Frustrated with their conning sales conversion by sales and engineers.
I exposed all their scams to their higher people about scamming on customers and even sales people scamming their own company by stealing network cable and selling outside and giving false information,...etc,...
Even higher ups covered all issues and demanded me an explanation, so I just simply quit the job. Fun part was Not a single person higher ups also had no knowledge about fiber network fully

The question you asked about the pair cables
Because of 2 major reasons typically we use 4 pair cables ,
    1. Speed :
2 pair cables will support only fast ethernet(10/100Mb/ps)
4 pair cables will support (10/100/1000Mb/ps)
    2. PoE(Power over Ethernet): there are no separate cables for PoE so we have to use the 4 pair cable for data. Ideally power 2 pairs for power and 2 pairs for data.
In home router connect typically we don't need 4 pair cables because it will support only fast ethernet and will have a dedicated power supply
    I hope it helps

router மட்டும் வெச்சி Wireless Extenderரா Configure செஞ்சிருந்தாலே 30 - 40 Mbps கிடைக்கும் (Which is enough for daily tasks) No need of Ethernet cable, tools etc. 800ல வேல முடிஞ்சிருக்கும்.
Also the ACT cable You have shown is Fibre optic cable that doesn't work as the technician said, You need Ethernet cable both are different . If you want to extend with Fiber optic cable, You need a router with ONU port
ready made Ethernet cables are available. A good quality 15 metres Ethernet cable can be bought for 300 online

As usual very good DIY content & love your efforts. Some suggestions. Cat 6 cable will help to shield against all the intereference and use the other leads to power cameras or other devices. They're expensive than Cat 5E because of these additional shielding properties. And D-Link is a average device. As the device ages you'll see connection drops and firmware issues. Stick to NetGear or TP-Link based routers which are bit expensive but very robust. And in your setup, you'll have 2 Wifi SSID because of 2 different routers and you've to switch manually when you move to first floor / ground floor. There are Mesh routers in the market which are meant to tackle these signal issues, and these multiple units talk to each other and maintain the same SSID and you don't have to manually switch between them. you can start with a 2 unit mesh. Remember how much ever these router companies and ISP's market about signal strength in wifi, when you move to another room with a concrete wall in between, there will be signal drop and drop in wifi speed. If you're very particular about speeds, you've to stick to LAN based connections for PC and stick to Wifi for mobile alone.

    HI bro,
We only need a cable with two pairs for 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps Ethernet. However, if you plan to use gigabit Ethernet, you will need all four pairs of the cable to achieve a higher data rate. The extra pairs are also used for power-over-Ethernet (PoE) applications, where the same cable can deliver both data and power to devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points. For PoE, we use a device called a PoE switch.

Hi I’m watching all your videos and all are informative. You may noticed I recent subscribed your channel 😊. I’m looking for internet connection at my village ( 80 kms away from Chennai) where no internet service provider available. Inside home I can get only single bar at designated area without internet. After watching your video, I have two questions.
    1) Is there any way to boost mobile signals inside home? If so what gadgets I need to buy to increase the signals and get better signal receipt inside home? I attempted several times with airtel and even officially wrote mail that I can contribute to setup booster at my home. But they are not ready for that. They simply replied we have increased frequency at the nearest tower and we will consider to setup new towers during future expansion.
    2) I found Airtel signal is very good at the 2 floor terrace and thought if any modem available with SIM slot to setup at second floor terrace and extend it the way you brought it to your ground floor.
Pls throw some lights with best possible way to bring internet at my home.

Remaining 4 cables can be used to pin either USB or POE or for Telephone, I appreciate your efforts for bringing this video but the way you crimped the wire may lead to mistake in colour coding in this video the ultimate purpose of taking measurement double the size of RJ45 pin has become useless as you have cut the extra cable before you have crimped it, in order to make sure about the colour coding you have to leave the cable pass through the RJ45 pin, so that you double check the colour coding before you are crimping and when you crimp the RJ 45 by this method any extra wire that came through the pin will come off as soon as it is crimped, so this method will ensure that there is no mistake has been made before crimping 😊

@engineeringfacts I think you created an extension of your current WiFi (a new SSID), which means you have to reconnect between SSIDs (upstairs and downstairs). I think the new router supports Access Point mode. Which means you will have the same SSID and when you move from upstairs to downstairs and vice versa, the device will automatically connect to the strongest WiFi signal. I had the same issue and I setup using 2 TPLink Archer C5 routers.

Assalamu alaikum bro. Please use a mesh router. It will ensure you're getting coverage all around your home. You may need to place 2 routers. One on the ground and another on the first floor. It will give coverage to every corner. Or if you have any old router then you can place that in the ground floor and another one provided by the ISP in first floor.
