I’m in shock at the timing of this. I was feeling so incredibly defeated and disappointed in myself today because of something awful that happened. I’ve been crying my eyes and just feeling awful. Seeing this video really touched me and resonated with me. Thank you for posting this. It was beautifully worded and just what I needed to hear!

This quote also represents the vision from Simba's father: 'Oh yes, the past can hurt. But from the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it' ~Rafiki
Keep on making these video's Samuel, love them!

Thank you for posting this video.
It unlocked something inside of me, something I haven’t expressed.
    I’m scared.
You see, I just found out that I’m going to be a dad. And like you this is one of my favorite movies, but never viewed it from the perspective of a father.
I realize now why I’m scared. I’m scared I won’t be as great as my dad, much like how caring and strong Mufasa was to Simba.
I don’t feel ready to leave a life of Hakuna Matata.
I wanted this, but everything is hitting me all at once. I know It’s coming and as scary as it is, I can’t and won’t avoid being a father to the best of my ability, even if it means a life of constant worry.

Really great video, I definitely have a lot of things to learn from this video. However, I might just act as a devil's advocate for this one. Surely, it's harder to pursue a lifestyle of hakuna matatta. Like eliminating your job and having an enjoyable lifestyle. Everyone around us live very similar lifestyles, they plug into a job, take so called 'responsibility,' and have a 30 year mortgage that binds them to a job they do not like. I think we can kind of get caught up in this 'purpose' thing and then end up in our jobs stuck to 30-year mortgages doing something we probably don't care about. Like surely, if you have one life, you wouldn't want to spend it working 9 - 5, you would do what you wanted to do, like travel, start a family and utilise the time you have on earth to do things that make you content. Like you only get this one moment in existence; you never exist again, why would you waste you time, so called chasing some made-up purpose, a younger version of yourself devised? Like when we see who's really behind our goals and ambitions it's probably just some little kid version of you telling you to do something. There are also probably counter arguments to this as well, like if you have a purpose or a job then perhaps you're in the state of flow, therefore you have happiness. However, when I ask the people around me if they're living a lifestyle they want to they say no and that they would quit their jobs in an instant if they had the money. I'm sure the things I talk about are more nuanced than this and I don't know all the answers, so definitely something to explore for each one of us. Anyways, have a great day and really enjoyed the video. Thanks.

One of the things I love about this movie, which I don't see many people mention: In Simba's I Want song, "I Just Can't Wait to be King", he gives a list of all the things he thinks await him when he becomes king, and the reasons why he can't wait for it.
"No one sayin 'DO THIS!', No one sayin 'BE THERE!', No one sayin 'STOP THAT!', No one sayin 'SEE HERE!', Free to run around all day, Free to do it all my way!"
He finds ALL of these things in the Hakuna Matata lifestyle. So when he returns to Pride Rock, he's essentially walking away from the very notions that made him want to be king in the first place. Because he's finally realized what it truly means to be Mufasa's son.

Great video Samuel, I love the Lion King, the only sad thing is that Disney is incapable to create a villain that is not based on having facial differences, and on top of that they name him, Scar. I wonder why they can't be creative enough to not have to rely on a villain that always have facial or body differences. SMH

I came across this video and felt so called to watch it - as I saw the animated (2019) version only 3 days ago.
And the way you put it is really inspiring. I find your videos very appealing and they make one wanting to watch more to find out more about your viewpoints... And the great thing is that it feels great to see how there are some realizations I had through my early life which resonate with what you say.
So I already want to thank you for your precious content and all that you are about to share with us.
    Thank you so much :)
I believe you can inspire many people who so far did not even come across your profile but one day will. You have a lot to say, that's for sure. The beauty of life lies in the unique personalities and souls we come across that offer us the possibility to get to know new insights and perspectives on life.
I wanted to speak about inspirational things on my social media as well and that is why I was searching for the right iPad that offers me the possibility to edit and animate videos and pictures and also shoot some content (with a sufficiently good camera as for tiktoks, aesthetic reels etc) - as I was searching for best comparisons of budget iPads I felt like the pro 2 10.5" would be a good choice but then I started hesitating because I asked myself for how long I can use that one as it is not sure for how long it is supported (so that I can uss editing apps etc that might need updates once and then and so I will need to install the never iOS software updates)
Your profile has helped me quite a lot, after watching many other videos comparing different iPad (also older models with newer ones) but that one question of how long I can use a iPad Pro 2 10.5" is still on my mind and makes it hard to decide whether to invest in a refurbished one. Because the Air 4 is allegedly good as well (also regarding the camera quality) but for a completely different price (even an refurbed one)
I also wanted to ask you how you manage to have the scenes from the film so that it is legal to post them? Do you have to buy the film or also the copyright which, I suppose, costs more than the price of the film only.

I got to agree with you this movie is my number 1 favourite too and I have watched it over a hundred times, some parts even more. As a kid, I felt very connected to Simba and now having even done an assignment understanding the behavioural characters of the lions and their fellow friends, it resonates with me even more. Hakuna Matata for me is our comfort zone and being the life Simba finally chooses had thorns and all but in the end, he is at his maximum peak. He had to face his mother feeling guilty for murdering Mufasa, but he did, and eventually, the truth came out. Living with guilt made him renounce who he is and even his love. I am excited to see the new Mufasa movie as I am a diehard fan. "You Have Forgotten Who You Are And So Have Forgotten Me. Look Inside Yourself, Simba. You Are More Than What You Have Become."
    - Mufasa (This makes me strive harder in life as I know what my limits are. Very great Video Samuel, I'm glad I have discovered your channel.
