Jorge moura - Title: Myths and truths about passwords in the authentication process

This session goals is to explain the importance that authentication plays nowadays, the challenges in its implementation/use and a demo of a solution for rejuvenating and a strengthening one of the most popular methods of authentication used in the Internet: single factor authentication based in user/password.
A brief analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of some of the most popular solutions on the market will be made, followed by quiz game with the intent of demystifying myths related with passwords within Windows environment.
Next I shall demo a solution developed by me that makes the "old" password immune to the two most common attacks, brute force and key loggers, increasing the security of this type of authentication to levels never before achieved.
Once the demo is over I will be available to answer questions related with this presentation.
