@@Uncle_SAM96 For your 1st point, If you're so dumb as to not use your brain, India imports 1-2% of its oil from russia( stated by Jen Psaki), Germany alone imports 34% of its oil from russia. So the west should stop lecturing India and lecture Germany first. Who the hell lectures someone on the other side of the neighbourhood rather than your own backyard?
For your second point, many US 'diplomats' have lectured India and I'll quote "Russia will not save you when China attacks". If you are smart enough to consider this statement then you'll know whos hypocratic and who's not.

Excellent reply by Shri Jayashankerji. In a low & polite tone he has exposed the hypocracy of USA & EU countries when asked about India's crude purchases from Russia. Replying he said it's so little that India's purchases for a whole month is even less than one afternoon's crude purchases by EU 👍👍👍

The real problem: India is a regional South Asia power only. It's weapons from Russia are cheaper, but low quality. See how they got smashed in Ukraine by the US supplied anti-tank and stinger missiles. India needs high double digit growth and employment to be something. This is not on the horizon. It will take it 30 years just to reach where China is today. For now, it has to tow the Russian line and pretend to be neutral as it cannot afford to offend them. India needs to diversify, fast, its arms industry and build its own and not have 70% dependent on Russia (see what happened to those weapons in Ukraine). The US, British (like their tanks and aircraft) and Israeli weapons, though more pricy are excellent quality; so buy fewer. You get what you pay for.

@@Uncle_SAM96 Oil purchasing has nothing to do with country and continent, it is the need of population. India alone has approximately twice population as compared to whole Europe. And also keep in mind that India is developing country with large number of poor people whereas most European countries are already developed, that's why India has more needs than Europe.
Europeans doesn't want to harm their economy even little bit by not purchasing Oil from Russia, but Europeans doesn't care about India where poor people can badly be affected or even could die of hunger just by banning the purchase of Oil.
So please understand the condition of India also.🙏

They will stop buying in last of April they are just buying because they already make payment to russia and 43 % increase it It does not mean they start buying much more oil they only buy few barrels and if they increase little amount so it look big from percentage but in actual number it is less they are buying only because they already did payment

Cheap gas from Russia allowed EU economy, especially Germany , to be competitive. The Americans played a very smart game by sanctioning Russian gas and the EU shot itself in the foot by blindly toeing the American command.
It will take a very long time for EU to find other suppliers who can make up for what Russia has been supplying. Importing far more costly LNG from USA is gonna make EU exports costlier.
