For all I agree with you that they are successful , don’t act like none of these teams have spent money. Success has always had financial backing. Even the ‘Class of 92’ was propped up by Keane, who was a British Record Transfer fee when he was bought. Liverpool spent fortunes in the 80’s at the time. This is the problem, half of the villa fans are thick. I’m a villa fan but I have no idea why some blokes come on talking about being a founding club. Imo, that doesn’t make you a big club. That just meant you had good timing. Besides the point, we’re miles bigger than West Ham. We have won 20 major titles and West Ham have won 4. Ours include the league (x7) and the Champions league. They haven’t won either. Their talk about stadium capacity - what a load of shite. They got that stadium because it was made for the olympics. They didn’t even build the damn thing. What is the way to measure which club is bigger then the other? Even when presented with facts to use, they are put into context that supports the one saying it, or arguing against it. Its a topic brought up when Talk Sport wants to try and create debate & have people call in. How many comments written are not from West Ham or Aston Villa fans? Also back then only 1 club got in the EC so you had teams of real pedigree in the UC and usually the ECWC. Now you can qualify by coming 7th or winning a fair play league.

West Ham can’t speak to Villa when it comes to trophies 🏆, History or league finishes. West Ham has a bigger stadium only because of the Olympics + it’s a free stadium. The only 2 things they have is they’re a London team and have a better culture with the east end
Villa have one decent season & think they're world class & then they bring up trophies they won before most of them were even born. West Ham won a tinpot third rate tournament that was created so small clubs like them can win something in Europe. Both Villa & West Ham are small clubs & have been small for a very long time.
I think you can in West Ham’s case simply because they’ve had a ways above average success in the domestic cups. Also fanbase and time accumulated in the top flight. Obviously nowhere near bigger than Villa but still a big club I’d say
Thing is, you have to define what a big club is before you have the argument. If, for instance, you define a big club by how many seats they sell every week and how successful they’ve been in the last 5 years then yeah, you’d probably say that West Ham are bigger. If, however, you define a club by what they’ve won through the entirety of their history then West Ham are not even in the same galaxy as Villa. Always depends on how you view it.

If, however, you define a club by what they’ve won through the entirety of their history then West Ham are not even in the same galaxy as Villa. Always depends on how you view it.

No bigger than west ham? 🤣
@@hair6789they're not Chelsea were smaller than Leyton Orient before russian money
@@waynephillips3234 Yeah they " were " Lmfao. Im not even a Chelsea fan mate, but Chelsea have two UCLS in their trophy cabinet whilst West Ham have 0 in theirs.
Chelsea have 24 trophies in 21 years maybe not big before money but definitely are massive now
@@Jason6369gaming they are not big they are a fake club with fake trophies lol
I mean you could use the names of both clubs to compare the pair. It's literally like saying a christmas ham is more valuable than a villa in the Bahamas.
Isn't this the guy that was cottaging, and meeting men in bushes? 😂😂😂
😂😂
Why was this even a debate?
No doubting it..Villa are historically a bigger club having said that I think they had won 80% of their trophy haul before West Ham United we even formed....fan base wise West Ham is bigger than villa...and as a world brand also bigger so in this modern day I say West Ham Is bigger than villa.
Fun fact: west ham has substantially more fans in the british isles than man City will ever have 😂
That's one of the rubbish statements ever. There's 0 westa fans in manchester
I’ve never seen a West Ham fan outside London
That’s why we have way more followers on social media hahah
@@environm3ntalist549 Wherever you go in this world you will meet West Ham fans.
not my experience, having travelled and lived extensively@@philip013
