2023 recipe also hasn't been uploaded by aeropress. Maybe you can make that one as well? Newer recipes look more interesting since they put a limit on the amount of g of coffee you can use
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll definitely make a video about it. I have one other video planned first, but right after that, I’ll cover the 2023 1st place recipe.
Hi! I’m not the creator of this recipe. That credit goes to George Stanica. My goal with this video was to provide a visual version of his recipe, which is currently only available in written form online. In the future, I plan to post a video diving into the different variables that affect brewing with an Aeropress, so stay tuned!
Isn’t the whole point of Aeropress is for convenience? It starts getting more complicated. I just want a damn coffee without driving in a 15 degrees temp
I agree that it should be convenient for a daily routine. My personal favourite is the 2021 world aeropress recipe. 81 degrees, no dilution and overall easy to make in the morning
It is coarser. Around 870 µm. Iwould advice you to use this website to find how much that is approximately for your grinder: honestcoffeeguide.com/coffee-grind-size-chart/?
it depends on what aspect they're trying to emphasize, I find that many of the championship brews go for the sweetest brew they can get, by making a concentrate and diluting it to a temperature where the sweetness is even more prominent, they can really pull out something unique enough to stand out from the other competitors.
Well these types of brewing are often being compared to tea in general. Especially when we have to explain it to laypeople. So while it isn't actually weak, it is indeed "weak" if you're comparing it to other extraction methods (i.e.: espresso).
I was thinking the same thing when I first read the recipe. You end up with 150g-165g which is not too watery in my opinion, but it is not a very strong cup. You should give it a try

Finally someone who posts recipes! 🎉
Excellent video. It is indeed weak at 13% extraction with 870 microns. Will try again grinding finer. Thanks.
That clear AP looks so nice! :D
It is totally worth getting one! I really recommend it
@ I own two others. Cant justify haha
I understand but this one is special :D
Great video! Thanks.
Glad you liked it!

Why too much dilution?
It is not too much diluted. It is just not extremely strong. Give it a try I would say!
is that grind about as coarse as for a pour over?

How come all these world championship winners make tea water? Looks so weak 👀
it sure ain't espresso :)

@@edoalva48weak coffee is weak coffee no matter what process you use.
@@tl924 Sure. Filter beans are mostly light roast.
"making coffee is not rocket science"
the recipe:
1:8 ratio coffee yield with such a complicated method. Even if it is better it's really inefficient with beans and overly complicated...
It is definitely not a daily routine recipe...
Looks way too watery

@@PierreHomeBarista does the total brewing time is apriximately 2 minutes?
Agree with not to strong, try finer grind or longer stir
@ebeneZr nah... it's okay, soft yes...
Yes, you should finish pressing around 2:05-2:15. The total press is about 30-40 seconds.
aeropress should be the simple method... but this recipe definitely not one
Credits to George for winning the world championship with this recipe but I agree with you. This is not simple at all to make
