You have taught me so much, and I really appreciate you and your experience. I recently lost ,Michael, my life partner. With fear of the future, and how I was going to support myself. Almost by accident, I found myself watching thrifting videos. That is where I met you.
I decided to stick my tow in the water, and have sold several items, on Marketplace. After I purchase a new car, I would like to travel to Landcaster. Hopefully, I will run onto you.
So, now I am in my own home and beginning my new career reselling.
Again Karen, I want to thank you for all you have taught me. You have also made me believe I can really make it on my own.

I've sold motorcycle parts on eBay since October 2013, but after I started watching your channel I created a separate eBay store and started going to thrift stores and garage sales and buying housewares and other things like you do. I've learned a lot about clothing and hard goods watching you and have been pretty impressed with the results. For example, I sold a ceramic greyhound statue I found at Goodwill for over $100 that I only paid $5 for. This new store is only a fraction of my six-figures parts business so far, but I only devote about 15 hours a month to it so the profit to time ratio is very high. You're a real sweetheart, Karen! Blessings to you!

what has been really frustrating for me is the thrift stores in my area ( wayne nj) are very expensive and not very large. I try to buy but there is not much room to be competitive. I learn from your videos but just cant snag things for the prices you find. I finally found one thrift that has prices like the stores in your area ( they tell me I am their best customer) but now it is closed for the summer. Im thinking of maybe doing thrift stores in the PA area but driving an hour and half just to shop a store is really gagging me. I think a lot of success and supply is very regional and some parts of the country are absolute honey holes while other parts are barren like a desert.

Great video, I wish my goodwill was as big and crowded. The teapot floral glass paperweight isn’t millefiori. The word means thousand flowers, so it’s the glass with countless tiny flowers made with bundles of glass rods cut at a cross section to create the intricate millefiori designs. The teapot may be a ring holder and looks a lot like a St Claire piece who made similar designs. May see the mark which is usually stamped into the bottom on the pontil mark but can be really lightly impressed and tough to make out.

Speaking to a Mgr of my local GW he informed me that their refuse removal price has increased therefore the price of goods has. He told me that someone came with a truck load, said it was good stuff and it all had to go in the garbage. Some Goodwills are now looking things over before they even take anything.

People have a strange idea of what is good stuff. I guess they dont want to pay whatever the dump fee is. I have all those gene florence books. They are not only price guides but looking at the pictures can teach you a ton about glass pieces, shapes, sizes, makers, colors and so much more. There is no book you describe.

What a great video Karen! Always enjoy your hunts but this one was especially good, I learned so much! I was going back and forth checking prices on some of your items and you did great! Will have to keep an eye out for the Pulitzer and Cuddledown (the Pulitzer website pictures are so beautiful, I may have to get some of her lavender infused booties), and the prices you paid, wow! Our prices went up after they opened up but it seems to me that one store, unfortunately the one closest to me, is even higher, like "most coffee cups .99 cents unless otherwise marked". NONE of them were 99 cents the last time I was in and one cute cup that I would have bought even at the higher price was so horribly stained I brought it up to the cashier who immediately put it aside. it was disgusting! not sure how that got by someone. Anyhow, great video, as always! Glad you had a good trip and raring to go again, I felt the same after 4 days on the CA beach!

I can't believe you had to pay extra! New items being put out on the floor - ok. Items already on the floor and price should be sold for the amount marked (or of course lower😏) charging you more for things already priced and in your cart is just tacky.

Your GW is so full of stuff! The ones near me are usually pretty good, but last week I went to 3 local GW stores and all 3 looked like they just stopped stocking the shelves. Maybe there have been a lot of shoppers and they are clearing the shelves. I know at least 1 of the 3 was putting out stuff all week because I stopped in that 1 three or four times last week (the UPS store is next door!) and they were constantly bringing out shelves of stuff the entire time I was there.

Hi Karen, you definitely are showing that you are refreshed from your vacation! Good for you! I’m so glad that you had such a lovely time. Love that Lily Pulitzer duvet cover, you should sell that quickly. That Goodwill is such a large one, around here they are so small. You said yes to cats! I think that cats are always a great bet. I have sold every cat item I have ever had, lol. Cheers Karen, Happy Fourth! Pat

Hi Karen I am glad you had a great vacation! No one the subject of the date and the guitarist, I thought you were going to say he was a Surfer because you just finished saying you were swimming a lot on vacation! LOL (I am kidding!). Great haul ---that Lilly Pulitzer fabric is gorgeous. Her fabrics are always high-quality and polished cotton too!

I love your Goodwill stores. The ones where I am are so small, especially the hard goods section. It makes it difficult to acquire enough items to sell but I try.

The books that you had are how I learned about glassware as it was before the internet was in every home. I still use my books to this day and buy them when they are cheap and it is one I do not have. Google lens is really helpful but does not always work. I enjoy your videos.

Rocks are really a craft thing, people buy rocks to paint them. My daughter gives them to me painted from a present. Those two rocks were a good size for that.

Thrifting Vegas/Tiffany Uses a black dry eraser marker and cotton balls to get Permanent Marker off of items like the Lefton Kitties...She demonstates in a fairly recent video. Works amazingly well!! Just a little FYI😉 Love your videos💜

The plate that you found has the letter A (Ա) written on the back in Armenian. The Armenian quarter makes the most beautiful pottery. Armenians have been in Jerusalem since the beginning of time. Great find.

Great vid!! Great scores! I’m in central Pennsylvania and our goodwills are raising prices constantly soon. It actually makes me angry when I pick up something overpriced.
Community Aid Harrisburg is worse! They tried selling a pair of birds (figurines) for $5.99. I turned them over and they were both from dollar tree for $1. They price gouge horribly. I don’t go anymore bc of it.

At 6:30 you passed by what you thought was a napkin holder which instead was a very pretty and expensive glass piece with a polished bottom. I am wondering whether or not it might have been Murano?
