With the 6 2 diesel it is an absolute must to put a new harmonic balancer on the engine. The existing unit may look okay, but the rubber is hard and dry thus reducing the effectiveness of the balancer. Old balancers will kill the engine. Both of my M1008 trucks got new balancers and it makes a night n day difference
I'm sometimes overwhelmed with this hybrid 24/12volt system and can only do so much with limited funds. But will look into this. I got floors to R&R,and now have a starter that runs on after ignition key is turned off. Had that problem before but when Motor was running off if a Jerry can in cab it was fine. Now with new fuel pump, fuel tank, sending unit, glow plug relay, starter relay, all fuses...it's back (starter)running on after ignition key is turned off. Fuel isn't at filter yet. Wondering if I can manually pump fuel to filter and somehow get it to ignite and run again if this reoccurring problem will be resolved. Any thoughts, suggestions? This non running on its own power,is my highest priority. And major current concern.
I think it would be "Wicked Pissah" if I could fix my floors with one of those Welders. Cost being an issue obviously. But wouldn't THAT be cool? Fixing/Patching my truck, with the truck. Essentially healing itself. Mind blown.🤯
My M1009 is evolving slowly but surely. Thanks for sharing.

Something I may have to also look into.
@@kevinfaherty9887 a new balancer is cheap insurance for a 6.2 diesel...

What is the stock size tire?
235/85/16 31.73INCH TALL
Just Google it. M1009 wears smaller tires. Blazer as opposed to Pick up rig.
