That first shot of the pelicans was one of my favorite shots I’ve seen ever.

I really needed to see this right now, thank you (especially the bit about failing 🤔). Beautiful footage too 🥰

Thanks! It's a Ronford-Baker Atlas 40 Fluid Head. Buttery smooth! But very pricey. It's over £10k, just for the head.

@@documentaryfilmacademy Thanks for the reply. I've reached the stage where I need to up the game on my head and sticks, [My rig is 15Kg atm, and I'd like to move up to a CN 30-300mm as well ] so I pay a lot of attention to what people are using their rigs on. Once again, thanks for the info. Al.

Great to hear you’re moving to the next level! We’re currently developing a wildlife filmmaking course, set to release in the second half of this year, where we’ll share our different long lens filming setups, plus lots of other helpful wildlife filmmaking tips. In the meantime, I’d recommend a solid pair of baby legs for a low centre of gravity-perfect for filming animals. Romford Baker tripods are excellent, and you can often find them second-hand on eBay. I’d also suggest heavier metal tripods over carbon fibre for added stability.

OMG carrying your baby over your shoulder at 7:05, I'd need....well I'd need something....perhaps a big insurance package.

Yes! 😆 Hamza is always carrying his camera like that. His camera setup is not light, but he’s very careful with it when he’s on location.
