I think the racial changes are enough to cause some drop-off on the horde side of the player base making that faction imbalance even worse. However, from my playthrough on alliance and horde they seem to neglect the horde side in general with updates. Edit: The have dialed back some of the racial nerfs (Oct 21st) Developer Comment: Racials in Vanilla have always been a tricky topic. On one hand, they encourage diversity and avoid homogenization by having races excel in niches through unique traits, this fits Vanilla flavor perfectly. On the other hand however it is common knowledge that the Horde has always had the upper hand when it comes to combat racials, ***especially in PvP***. Our changes to these Racials sought to remedy this issue by keeping Racials unique and flavorful to their race while evening out the power of the outliers. That being said, after extensive discussions and player feedback we realize that some Racials were hit too hard while others got a little less love than they deserve. Will of the Forsaken: Duration reduced from 5 to 3 seconds. Cooldown increased from 2 minutes to 2.5 minutes. Can now be used while under crowd control to break out as before. (Hardness is no longer 25% Stun resistance and is now replaced with 15% stun duration reduction [more consistent however significantly worse but warranted]) Shadowmeld: Cooldown reduced from 3 minutes to 1 minute. War Stomp: Duration increased from 1.5 to 2 seconds, cooldown increased from 2 minutes to 2.5 minutes. Exit Strategy: No longer slows the user after sprinting. Overall, still a massive L to ya horde players.
agreed specifically with how much stuff they gave to paladin and how few new spells shaman got that being said quests and new areas are fairly even with the majority being Neutral ones

@@jimmyhopkins4095 Night Elf was already a better Druid, more Druids means better chances to win WSG, the new racial changes mean they are now better 120% of the time than Tauren rather than 90%. High Elf got gigabuffed too. It's the combination of almost pure Alliance megabuffs (besides Gnome as the sacrificial lamb) and almost pure Horde meganerfs (besides Goblin but their sprint would still be garbaggio if its cooldown was 10 seconds because it's a self-pacify with a self-snare at the end)

I don't understand the orc changes, if blood fury gives attack power and spell power as much as your level, that's pretty good spell power, but pretty awful attack power, making orcs better casters than warriors lol
Yeah the orc nerf is horrible and destroys orc warrior. Overall huge nerfs to Horde. Apparently they already backtracked on some of these questionable changes. For example I think will of the forsaken is castable in combat again.

I think polearm will become THE leveling weapon for warrior with the new talent. Out ranging enemies + hamstring should come down to (next to) no downtime.
Only problem (least with vanilla with no itemization changes, not sure how many were added) is there's a lack of polearms while leveling, mostly BoE and only good polearm for leveling is at 51 for doing AV. I see potential in it though

Warrior Arms getting 600 armor pen with 2h hammers is something im super excited about (instead of chance to stun). Its like having around 1.5 extra sunder armors at lv 60
for the Tauren Warstomp part: Turtle WoW has Nampower addon to not care about latency (its actively under development ) For the nerf - thats the only one I dont understand. 2 sec often are pretty close for a cast, 1,5 sec youll never get a cast out. Its just a kick now :/

I wonder why are they removing shadow and arcane resistances? Vengeance is kind of OP in comparison to gnomes' new racial. There aren't that many mechanical mobs. I don't really play horde but that's too much nerf.
I remember playing with you a couple years back when you played on your warlock as I played my hunter doing a couple of that one custom burning steppes dungeon (forgot what it was called), I originally wanted to play my hunter as melee but the playstyle wasn't quite fleshed out yet even though there were a couple things added at the time. Subbed to Blizz servers already and deleted twow… not going back 100%… But you are right - these changes will definitely drive as much new players if not more to the server than those who are unhappy with this patch and have left. A lot of people wanted for the game to change… I am one of those who enjoyed the server to still be relatively close to vanilla and now there’s very little of it remaining, so there’s no better choice than go to classic for us… Btw I know much more people who wanted for things to stay the same or similar than those who wanted this kind of changes

Beast Mastery is getting a lot more powerful, it is getting a lot of scaling from the hunter stats to our pet, it is gonna be a nightmare in PvP to play against lol
these were kinda harsh imo, but after they tweaked some of these changes, they look even better, the Twow team does a pretty good job of listening to feedback.
I just started playing this week. Had a lot of fun with a Tauren Warrior. I'm a bit sad to see these class changes. I wanted a classic experience with minor tweaks. But now they are dropping this massive overhaul. And it's changing the game too much. Doing stuff like Rend scaling with attack power is a good change that makes sense, without completely changing the class. But that 6s CD on Execute and Hamstring, not to mention the War stomp nerf. Yikes :S EDIT: If I wanted to play custom, I would've gone to Ascension.
This is classic plus, it's going to have changes. If you want no changes, era is there. I think there's some other vanilla private servers. But I would like raids not being made up of 60% warriors and rogues, along with everyone else who enjoys classic wow.

It's quite impossible. You are taking a hail mary with Will of the Forsaken Me, a druid, abolish poison predicting blinds regularly: am I a joke to you?
You'll have to respec when update comes out, and depending on which class you go with, you may have to re-learn a lot of it. Some classes are changing a good bit more than others.
The biggest takeaway for me was how much they're trying to push players to stay in one talent tree, which is just boring. Take Shadow Priest for example: making Wand Spec cost only 2 points sounds cool but now you have to literally waste 3 talent points on stuff that only benefits Holy and Disc spells to move deeper into the tree and eventually get to Improved Power Word Shield, which is now also one row deeper than before. At this point, I'll just take Wand Spec for 2 and dump everything else into Shadow. How exciting.
you want to hybridize talents leveling? for almost every class it was a pain full of filler talents with just 1 go to solo leveling. i think its a great trade off.
I heard theres a melee hunter spec but I also heard it really sucks. If it is viable, I would love to take a look at this. This was over a year ago though
Hunter scaling is also changing, I wish traps in combat was a little higher on the tree so you could use them earlier in leveling, but this should feel closer to a proper rotation that in the past.
There are some client fixes and one of the thing it fixes is the resolution, I am playing at 3440x1440 no problem. I followed some tutorial on youtube on how to setup the twow and it was part of it.
as someone who has dabbled on private servers but is mostly a Retail/classic player its fun to see what the private servers are doing. i, like many of my kind, played an undead rogue back in vanilla. Assassination was my spec of choice and i really dont like the envemon they went with. Now i dont know what other changes they have made to the class in general but if buff and poisons work like they originally did then that is a wasted talent. Is there still a debuff limit? if so rogues dont get to use poisons. Do poisons still have charges? if so this just means you will need to stop dpsing and apply poisons more often durning the fight, and thats no fun. There is no damage element to it, so does the 25% extra damage and the extra down time to reapply poisons come out to the damage increase over just evis? prolly not especially with a lot of late game mobs being immune to poison? thats also something else you now have to manage on top of slice and dice again cutting into thruput with finishers. not a good choice if you ask me. but then again im not all that informed on the other elsement of this version of the game.
Debuff limit is increased, there's a talent that gives you a chance to not lose charges on poison, some poisons iirc are duration based instead of charges, and rogues are getting a new corrosive poison that works on mobs immune to normal poisons.
The two hander specialization requirements to spec into master of arms is a mistake. There are plenty of 1h and two hand builds that could benefit from master of arms, without having to sink so many points into 2H specialization which in my POV is overvalued.
Master at Arms is intended to be used with 2handers exclusively. The talent as it's written now states that it only effects 2 handers anyway, it has no effect on 1h weapons. In other words; if you're doing 1h arms, you simply ignore both talents.
Dunno how bad ascension is, but in my time on turtle the microtransactions have never been an issue. There's no p2w that I can see; mostly tmogs and some minor convenience things.
total p2w, you can buy instant bank everywhere, repair mail, AH, respect bot, bags, mounts. Don't listen to the sheep claiming it's not pay to win, they brainwashed
We'll have to see when it drops to be sure, but based on the new talents, shamans are getting much more damage mitigation, better blocking, improvements to threat generation, and a taunt. So, shaman tanking is looking promising.

Not surprised the dev team would nerf horde racials, they all play alli, as evidenced by how unbalanced AV is (unless they fixed it). Horde had no backdoor into alli base, alli had a backdoor into horde base, alli always had a huge advantage and refused to play any other bg, forcing horde to queue AV or no bgs.
I didn't hear the first ~8 seconds of your video where you said it's NOT OUT YET, and I spent the last 2 days downloading it getting addons and my interface all perfect and leveled up a new Mage only to realize...Well yeah, it's not out yet....And there's no ETA...Could be a week, could be 6 months.

Normal. But you can get something called “Warmode” makes you flagged 24/7 but gives you 20% xp boost.
these were kinda harsh imo, but after they tweaked some of these changes, they look even better, the Twow team does a pretty good job of listening to feedback.
There has been over 9000 changes since this video was posted 3 weeks ago.
I just started playing this week. Had a lot of fun with a Tauren Warrior.
I'm a bit sad to see these class changes. I wanted a classic experience with minor tweaks.
But now they are dropping this massive overhaul. And it's changing the game too much.
Doing stuff like Rend scaling with attack power is a good change that makes sense, without completely changing the class.
But that 6s CD on Execute and Hamstring, not to mention the War stomp nerf. Yikes :S
EDIT: If I wanted to play custom, I would've gone to Ascension.
This is classic plus, it's going to have changes. If you want no changes, era is there. I think there's some other vanilla private servers. But I would like raids not being made up of 60% warriors and rogues, along with everyone else who enjoys classic wow.

Really would have love to see a ranged rogue, but Support rogue is really awesome too! Probably going melee Hunter, I love it in SoM will give it a try in Twow. Also love to see Disc Dps!!! They need to just merge the servers. The pve server is a pvp server anyway, if ppl would just slap warmode on.
Genuinely curious, is turtle wow very popular? I tried it a few months back and saw maybe 1 or 2 people while leveling. I’d love to play but it felt very empty at the time I tried it.
if you want populated servers, go warmane, i play on lordaeron.

I agree with this, bout the only thing to mention is once the patch comes out you may need to respec.
You'll have to respec when update comes out, and depending on which class you go with, you may have to re-learn a lot of it. Some classes are changing a good bit more than others.
The biggest takeaway for me was how much they're trying to push players to stay in one talent tree, which is just boring. Take Shadow Priest for example: making Wand Spec cost only 2 points sounds cool but now you have to literally waste 3 talent points on stuff that only benefits Holy and Disc spells to move deeper into the tree and eventually get to Improved Power Word Shield, which is now also one row deeper than before. At this point, I'll just take Wand Spec for 2 and dump everything else into Shadow. How exciting.

you want to hybridize talents leveling? for almost every class it was a pain full of filler talents with just 1 go to solo leveling. i think its a great trade off.

I heard theres a melee hunter spec but I also heard it really sucks. If it is viable, I would love to take a look at this. This was over a year ago though
Wasn't really a spec...they currently have aspect of the wolf that makes you a bit melee.
Hunter scaling is also changing, I wish traps in combat was a little higher on the tree so you could use them earlier in leveling, but this should feel closer to a proper rotation that in the past.
How about priest racials? Which one is better?
I can"t even put my resolution to 1920*1080, max is 1600*1050, I gave up playing for that, can't find any answer to why I can't change it.
There is a ue5 client coming next year, they already previewed it.
There are some client fixes and one of the thing it fixes is the resolution, I am playing at 3440x1440 no problem. I followed some tutorial on youtube on how to setup the twow and it was part of it.
as someone who has dabbled on private servers but is mostly a Retail/classic player its fun to see what the private servers are doing.
i, like many of my kind, played an undead rogue back in vanilla. Assassination was my spec of choice and i really dont like the envemon they went with.
Now i dont know what other changes they have made to the class in general but if buff and poisons work like they originally did then that is a wasted talent. Is there still a debuff limit? if so rogues dont get to use poisons. Do poisons still have charges? if so this just means you will need to stop dpsing and apply poisons more often durning the fight, and thats no fun. There is no damage element to it, so does the 25% extra damage and the extra down time to reapply poisons come out to the damage increase over just evis? prolly not especially with a lot of late game mobs being immune to poison? thats also something else you now have to manage on top of slice and dice again cutting into thruput with finishers. not a good choice if you ask me. but then again im not all that informed on the other elsement of this version of the game.
I'm pretty sure twow increased the debuff limit or maybe removed it from what I've seen long time players talk about.
Debuff limit is increased, there's a talent that gives you a chance to not lose charges on poison, some poisons iirc are duration based instead of charges, and rogues are getting a new corrosive poison that works on mobs immune to normal poisons.

The two hander specialization requirements to spec into master of arms is a mistake. There are plenty of 1h and two hand builds that could benefit from master of arms, without having to sink so many points into 2H specialization which in my POV is overvalued.
Master at Arms is intended to be used with 2handers exclusively. The talent as it's written now states that it only effects 2 handers anyway, it has no effect on 1h weapons. In other words; if you're doing 1h arms, you simply ignore both talents.

Dunno how bad ascension is, but in my time on turtle the microtransactions have never been an issue. There's no p2w that I can see; mostly tmogs and some minor convenience things.
You can buy skins and mounts, no p2w.
total p2w, you can buy instant bank everywhere, repair mail, AH, respect bot, bags, mounts. Don't listen to the sheep claiming it's not pay to win, they brainwashed

We'll have to see when it drops to be sure, but based on the new talents, shamans are getting much more damage mitigation, better blocking, improvements to threat generation, and a taunt. So, shaman tanking is looking promising.

Warmane has a cash shop that sells actual gear, yes ACTUAL GEAR, you can buy epics and legendaries in the cash shop. Turtle doesn't have any of that!
The cash shop is fantastic and allows the team to actively work on the server.

Not surprised the dev team would nerf horde racials, they all play alli, as evidenced by how unbalanced AV is (unless they fixed it). Horde had no backdoor into alli base, alli had a backdoor into horde base, alli always had a huge advantage and refused to play any other bg, forcing horde to queue AV or no bgs.

I didn't hear the first ~8 seconds of your video where you said it's NOT OUT YET, and I spent the last 2 days downloading it getting addons and my interface all perfect and leveled up a new Mage only to realize...Well yeah, it's not out yet....And there's no ETA...Could be a week, could be 6 months.
