My sister and I are planning to come to Croatia to, sadly bury her husband in his family grave. Afterwards we are going to travel around the country a bit. We plan to be in Croatia for several weeks and Split is on our itinerary to visit while we are in the country. Your video highlighted the town beautifully. Thank you.
The Bačvice beach is a famous beach in Croatia where the game of "picigin" originates, it's essentially a small ball game with at least 2 people, where the goal is to keep the ball in the air as long as possible whilst being a bit less than waist height in water so you can leap out of the water better. It's really fun.
Such a historical place, can't wait to visit one day! The cathedral is really impressive and the view from the Bell Tower is just beautiful. I like how you were by the water while eating! Lol like your pose at Klis Fortress! You two love visiting national parks - don't blame you though, its so nice and glad the boat ride is included in the price.
I just found you're channel so excited I did as a women who loves traveling and very interested one day in traveling throughout Europe and Asia exploring the world one day great vlog I'm visiting Split in fall can't wait.
Just discovered your channel and you guys are awesome! Greatly appreciate that you mentioned the month in the video, most don't. It's very helpful to figure out what to wear at various times of the year and how busy it is. Also love that you gave a great deal of information, tips, and how to instructions. Well done!!
The cathedral looks so beautiful. I would love to try that beef pasticada - looked soo tasty! It would be cool to see the fortress and try to remember the spots it was in the show. The beach and the national park would also be on my list of things do to, can't pass up a waterfall!
Thank you for showing us Split, it’s the one place I really wanted to squeeze in during our visit to Croatia but couldn’t. Loved the Egyptian myth that David said, freaky but interesting! Glad you loved the food you found there too, it looked really good 😋
Split looks like a beautiful town! Unbelievable that it belonged to one person 😵 Again you found a beautiful viewpoint going up a narrow staircase 🥰 The shopping area in the cellar looks really cool. Oooh, Game of Thrones filming location!! The picture of the before and after cgi is amazing! And the views are stunning. The waterfalls in the National park are beautiful!
Hey guys, another great episode jam packed with so many travel ideas 🙌 Thanks for sharing the history of the sphinx...I think I would avoid looking it in the 👀 Umm that beef dish in the wine sauce sounded and looked soo good. I am not even going to try to spell it though😆 The views from the fortress were so pretty 😍
Wow, thanks for these Croatia tips! This is very helpful for my next travel! Have you tried using a duffle bag for your travel? I recommend using the Bento Bag from Nomad Lane. I've been using this bag for months now and it is such a hack. It has a trolley sleeve feature and it fits under the seat too! makes your travel more convenient and effortless and it packs like a suitcase too!
The Klis fortress used to be home to the legendary Croatian warriors known as Uskoci (in English that would translate something like "soldiers that jump out of nowhere"). Their leader was Petar Kružić and he commanded 2000 Uskoks at most in the 1520s to about the 1540s when they relocated to Senj under a new leader called Ivan Lenković in another fortress called Nehaj. That defene lasted until 1618, the Uskoks committed acts of piracy and although they primarily fought a guerilla fight against the Turks, they also fought against the Venetians. It is said that after the Senj Uskoks were disbanded in 1678, they migrated to the Žumberak region of Croatia and the Bela krajina (White Frontier) region of Slovenia.

Looks like you guys covered every square inch of that place ;)
We tried! We decided not to climb the hill with 300 stairs so technically not every inch. 😉

The Saint Domnius Cathedral is also the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world.
Hi. Can you please tell me what is the name of the accomodation? Or how far is from Diocletian Palace?
Thank you!
Here’s the Airbnb link. abnb.me/v5ZEC5lFZqb. It was a 10 minute walk to Diocletian’s Palace!
