Voltes V was banned because of the complaints from parents that it's violent and it's promoting violence among children, that children were influenced to become violent because of watching it. That is what I know as I recall the day my aunt told me about the news that Marcos is banning it along with other super robot anime shows.

Boltes Pibe!!! That trailer could have been more Filipino if it were not for the missing laugh tracks with chipmunks and whizzing whistles constantly interrupting the dialog. Like most Filipino variety shows still airing today. Terrible editing that only Pinoy TV can give. I saw the Voltes V movie in the theaters. My mom walked us out before the movie ended after realizing it was just a few episodes mashed together for a two hour let down.
So apparently this "film" of the Voltes V tv show ends with....a cliffhanger? I guess you could say that Voltes V: The Liberation is its sequel but I dunno, seeing as that film is hard to come buy (outside the Philippines)
