      @@vinny6_9100% brother. Social media and youtube has kids thinking everyone has a 10-12sec car. The reality is very few are around. If youre talking even 911 turboS then on the road even that isnt getting repeat late 10 to 11sec quarters i know that for a fact it doesnt and thats about the only car i know of that can actually do repeat launches on road and get the same results each time. The teslas we had and even the M5 comp (company cars i drove as dailys for 9 month each on PCP) wouldnt know how to launch and get the same result twice. The Teslas have a good traction control system as the polling rate is huge on electric motors but it was the easiest confused system of the lot if you hit a bump or on our UK B-roads, Teslas hate cambers too wheras the M5 comps driver aids were fine over bumps but just so random it was hard to trust the thing. They were all unreliable too even the TurboS it went through active engine mounts and the mounts above the gearbox as well as the front shocks losing dampening and the driver side front disc (front rotor in America) got warped and over the space of about 1200miles of which 200 of them i admit i drove the thing hard putting up with what in other cars have been acceptable levels of vibration, yet somehow it wrecked the entire suspension on that side bushes and all. People need to accept this is the reality of these so called "fast quarter mile production cars" They pretend they are 10-11sec cars because the electronics and gearboxes allow for a fast 8th. but they dont survive being treated like a genuine 10sec machine like a big motorbike. You can wreck a Tesla and M5 here in Scotland in about 3 weeks in not kidding

    When you get more fluid into the converter it tightens it up. Pour in the power! Better tie that front-end down its only on the rear tires. There is way more in it... push it harder down low and get the driveshaft curves up. That thing is a beast!

    • @bigduphusaj162
      @bigduphusaj162 Год назад

      no it doesnt. It will tighten up depending on viscosity mate this is why a lot of people run hydraulic fluid in them to tighten them up.

    Enjoyed your explanation of the surging you experienced when the turbos were trying to push too much air into the engine. I had watched a video earlier in the day about the SR 71 and issues they had with it during testing. Lockheed had the same sort of problem with their engines on the plane. They actually lost the first SR 71 during testing because this problem caused one of the engines to lose it's afterburner causing the plane to yaw. They solved it by putting in bleeders controlled by computers to alleviate the issue. Not saying that would work for you but thought the similarity was pretty cool.

    Steve, man, you are driving that car every foot of the way! So cool to be able to ride along!
    It seems to me, as a fan of racing, that maybe your rear suspension program needs to get a bit more dialed so you're not sawin' at that wheel all the way to the big end - it just WANTS to stay stright when the front wheels are up. The load on the rear end seems like it must be shifting from side to side acriss the rear axle housing like a see-saw.
    If you HAVE to set the front wheels down to steer it, your et will suffer more than thstbold 60 foot will, I figure.

    For a man who doesn't care about horsepower on the dyno can sure put it to good use on the dragstrip. According to the data there is "lots left" in this family wagon with a deluxe interior.

    Since you got the transmission convertor depth resolve , which was a education for me. I assumed your time would be better because i thought the engine was not blowing through the convertor.. ..At any rate interested information, congratulations on getting past that . Part of racing and development i guess . Enjoy the videos

    Taking about your boost surge. I’m not sure if you use wastegate PID control similar to motec, but maybe the feed forward in that particular area is too high. I know using motec. We can adjust the feed rate and decrease or increase in order to help hit target in that particular rpm range. If the feed is too high, it will surge like that bouncing boost. I use a full electronic gate on my car as well.

    you can attend some of that compressor surge with camshaft revision, I think car would go faster with a camshaft that worked closer to 9500rpm given the turbo size, launch rpm would need to go up as well. I'd bet you could take out boost and go faster if the valvetrain saw more high rpm development. there's a shit ton of power waiting for you
