Hi o have brand new isuzu dmax this week with motor 4jk1 , i get just this code p0500 …A . The car has no vss on transmission what you think is the problem
It varies between vehicles, but there is usually a speed sensor at the wheels and transmission. Sometimes, they are internal and have names like input shaft speed sensor and output shaft speed sensor. It is best to get a diagram for your specific vehicle to know for sure.
I sprayed silicone oil on the wheels front and back to test if it would lubricate the wheels, after that automatic transmission mode (it's a semi auto) was turned off and now I drive it like a manual by using gear paddles, but the car still downgears automatically when slowing down. The error code is P0500, speed information is wrong or absent. But the speed is still shown as usual on the speedometer, so I dont know if maybe 1 out of 4 ABS wheel speed sensors went blocked by silicone dioxide or if the spray mist traveled to speed sensors on the gearbox? The car also showed once, P0868 ("Oil pressure defect fault. Oil pressure too low", which could mean low transmission oil level) and P1755 ("Clutch actuator control position fault. Clutch jammed". I read it could mean low actuator hydraulic fluid), but these two other codes maybe are a consequence of problem with speed sensor?
Thanks for the info, I have trouble with the Speedometer fault code PO500, all the sensors are good, new one's at the front, did not look at the rear yet if they are in the right place because, they have 12V and sensor had 680 Ohm, when I control them. Do you have a solution to this problem? The Abs control was disconnected when I bought this car. Greetings Frank.
Well, I cleaned the rear sensors, did not help, but one moment the Speedometer and gas were normal and then it was gone. Looks like something is lose. I have now extra PO704 code, but I think it is the gaspendal that is wrong.@@HVAC_Mechanic
whenever i am driving my speedometer is not working but when ive reached 30-40km the aircon will stop and the speedometer will work at the same time what causing the problem on my chevy colorado
Hello, I made the mistake of taking my Subaru to the dealer after I got a P0500 code. They came back saying that the Front Right ABS Wheel Speed Sensor was bad. They wanted $450 to replace it. I said no and picked up the car. Bought my own sensor and replaced it myself. Tried to clear the Check engine Light and my scanner can't clear it. Any solutions?
Be sure it's the right sensor; they can be easy to mix up. Right/left can mean different sides of the car, depending on the person. There is also often a speed sensor on the transmission. If it is the right sensor, I would test them with a scan tool while moving and also check the wiring and tone rings.
That is a good idea, but I should have worded that differently. Basically, people often mix up which side of the vehicle is left or right and change out the wrong sensor. So be sure it's the right one.
@@HVAC_Mechanic Double checked my work, made sure I had the correct part# (I did) and still check engine light on. Going to check the resistance on the sensors with a multimeter. The meter I have has 5 settings (2000k, 200k, 20k, 2000, 200). Which one do I set it on? I'm a newbie with a multimeter.

@HVAC_Mechanic Problem was Kabel cut thanks
2015 chevrolet spark manual transmission vehicle speed sensor location? Could it be a fuse? Bad battery?

If the speed sensor is good, I would check the wiring next.

I removed the Gaspedal but non repaireble, it's welded together, pity. Maybe the big Abs connector is false.@@HVAC_Mechanic

@@HVAC_Mechanic I'll double check the part#'s on the new and old sensor to make sure they match.. Thanks
