG favor, is that I have the version of SNESx9 v 1.51, and many times it desynchronizes ... Is there a solution? :( is that I want to do a TAS, and I know how to do TAS but I just want to correct that error :( and so I can do TAS quiet :). Oh, and can you tell me how you do the jump on the wall? is that I see that many TASers do it in the pit roms, and I can not do it very often xD, (sorry for my bad English) and just that, well ... see you :)
Hey, i used to TAS with Snes9x v 1.51 a very long time ago. I also experienced some desynchronisations with this emulator, sadly... I dont know from where it comes. :/ I can only suggest you to TAS with Snes 9x 1.43-rr or something like LSNES. Oh, and about the walljumps: You can use .lua scripts in Snes 9x 1.43. One of those scripts shows you when you are at the exact speed to walljump. Not going in too much detail now, but you can try it yourself :) Link for the script here (you need to click on the block you want to walljump): github.com/zachzoeller/smw-tas/tree/master/lua The one with the walljump is "smwblockinfo.lua". The other one is about basic information (position in subpixels, sprites count etc.) EDIT: I just found an TAS editor online. I havent tried it yet. With this tool you could fix the desync of youre .smv File (the TAS). Link: sourceforge.net/projects/tas-editor/
Ah and, how do you use snes9x v 1.43 because, i download it, but i can't put slow velocity and the frame advance.. i alone can do the pause... i think that is much but ok. Bye.
It was VERY stressful to TAS/play this game and it took alot of time. But all of this stress and madness finally payed off when turned into a very satisfying Video. I think it's more of an Entertainment to watch it, not stress. ^^
what is the secret of jumping through 1 block gap between munchers. I've been getting more and more interested in playing pit hacks with lua scripts this is one of the things I still can't do
You mean like at 1:27? I guess there is no secret trick, i think its just precision. You need to stay at one specific height range as long as you can, and this height should be exactly between those two munchers (Well, i guess that's kinda obvious). Same time you want to have a high x speed: If your x speed is fast, you don't have to stay in this height for so long. So its just Y alignment: You enter with low UPWARDS speed, then level to +-0, and then start to go to low DOWNWARDS speed again. Its just that this switch from ascending to descending (the +-0 moment) needs to happen near the middle of the obstacle. Like, exactly the middle of the munchers. Idk if that was accurate enough, but i hope it helps! EDIT: I just wanted to add: holding A or B while in the air makes your fall slower. So, when going through the obstacle, you definitely want to keep holding A or B constantly. It makes you stay longer in this height-range i have talked about earlier on.
Okay, umh, when i record 27000 or more frames, when i play the movie, all are good, but later, when it reach at 27k frames (more or less) the movie play the input as other way that i didn't hold... (sorry my english)
Also, as I mentioned in the hack's thread, feel free to submit PoI1 as well. I'm telling you here on YT because I noticed you didn't log in SMWCentral lately.
Hey! Do you mean the .smv file? If so, i already included it in the .zip File in my SMWCentral submission. =) You can replay it with SNES 9x v1.43 rr. And yes, i might also submit POI1. (hopefully still this year) Sorry about that, i have been a bit lazy the last days ^^'
No, because you sometimes will need to have the corrects inputs in every frame of a second, which means 60 times in one second... i dont think anyone has ever even pressed a single button this mich in one second. xD It's just too fast for a human
No not humanly possible. Way to many frame perfect tricks. Certain aspects of the levels are certainly possible but when you start wall jumping consecutively in the same spot over and over along with she'll jump mid airs and some of the other insanity that is going on. No not humanly possible
InxaneNinja I dont know the difference. TAS means Tool-Assisted Speedrun. So yeah, i used tools to finish the game. And i have done that as quick as i can. (but my priority was finishing)
"very hard" is a bit of an understatement if you ask me
Ikr! It seems harder than understanding rocket science well as you need to pull of pixel-perfect jumps and precise timing to the nearest frame (!) and even doing some glitches like wall-jumps and shell-jumps.
McGill University of the best 👦
Ttk
This
is
absolutely
insane
.
Kaizo makes Mario scale walls. That's a handycap.
Damn good stuff. I'm genuinely impressed by how well the items work together, especially that room at 2:55.
Just when I was starting to think it was possible for humans to have a conscience.
This is such a cool hack!

Genuinely the first hack that has impressed me in years. Also, might have gotten me to TAS again... Love this hack!
TheFinalBoss726 What about Super Puzzle World 3? Too lazy to finish it?
Ha.
Double shell jumps part looks so good :3
Soo... much.... wall clipping.... (faints due to awesomeness)
I'm TASing this now
here's my run: ruclips.net/video/A8cUXKxwQgk/видео.html

@whoskeev so this is your own hack? did anyone ever even try or accomplish to beat just one tiny section of it non-tas?
Nah, that's a beginner kaizo, my lil cousin did it first try (jokes out, this is incredible, watching those shells is so fun) 1UP
Never seen quite an insane play. Just like those videos showcasing an extremely complex glitch.
I'm certainly playing this after I finish Item Abuse. Great hack!
update your blog. A 5-Star rated pit-hack
Add the newest The Pit Level 2 runs to your blog. Thank you!
Dawn and Rainbow Man: I updated. Feel free to report errors or to request new runs in the blog comments
amaraticando.blogspot.com/2016/11/snes-super-mario-world-list-of-pit.html
I don't think that this can be beaten by a human
@@obthree2830 of course not. This, like item abuse and glitch abuse series, is pure TAS.
O cara é o mestre dos jogos barril 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm TASing this after I finish SAME Credits Warp
Slow. Clap. Your platforming skills are..... Immeasurable.
Perry Sy this has got to be tas
If not absolutely agree golf clap at minimum
Great homage to Item Abuse and Kaizo Mario World!
most satisfactory video ever
Oh wow ! Very impressive work !
looks cool, also wanna see who will be the second on YT to do it, wanna see how many re-record aswell lol
OMG, very good!
How many deaths did it take you to get it right for this video?
I had 74164 re-records, but i didn't die in all of those. But if i had to guess, probably like 15000 of those were deaths. Man, poor Mario!
"In Asia, this is just easy mode" lol
this is crazy nice hack :)
God? Is that you?!
Well played! :3

WhosKeev Thank you :)

And, what LUA emulator of scripts (i think that is the word because i am spanish..) would you recommend me?
But that is ok no problem hehe.
Immposible TAS
There is a god, and her name is KAIZO.
holy fuck, i️ genuinely thought item abuse 3 was the limit of how far pit hacks can go...
You should take a look at Colon Three, this is crazy too
What does TAS mean?
I don’t need this kind of stress going into2020 😬
It was VERY stressful to TAS/play this game and it took alot of time. But all of this stress and madness finally payed off when turned into a very satisfying Video. I think it's more of an Entertainment to watch it, not stress. ^^
Is this hack tas only?
i think is harder than item abuse 3,i will tas this XD

Deve está usando mod de vida infinita e super pulo no arcade ou no pc
Parabéns
Nice
item abuse 4
Shouldn't be too hard to do it non-TAS *kappa*
That's ridiculous
I'd call it pit of hell
I TASed it (not fastest completion)
ruclips.net/video/QHfZth9NXu4/видео.html&ab_channel=%E3%81%AF%E3%82%84%E3%81%84%E3%80%82TAS heres my run
Is this tas?
Yes it is
woah...
Can be passed without TAS? looks very nice
marioalarconsolis of course no
So, you need TAS to pass this because of difficulty?
marioalarconsolis hell yes, you can’t even do the first second of the level without it
99life on 1 world
I know this is literally impossible but I bet Larry the Cucumber from VeggieTales could do it
How the ****?!
looks kinda hard
What emulator you used?
Mr. Tomy I used SNES 9x v1.43-rr
Hello, i have a BIG problem, when i record at 27000 frames, the input do other things that i didn't record... why it happens?
And, did you use a script? Like... lua script or other
I dont fully understand the first question. And yes, i have used 2 .lua scripts and the RAM search tool in the Emulator.
Okay, umh, when i record 27000 or more frames, when i play the movie, all are good, but later, when it reach at 27k frames (more or less) the movie play the input as other way that i didn't hold... (sorry my english)
I didn't understand this part 0:00 - 6:51 😐
Hello! Can you please PM me the movie file in SMWCentral? I'm modding your hack there, and having access to the movie always helps.

Oh, I missed it somehow! Almost always those zips contain the hack + a 'read me', which trained my brain to always ignore the second file haha.
Was this tas
Yes
mario TAS XD
Is this a tas?
Obviously
is this humanly possible?
No, because you sometimes will need to have the corrects inputs in every frame of a second, which means 60 times in one second... i dont think anyone has ever even pressed a single button this mich in one second. xD It's just too fast for a human

Oh yeah and let's not forget the juggling and perfect p switch yumps.
is this a T A S or a tool-only
InxaneNinja I dont know the difference. TAS means Tool-Assisted Speedrun. So yeah, i used tools to finish the game. And i have done that as quick as i can. (but my priority was finishing)
