- TNT Amusements has restored yet another classic Atari Star Wars 1983 Arcade Video Game...the last major release using a special "vector" monitor, which creates color pictures with lines and dots. A perfect mix of sight and sound---true genius!
What no DoT T-moulding?? Don't tell me you run out... :p
Another great machine, well done guys. Playing the cockpit version of this back in the 80s was amazing as a kid.
skyway73 We liked the look of chrome T molding on this baby!! Gotta change it up sometimes!
Todd you should have played as Chewbacca in your video skits. You would have been a natural.
little foo man choo !... lol Todd.
for its time, that was a great video game.
John Smith Yes....that flustered Steven for sure!
Awesome restoration! Played this a ton at one of the arcades around here back in 1983. We had a retro arcade here in Louisville about 10 years ago that had this as well as Tempest and Black Widow but sadly they closed up shop.
These are unbelievably rare, and have been for over a decade. Great restoration, everything crisp, and functional.
We sited one, and it never truly worked. Trigger buttons..intermittent. Vertical tracking, also intermittent. Some days the screen wouldn't power up, but everything else did.
It got dumped at the end of 2 years. What a waste.
This should get a good price..
gallimead These sell for $2699 (this was sold---thats why we made the video!)
Rare? I've seen many over the last couple of years. They turn up on Craig's List quite often in California.
That Gorgar is looking good
dvddmc Its pretty nice now...but once someone orders it (its actually headed to the showroom), we will pretty her up!
am pretty sure you let people know its for sale on one of your vids it will go ^^

I'll send you a bottle of lovely Real Ale if you put Helloween's song "Gorgar" over the video where you show it off, together with a suitable greenscreen gag.
Todd, this is one of my favorite games from my teen years. I have been wondering about one thing... With the growing scarcity of replacement monitors, is it feasible to replace the vector monitor with an LCD? If so, would the the picture quality be as sharp? Thanks for all the gags, keep em coming.
Chris Kahl Nothing can ever replace the original vector monitor quite as well..in terms of clarity and super sharp brightness. The video camera can never pick up the detail of vector! Seeing it in person is so impressive!!
Was this available in a cockpit version? I feel I played a sit-down version of this game...
***** YES!! Watch our video of Richie Knucklez Arcade we posted a week ago to see the cockpit Star Wars! Tour of RICHIE KNUCKLEZ Classic Video Game ARCADE in New Jersey! TNT Amusements
Another fantastic job todd. Great game I was 7 when that came out. I remember entering the arcade and seeing it there. I walked past it and it said the force will be with you and I stopped dead in my tracks. It was the cockpit version. How I wish I had a time machine.
Tony Jefford Yes Tony...so many people have similar memories to a true great game! I will tell Nolan Bushnell that when I meet him at the Pinball Expo next week!
Do you have any videos where you specifically talk about your arcade history and arcade history in general? I'd love to see that you have a lot of insight.
I try to weave in tidbits into all these videos we post. I have not done a concentrated video yet...I was really holding off for a reality show to do that!
to the single person who thumb downed this. :P you know George Lucas loves parodies so that person must not be a star wars fan :(
Lee Bartholomew Just some unhappy person! Hopefully, they UNSUBSCRIBE!
That's a really cool looking game. Never got a chance to play one myself.
Riz2336 They are returning to classic arcades again!
The jumping around in the video works well with people like me with ADD. LOL
Mike Bradley Gotta keep people on edge!
Forget to mention Todd Chewy! So funny
skyway73 glad we made you laugh!!
Oh my God I laughed so hard at you with the mop on your head, hilarious!
Archyta5 Videos See! I can still make people laugh!

Todd, what is that little board for on the monitor chassis?
Wayne M The little one we replace runs the low voltage on that board...which was not designed well...and failed after so many hours. The new board takes the place of over a dozen larger parts, and so far, since we started using them 13 years ago, never go bad...AND the monitor we put them in doesn;t either! And I can also say, that I have reconditioned more of them than anyone in the country---so I can speak from experience!
I always wanted to see that 2 player tmnt.
uniroyalbarrie And, on Monday, you will!
Do you guys at TNT ever do em pinball machines?
Dylan Swanson We have only done a couple recently....a Pinball Wizard and another game I cannot remember---both videos are on this channel. We do not retail them...only do them for local customers.
TNT Amusements Inc i'll make sure to check those videos out, thanks for responding!
this video is sheeeeer class just terrific, I ran star wars for 260 shows when I was in the cinema industry and admit, I am sick to death of it, but this is just GREAT, keep em coming.
alan p But I will bet you miss that part of your life!! I managed a theater for a summer in the very early 80's and it was just terrific.
TNT Amusements Inc Hi Todd, do I miss it? I was projectionist for nearly 20yrs, real film, non of the digi, stuff, on days off, I would go and run other cinemas, yes, I eat and breath the game, drives head office nuts, but she don't understand, once in the blood that's IT! bless her. broke my heart leaving.
alan p Yes...I loved running the Theater at Temple University Student Activites Center for 8 or more years! I found out 9 months ago that a relative of mine got the patent on the "Cue Marks" for reel changes! He invented the system! I am planning on doing a video on this dying art of reel changes!
TNT Amusements Inc wow. I am impressed , I miss real changes, cant wait for the vid. would it be possible to give me a mentch? that would make an old hands day.
LOL
***** We had alot of fun making this!
so the Ebola patient passes on, Franks sick and our neighbors with the cutest dogs (one hound) around were from um Texas ... I'm not sick yet. Lee Bartholomew Frank is very ill...he has to get an emergency operation for two hernias...
