That truck was built and lives less than 6 miles from me. This is nuts this isn't halley but her husband we both met cleetus and all of them in Bristol last year. This is awesome letsss good. HELL YEAH!!
What a beautiful machine! Steve, Thanks so much for walking us through the process here. I'll probably never have a car of that caliber but its great to be a little less ignorant of what goes on. Great video and commentary. That young man Kyle can drive!
I LOVE this truck. Classic lines, bad ass motor, and stance. As you said, it weighs 4G. A little work putting a bit more of the 4G on the rear wheels equally by shock and chassis adjustments, and you have an easy, 7.70 racer and reliable driver, and maybe never have to go over 19 psi of boost. Love it, Steve, and your technical info comes in so handy, not only yo tuners, but people wanting to know what the engine wants and is getting during the run. Kyle is really developing into a great driver, also.
Hey Steve! I really like how in depth you go in your videos in the track tuning! I don't race, tune or crew chief anymore, so I'm racing vicariously through your vids. That truck was pretty well worked to have such a decent showing on the short times. Will be interesting to see how he trims that 60 foot with that heavy of a truck and all that damn power! I'm hoping he brings you out a few more times, so we can see some updates! This truck is so badass! Great vid! Well appreciated
Awesome Awesome Truck your content is always Amazing was extremely cool to see Kyles talent as a Driver very Bad Ass you both always manage to make my day a better Day thank you both so much. as always God Bless be safe you two.
Looks like a updated version of ole heavy if he had the money. Sweet truck you could use the hook to drag the other down the 1/4. Best of luck and most of all stay safe. Sure happy I found your video. May Jesus bless you and your family
Great driving Kyle! The last pass was great until the front tires came down and unloaded the rears! Nice, nice little truck ! Hey guys, Happy Forth of July! ✌🏻🤘🧡🌦 🇨🇦.
Love the beginning. Kyle is gonna be the driver and I’m gonna be the tuner. Then Kyle makes dad go get a laptop because Kyle didn’t grab one. That’s funny. Come on Kyle don’t make the old man go rush to find a laptop lmao. I don’t blame you though, I would’ve done the same thing to my dad.
Might have been mad at first... But so long as all went well and got good numbers and was still running smooth... He'd have been fine just to see what it does!!
@james94582 sure, but if it doesn't and he's hurt, God forbid... so just better to do what he did and respect his father is looking out for their best interests 🙌💪🤘
That’s from either using a cheap bottle jack bender or using very thin wall tube. Like .065. Drive that like it has no cage, because what’s in there is for show. It’ll fold just as fast as the sheet metal around it.
Such a cool build. Any reason the owner didn’t put a funny car cage in it with all that power, or are they only looking for 8.50’s/ coasting at the tracks for D&D’s
I've said it before, I want Steve to be my doctor. It's awesome the way he reads the vitals and puts the effort on to make it better. Who else can determine its a quart low on dinosaur juice.

Kyle looked like he was getting a good handle on the old tow truck, good wheel man on a loose track.
30:56 - that was one bad ass pedal job, right there!!!
Great to see Kyle behind the wheel, Congrats on the build gentleman, looks like another strong runner!!!!
Awesome job behind the wheel Kyle for not being your truck and not having a a lot of time on big tires
Really like this customer build test video. Seeing what your motors are capable of with shop and track testing. Sweet!
Excited for Keith, awesome truck, great job Steve and Kyle.
Great Job driving Kyle . Suspension needs tuning next for sure . Nice job guys .
I think it would be safe to say that Kyle likes the truck and was having fun, truck is awesome love it.
Right there with the Wagon in the "Cool Factor", gonna be a runner when its all dailed in! As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
Kyle wheeling the heavy monster down the track is very impressive! Thanks for sharing

Love that truck. It has character. Kyle needs to build a Ford F1 version of this!
Yep my dad had a 1950 f100 with a 352 he put in it back in the 1980s
Gives a whole new meaning to HOOK N BOOK... LOL
What a beautiful rig! Absolutely love the engine work !
Simply wonderful what can be done with money, materials, technology, and knowledge. 👏👏👏
I see this truck all the time in Benton! Awesome to see an SME in it now!
Just gotta say. Turbo or not, love how rowdy your engines sound, Steve. Real top notch chop 😅👌🏻🇺🇲
Steve's boy can drive! Wheeled that big ol thing like a true pro 🤙🤙

Thanks Steve very cool truck looking forward to seeing it out and about.
1/4 mile potential on that run of roughly 7.90 and only 16 PSI? That engine is a legit monster
Did i miss understand him saying it's close to 4k lbs?!
@@jaredandrews379 what does mullet weigh?
@@jaredandrews379, last one didn't post, no you didn't, i heard it as well
@@borgheses, I believe it's about 35-3600 lbs
They went to smaller turbos so I'd say they would be in the meat at lower boost than the big boys previously on it.
Great video. Back to back passes with changes in between. That’s what we like to see 👍
WOW comes to mind an awesome looking Wrecker and damn fast to boot. Awesome work Steve and everyone involved and level up the driver :)
no offense to my dad rip. But I wish he was more like Steve. What a Team. Thank you for every lesson.
LOVE THE FATHER SON COMBINATION THE WAY YOU LEARN HIM THE ROPES 🎉
Badass Chevy truck!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪💪💪💪I can't get enough of her!!!😍😍😍
That tow truck looks like it should be on Antiques Roadshow, sounds like thunder, and flys like a jet. 😎
Way to go, Kyle and Steve! That's a fast old truck.
Beautiful Truck !
Really thinking "Outside the Bed" !
Dude not really a pickup kinda guy, but that truck is seriously awesome. Imagine driving down the road and seeing that thing in your mirror.
Congratulations Steve. Awesome Win
Best looking body style of Chevy truck in my opinion!! Love it!! Keep up the good work guys!!
Freaking Love it!!! Keyboard warrior say's it sounds like a exhaust leak on the video from the front of the truck.
I love how you're diagnosing something over a video. Jackass...
I said the same thing
Wow that looks like a drive shaft transmission killing machine. Love it!
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing the testing with us.

Great work Kyle. Your definitely on your way to 7s.
Might need a bigger bullet in us Stang though
Let's go my day just got better
That has to be the coolest Chevy pickup I have ever seen. Can’t wait to see that run on SickWeek!
That truck is insane! The sound is amazing too. What a creation.
With this truck the sentence "I need a quick tow!" has a whole new meaning... 😂😁😇🤟
With a hook like that and no wheel lift, it is most certainly a wrecker, not a tow truck. Nice rig! Thanks for the video.
Awesome Awesome Truck your content is always Amazing was extremely cool to see Kyles talent as a Driver very Bad Ass you both always manage to make my day a better Day thank you both so much. as always God Bless be safe you two.
11:57: like Sleeperdude family says: "needs 24 Volts!"
I always have a great day when I get to watch Steve work his magic!
Looks like a updated version of ole heavy if he had the money. Sweet truck you could use the hook to drag the other down the 1/4. Best of luck and most of all stay safe. Sure happy I found your video. May Jesus bless you and your family
Nice driving. Sick truck for sure.
Steve looks high on life!!! Love it….
great video, looks like kyle was landing with the wheels turn to left each time.
Great.
Wonderful to see it on track
Great driving Kyle!
The last pass was great until the front tires came down and unloaded the rears!
Nice, nice little truck !
Hey guys, Happy Forth of July!
✌🏻🤘🧡🌦 🇨🇦.
Congrats to you guys. The truck is coming along
That is one bad machine. Love it
Steve putting in the work. When I win the lottery I know who is building my motors.

Kyle figured right 😂 dad woulda been mad if you stayed in it to the 1/4 😂
Might have been mad at first... But so long as all went well and got good numbers and was still running smooth... He'd have been fine just to see what it does!!
@james94582 sure, but if it doesn't and he's hurt, God forbid... so just better to do what he did and respect his father is looking out for their best interests 🙌💪🤘
That truck is sick!
1:20 Steve putting out the vibe. 😁
Going to have to add a heavier hook to get that thing to plant! Lol😂
go kyle well done steve letting kyle test great video
Your young man can drive! Damn!
Thing looks badass.
Want to see something scary? Check out the wrinkly bend in the halo bar at 4:54 . You can see it a few times, but that's where I first noticed it.

Mean ”towtruck”💪🏼😎🔥🔥🔥🔥
Make sure you lock the gas cap, because you're spraying gas all over the track when he leaves
I seen that too 😂😂
I would think that's like the vent or over flo for the fuel cell maybe.. dont think it cam from the cap
It’s water
@@Fauksy yea ya rite...I'm tryin to think of from where it come from tho..
@@thomaskimparker809likely the intercooler chiller vent.
Great video
Yeah owner will have many chassis adjustments to make
To say "Super Nifty" doesn't even quite capture it. I digress. Super Nifty.
looks like a fun ride... now about that steering with the wheels in the air....
Awesome, thanks for sharing this with us.
One bad sss mother trucker!😊
Man that thing is just cool!
Now that is one cool wrecker !!!lol. Thanks for the video and the information.
We're all doin truck shit! Let's freaking go!
Thanks buddy and very nice ride
Such a cool build. Any reason the owner didn’t put a funny car cage in it with all that power, or are they only looking for 8.50’s/ coasting at the tracks for D&D’s
I know Keith personally. It’s a street truck and funny car cages are illegal on the streets in illinois.
Kyle was getting settled in with the truck and doing a very good Job behind the wheel I'm sure on a properly Prepped track the 0-60 times will drop
You did a great job of sorting this one out.
Might I suggest a mounting a wing on the tow truss. Would look sick
1:30 anything cool to say? ""Another day, another dragstrip"
You guys could make t-shirts of Steve cleaning random stuff with cloths. There is plenty of media for that 😂
Steve should get some California Car Dusters which doesn’t scratch paint that has dust on it like micro towels ect do. Plus works really fast.
way to go KYLE, i'd done the same to my dad... LOL
Now that's a hauling ass truck 💪🇱🇷🤘
Man truck legit ripper thx for sharing kinda cool logo truck Benton I’ll old stomping grounds.
Love all the Glass cleaner in the rig!
I love when Guy's take something Old and make it New again, and better than ever..
Beautiful truck!
Beautiful Truck 😊
Is that fuel or what shooting out the back on launch?
Great job guys
Holy 5hit. That thing left hard on the first lick.
Steve and Kyle y'all rock! Peace
I've said it before, I want Steve to be my doctor. It's awesome the way he reads the vitals and puts the effort on to make it better. Who else can determine its a quart low on dinosaur juice.
These videos just keep getting better!
Super cool truck, great job men!
Tuning! Not tearing! Kickass truck.
That thang a really hook 😂😂😂😂😂
Absolutely awesome truck! 🤙
Great job guys! What a team!
This is AMAZING content Steve, thanks!!
