LOL I usually get the "What is that?!" question when my locs are being inquired about. It's pretty funny. I'm 7.5 months in & love every minute of my journey! I wish you the best with yours.

I love your locks! I just reached my 6 months too. I live in Raleigh and I go to a place called Locks nails and more. I would not pay $120 or more for retightning. I pay $50 for mine and I get mine done every month as well. I have a lot of hair, but I love my locktichian she is awesome! good luck with your journey.

I had sisterlocks once, I was not ready for them at the time, I am now, so I will be getting my second set as soon as I get my money together. when I was perm, I paid 25 a week to get a wash and set, so stay with your lady, your hair is beautiful.
Your locks look great! I am thinking about getting sister locks as well. My edges will be concern for me just as yours are because they are thin too. Is there a special shampoo/conditioner for sister locks? If you don't mind my asking, how much was your installation and where are you located?
Hello, as far as I know there is no shampoo for that. but I do notice that my edges have filled in a little. But if your edges are thin because that's your natural hair line, which is the case for me it really isn't much that can be done. I will definitely pay more attention to my edges to see if its any progress with those locs.
also my consultant charge $100 per inch. I paid $1300. I don't suggest anyone pay a certain amount just make sure its what you want, and the quality you are looking for.

Thank you! my hair was 13" on top and about 10" the on my installation day. The back may have even been shorter, but I'm noticing it really don't matter if your hair is long because mine shrunk a lot. I think interlock are great. The first time I saw someone with Sisterlocks they actually had interlocks that were started with small braids, you couldn't even tell the difference.
How long is your hair now? I plan on joining the community soon, and beginning at length like yours would be preferred. I simply want to have a general idea of what my hair will look like once the locks are installed. Thanks, boo

yes I was natural. I started out with 13" on my top and about 9" in the back.

my hair is shoulder length now. Your hair will shrink a lot after locked. when I stretch my hair its about a inch past my shoulder blades.
