Pretty bomb-proof piece of kit. Ideal for wet/ damp conditions in UK/ Northern Europe. Not much can go wrong and when you get wet (cos all jackets eventually fail) it dries fast whilst still keeping you warm
Nice video but it would be good to see some close ups of the fabric and the lining and to hear about where it sits in the Buffalo lineup. Look forward to your next vid 👍
Hello, here is a link to a video where we take a closer look at the materials which make up the Buffalo Mens Active Shirt : ruclips.net/video/tYC1zJpPpyo/видео.html
Please review some of the female products from Buffalo. It would be great to see how exactly they look on the inside, outside, etc. Thank you! I'm petite (size xs/s) and would love to get at least one of their products because they seem exactly what I want for my needs.
I have 4. 3 smocks decreasing from the active to the wind shirt and the jacket version of the special 6. All fantastic and I agree far better than a down filled jacket. I’ve had issues with Velcro coming unstitched on cuffs which I easily repaired myself. Ripped my jacket on day 1 on some barbed wire and despite 3 emails to Buffalo repair service never received a reply. Ended up taking apart my mitts and using the fabric and repairing the rip myself. So not impressed with their customer service which unfortunately has scored them down in my view.
Hi Richard, I'm really surprised to hear that you didn't have a good experience with Buffalo's customer service. It's really odd that they haven't responded to your emails. Did you try phoning them, as emails occasionally go into spam for one reason or another? Regards, Steve.
I have a Special 6 shirt which is my 'Go-to' winter top. I'm looking for something to use when the Special 6 is going to be too warm. Would you say the Active, Active-Lite or Teclite shirt would be best for general hiking outside the Winter months?
The Active Shirt was designed for a multitude of uses under all kinds of weather conditions, if it helps as an example I would have no hesitation in wearing it up on Dartmoor in gale force winds or in freezing conditions, hope that helps
if you fall badly and are immobilised etc and the jacket has shifted up your back etc ...you will wish you might have been wearing something extra ! Also the wind can really make its up from the bottom. Its great idea that needs modernising .
It has an inner belt you tighten to fit. Had one for years, you wouldn't have that problem. Also they recommend you pick a size thats a snug fit and they are quite long. They don't ride up or let drafts in. If you get too hot you actually unzip the sides and adjust the temp.
Hi Alex. They are not designed to be a waterproof shirt. You will get some protection from the rain however their unique fabric and design keeps you warm and dries very quickly. Hope this helps.

Hi Stephen. I would have a look at the active lite and teclite shirt. Both items sound like they would be adequate for what you are planning to do.
What weather and season is the active shirt designed for?

@@camouflagestoreuk I know it's all subjective but would this be too warm for hiking in weather around 8 - 12 deg C?
@@user-zo2rj2zi9g I don't think so Alan, you can use the side zip vents to help if you start to get hot.
@@camouflagestoreuk Temperature range is the single most important thing to include in a review for something like this - but no one does!

How waterproof are they ? Are they measured the same way a jacket is? I.e.10000mm or 20000mm?

So you like it then 😂
