I guess I should have realized you probably meant Mother's Day. I take it you're in Canada? Given the plates I see you on the cars two of them in the yard. Once at Alberta and the other one said British Columbia. The one that stuck in my head which crew cab cheap. I have a 1964 with a tornado overhead cam engine wagoneer 4 by 4. And a two-wheel drive wiren are the same year. I think that pickup would be a few years and they work but are kind of complete the collection. I saw that late end of the run rambler there. And you did say at the video and do it that they weren't home yet and your friend is going to meet you and a couple of weeks. I like those Jeeps. Oddballs as well when it comes to vehicles. They're probably crashed out by now that there's to salvage yards just south of the Canadian border here in the US. I think their crush out date was first part of May. Hello Rusty classics. I saw a guy use a five-cylinder Mercedes diesel in a crosley. I'm not a diesel guy either. One thing you could do would be completely an oddball is set that small cab on a later model chassis such as probably import a larger Toyota Alexis even a Subaru. Arrest cabinet fit and you have a floorboard for your cab
Absolutely. I live on the west coast of Vancouver Island. If I was on the mainland, it would be a lot easier to access metal, it's $150 each way on the ferry if I find something over there, plus time and fuel, so it complicates things, and makes deals harder to come across. Father's day was an absolute slip, that I hope my much better half misses, it was a long day in the heat by the time we where finished, in the area of 12 hours driving for me, and I was pretty sore. Excuses aside, it was an absolute blast This particular wrecker mentioned they where clearing the yard to make for more commercial rental space I believe, it's sad, but the way it seems to be going. There's no money in old cars for them, if I have the ability to grab one or two more before they crush i just might, i joke that I'm semi retired, but the reality is that I have a life where I can spend a lot of it building my cars, and I plan to continue doing that, and filming for youtube for as long as I am able, or as long as everyone watches.
I had that suspicion last night and was confirmed by you and one other person today . Thank you. 🍻 I'm pretty good with a lot of things, but the subtle differences escape me sometimes when I'm being specifically directed to a differant place than my mind is taking me.
I realized that at about 2am this morning after the video was edited and uploaded. Which leaves me in an interesting predicament, and I'm going to see if I can get ahold of some chevy doors and build both cabs 😎 But thank you for confirming that. My guy said it wasn't chevy but all the metal that was on it was.
That makes total sense, I was told 46 for everything, and I knew the chevy was right, I know where there is a 42 chevy I might be able to salvage some parts from to complete the second cab, if it pans out, I'll build both, I love doing chops, floors and firewalls, so even if I don't finish them to drivers, I'll have a blast making them solid again . Thank you for the info 🍻
I've never done a vw. Up here, I can buy a running and driving Ls powered silverado for less than a rotted bare bug pan. There is one of those t bucket dune buggies a block from me, parked on top of an old electrical box where it's been for probably 20 years that I could buy for a reasonable amount. I'm considering grabbing it to bring back to life. I might dip a toe into the VW world eventually.
Hahahahaa. I'm considering a tornonado or cadillac transaxle, with a big block. They where FWD, so lock out the steering and weld the entire clip into the rear. But a bug could definitely be cool. I've got a little time to figure it out. So many awesome options.😎
There's a few vehicles there that I likely will never see again. I truly hope that they are brought back to life. The owners of the yard know they aren't just scrap and that's a huge start. What we grabbed is rough. Rougher than most people would be willing to start with, so I understand why they where willing to part with them so easily.

Excuses aside, it was an absolute blast
This particular wrecker mentioned they where clearing the yard to make for more commercial rental space I believe, it's sad, but the way it seems to be going.
What's the name of this yard ??
It's called Maxwells, it's on southern Vancouver Island.
I actually hadn't been into it in probably 8 or 10 years. Phenomenal place.
👍👍👍👍
❤❤❤🐕❤❤❤
The green cab is a Dodge, the other is 40-46 Chevy or GMC.
I had that suspicion last night and was confirmed by you and one other person today . Thank you. 🍻
I'm pretty good with a lot of things, but the subtle differences escape me sometimes when I'm being specifically directed to a differant place than my mind is taking me.
Your green cab is a Dodge.👍
I realized that at about 2am this morning after the video was edited and uploaded. Which leaves me in an interesting predicament, and I'm going to see if I can get ahold of some chevy doors and build both cabs 😎
But thank you for confirming that. My guy said it wasn't chevy but all the metal that was on it was.
The Dodge cab is I believe '39 to '46, the fenders and hood you got is '41/46 Chevy. The parts cab might be the same.
Funny gage😅
It really is. So much work for something Noone would have even seen 🤣
I have a radiator for 41 to 46 chevrolet truck ready to go message if u Interested
350 v8
AND Chop
Oh a chop is mandatory. You'd think since I'm 6'3 I'd leave myself some head room, but cool outweighs comfort every time 😎
Weld that cab onto a VW Bug frame.
I made that comment about a VW transaxle body with that cab before you said it in the video. You didn't say VW. But you said rear engine ...
I doubt you'll ever see another Chieftain Delivery like that again.
There's a few vehicles there that I likely will never see again. I truly hope that they are brought back to life. The owners of the yard know they aren't just scrap and that's a huge start. What we grabbed is rough. Rougher than most people would be willing to start with, so I understand why they where willing to part with them so easily.
