That young girl bully is not the same adult in that scene btw..
That’s not why the bullying occurred. She was vulnerable and poor and had no one to support her. That’s why she was victimized. Say whatever you want about appearance but that’s almost never the reason someone is bullied.
There are more than one reason, but with shorts you cannot post a video over a minute long. Hence why I have been working on a longer video about this very subject.
Before I published this video, I wrote in the description that classism plays a role. I acknowledged that Dong-eun (and So-hee) being poor means that it's even harder for them to advocate for themselves while the bullies can pay off their teachers + the police. But Yeon-jin was very obviously jealous of Dong-eun and So-hee and that factored into their poor treatment.
Thats not true that nobody is bullied for appearance but yes, here she very much says its because no one will help her and she wont eve have any consequenses because her family can get away with it
@@aishapalresa5605 Yes and I talked about classism in a longer video that isn't a RUclips short. That's the reason that Yeon-jin gave, and it is a big part of the equation, but I also noticed that she didn't bully unattractive men the same way she went for attractive women. Envy is often a big motivator in treating people poorly.

For one thing she was an easy target with no one who cared dor her. They already enjoyed torturing her so the guys thinking she was attractive made them jealous and the bullying worse. M SA her because she was an easy target making him feel powerful and he couldn’t get any of the other girls to be wiling to show him attention. For J he seemed more interested in watching her suffer then participating. Perhaps because of the other girls he doesn’t SA her. But he enjoyed watching her and believes he knew everything about her and she knew about him. It was not romantic per se but he had the idea they had a connection based on her fear and intimidation. Its worth noting the guys were happy to see her.

@@Cardboardwater Poverty is one factor, but she was also threatened by other beautiful girls both at school and at work. And if it only came down to pverty alone, then why didn't she target poor boys in the same way. She went out of her way to victimize three different girls, and the one who got the worst treatment was pregnant by the guy that she liked.
@@BrieCheese the glory was based on a true story, which was about a girl not a boy. There are plenty of boys who get bullied in Korea, even myeong oh to an extend when he’s an adult because he’s poor. Yeon Jin literally says it multiple times she can get away with it because no one is coming to save the protagonist. She picks on people because she can, looks don’t matter, and if u believe that they do you missed the point of the show.
