Spandau Ballet are one of Britain’s great iconic bands having sold over 25 million records, scored numerous multi-platinum albums and amassed 23 hit singles across the globe since their humble beginnings as a group of friends with dreams of stardom in the late 1970s. It wasn’t long before they became fully-fledged members of the iconic Blitz Club scene and established themselves as one of the super-groups of the 80s.
The band's classic line-up features brothers Gary and Martin Kemp on guitars, vocalist Tony Hadley, saxophonist Steve Norman and drummer John Keeble.
After two decades apart, the band reformed in 2009, embarking on a sold-out tour. In 2014 the band released a critically lauded documentary film ‘Soul Boys Of The Western World’ and returned to the studio recording three new tracks 'Steal', 'Soul Boy' and 'This Is The Love' for the anthology 'The Story'. ‘
This has been followed by the ‘Soulboys Of The Western World’ world tour wowing crowds and critics alike with the band making rapturous returns for the first time in 25 years to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and parts of mainland Europe.

As an old fan of Spandau Ballet I think this is one of their best song. So underrated, this should have been transmitted on the radio over and over instead of modern "music". I want to remember them together like in this song, full of serenity like the peace inside this song.

did you the interview with him and steve norman?this guy is a friend of martin kemp,just about says all,the kemps do it again,they are on a winner either way,if it fails they still have the cash,if it is a winner they get more cash.They have not sold out hammersmith odeon yet,only holds about 3,000,you can buy 20 tickets in each transaction,not great.
just watched the videos from the Italian gigs with Ross. It doesn't sound and look like Spandau Ballet at all. This must be the end of a fantastic, classy band. I'm glad I can still go to one of Tony's solo gigs.

Caught them in the Bay Area two weeks ago at a great venue. Their last performance on their American tour. They were terrific, and when they performed "Steal" it was my first time hearing it. Ready made classic, and I keep replaying it. I hope they stay at it, produce a few more albums, and continue touring.
I am so jealous. I was to young the first time round to experience Spandau Ballet. I met the guys in New York City in late 2014. I missed their 2015 concert there (despite having tickets) since I had to fly overseas for a family occasion. I had no idea that would be my last opportunity to watch the five of them together. "Steal" is a personal favorite and hands down their best song since the "Parade" album.
So happy to see the boys back together! Missed them and their music. This is a "true" Spandau song!

We had the pleasure of seeing the band in Auckland in 2015 and so good. It was so good to see Tony Hadley with the crew.

They toured in 2015 in the States. But, there were only shows in the east and west coasts, and Chicago, I believe. I had to travel from Texas to California to see them. Was totally worth it!

What an amazing song. I have not heard Spandau Ballet in many years. They and I were in our late teens/ early 20’s when I heard “True” which is a classic. Now hearing “Steal” brings back memories. If my wife was still alive she would have loved this song. Rest In Peace my love (in Arlington National Cemetery buried 2014). She is now with our Father above. And you are about to hear our story in late 2020.

I stumbled on his song, a little while ago and can't get it out of my head I've always been a spandau fan and Tony's voice coupled with Gary's lyrics and the band still great and this song haunts me in the nicest of ways, to my suprise i saw Gary out with his kids at Warwick Castle a couple of weeks ago, I had a strange sense of knowing someone since my teens almost as a close friend but as a total stranger. I randomly stopped him and just said "thanks for the lyrics Gary" as their songs mile mark some great years and memories. cheers lads
