He's 23 now but competing on top level since he was 19. For goalkeeper is early start. He's still growing and maturing as a footballer. He will be even better then he is now.

Yahya ahmad Every team has bad years. Manchester United has been the one of most successful clubs in the past 2 decades. Remember Barcelona 2000 - 2003 when they had 3 horrible consecutive seasons. Same with Bayern Munich and Real at a time. Old Trafford will rise again.

It made me cringe tbh, not because of Suarez but becade of DDG. If that was Schmeichel or Neurer they would've imposed the opponent, make their presence felt, show their authority, intimidate the striker. De Gea is such a calm guy, wish he could be a leader more often.

At the same age, buffon was already catching those kind of shots instead of just parrying them. That's the big difference in potential between a good gk and a world class gk.
***** thats true. But if u look at buffon even while he was still at parma.. he was making diving saves while holding onto the ball to keep possession. It takes a lot of confidence and an extremely high level of handling to be doing that since most keepers would take the safe option of just punching or parrying the ball away. And it was especially at the time when the italian league was the strongest in the world and he was saving shots from world class players like vieri, shevchenko, inzaghi, montella, crespo etc. week in and week out.
Some players peak earlier. Either way Neuer wasn't considered world class till he was like 26, De Gea still has ton of potential
