You could have mentioned how Redwood Forest from ExtraBiomesXL (mod from early release) probably inspired Mega Taiga added in release 1.7. It also had red rocky biome similar to Mesa/Badlands. Also, in beta there was a mod Apothecary I think, that added potions but they were different. Millenaire added villages way before release. In beta there was a small coral reef mod. I'm sure you could do part 2
Stuff like this happens in the community a lot unfortunately. Even the mod RedPower, the original author just stopped working on it. It had some cool features NOBODY was able to figure out even till this date, the 6502 emulation... it was amazing how it was done in 2011, on MC 1.2.5. The mod but was, re-built, and even exists for the modern MC versions (modern being 1.12.2, lel, don't know anything more than that), but the original source code was never even released despite requests too. BTW mod was so old, but if you look carefully. Create took it over. Create is like a very advanced version of this mod, when I first even saw Create I was like "WTF? It's like BTW finally remade"
I think just from what I’ve heard about from the old communities, sometimes just peculiar or strange stuff. But very talented modder and an amazing mod for sure! They ditched the online persona now to peruse a career in video games, and I wish them the very best of luck! Would be interested in seeing what they make, but it makes sense to no longer go by the old mod alias.
What was the controversial reputation of the Better Than Wolves mod author? I remember hearing about the mod years ago through Yogscast, but that's basically all I know about it

@@Legohead458 That doesn't really answer my question. Because that could be anything from lesser, more annoying things like being rude to other members in the community or stealing code, or actual serious offenses like doxxing or harassment or grooming.
@@alexanderchippel To answer you, they largely were just annoying and were hostile to other modders who used his mod in their modpacks at the time. It got to the point where he just flat out made his mod incompatible with other mods. He wanted to make it its own contained experience.
They can still add "sick" Features when not listening to the community. Its not like they dont have ideas of their own like the Deep Dark or the new Villages. Also adding features from mods involves the Copyright of the modder and balancing to fit into the game especially when it comes to mods that add more than one block or mob.
@@percycreeper2733 most good features were inspired by mods or community suggestions like the coal block, the end that was inspired by the aether and even the nether and cave update since it was highly request by the community. Yeah the deep dark definitely is original but most features were added due to the community requesting
@@ideac. but they cannot listen to everything and everyone... I believe, they still try their best to listen to the community while also adding original ideas. Some community ideas might also conflict...

Could definitely do a follow up, there’s a lot to go off for sure!
Here lies the pufferfish

Giant oak trees were also originally from a mod as well. Great video!
that modcreator deserves to be hanged, drawn and quartered for his crimes
we didn't realize we were making memories we just knew we were having fun
you forgot Scaevolus's McRegion Mod which optimized world saves then was later added into Beta 1.3
Can someone ELI5 what the Better Than Wolves creator did? I cannot find anything on the topic

Better Blocks Mod is not in the Mango Pack. Would you ever consider adding it in?
This is so underrated
What about 3D items display, or grass blocks

Imagine if mojang listened more to their community so they can keep adding sick features
