Okay, that was fun! And really useful! I think the moral to the story for this episode is “show a guitar player a lick, and they will rock in one key; show them how that cool lick works, and they can rock in any key.” Thank you Damian!
Yeah, another great lesson! I used Double Stops without thinking about the Name of their tones or scales or something. Now I'm a bit smarter, thank you!
Great lesson! I like how you broke down some of the theory behind how to choose which double stops to play when and where. This information is so empowering! Great wise words at the end too! Thank you for what you do!
Well done, Damian! This is the first time I have seen you playing something other than a Gretsch . . . regardless of the guitar, your sound is a good one.
Thank you, Damian! Really enjoyed the playing like always. Also, the inspiring words at the end are always a God send! God Bless and see you in another video down the road!
Happy New Year to you and your family. The Tele you played in this lesson sounded great, and so did you! Thanks of sharing your knowledge, always good stuff!
The pick toss at : 0:27 got an actual lol from me 😂 Another great riff to add to my arsenal. Love All of these videos... The intro, explanation, then slowing it down with tabs is a perfect training tool. You seem like just a chill dude... Thanks for the channel man, keep it up
Valuable lesson! thanks! Would you consider analyzing Let the Boy Rock& Roll by the Loving Spoonful? It sounds like it contains tons of rocking double stops! and Rockabilly technique also
So much fun this pic shoot at the end of the performance ! I m gonna buy you dvd , maybe the jumpblues i think ! No problem for international shipping? I m in France
Nice less Damian, thanks for sharing it with us. You are a super positive presence on RUclips. I had a technical question about playing this piece. You seem to be swinging pretty freely with your strumming hand, but am not hearing any adjacent strings ringing out, other than the intended diads. What is your muting technique?
Thank you for watching the lesson. When I play those double stops I'm not using any muting. My pick is just targeting the two strings only. I'd suggest to keep at it and try and target the intended strings only. It's a common struggle with many players so don't feel discouraged in any way. With practice you'll get it. Cheers & keep on rockin' :)
@@Damianblf Wow, that is impressive and not what I thought you were going to say. I struggle to hit the interior strings (e.g. G & B) without inadvertently contacting the string below. But I really hate left hand muting :) You've inspired me. Thanks for taking the time to reach out.
Thank you. The Pistols are one of my favorite bands. I think I was in 9th grade or so when I first started listening to them. Cheers & keep on rockin' :)
You are the most wholesome guitarist on youtube. You teach all my favorite styles in an a super clear and easy way too.
Thank you so much for watching. Cheers & keep on rockin' :)

Nice lesson and nice tele. What model is that?
Thank you. It's a Fender MIM 60th Anniversary Telecaster :)
Very great ! Do you use flatwound strings?
Thank you. I do on some of my guitars but this Tele is strung with roundwounds.
@@Damianblf thank ! You have a great tone!
Cool.

Just noticed your lesson, nice surprise...also Sex Pistols were fantastic!! They are legitimate band, best of their contemporary punks lol.

Nice Pistols T-Shirt there. They would only play triple stops, though.
