    Also, with the relays, I've always cut the little tab on the lock they still slide together nicely and stay together. But it does make it easier if you have to replace or whatnot.

    Dont use those sheet panel screws. May save you some headache in the future. Use rivet nuts (nutserts) the correct name.

    I can not use a fuse block, I am running electric fans that draw 40 amps, those fuse blocks are rated at 30 amp per circuit and 100 amp total. But would work for my electric water pump (10 amps) and msd (7.5 amps) but fans have to be separate with inline 40 amp fuses and 10 gauge wire.

    • @Toolman83
      @Toolman83  4 месяца назад

      I’m about to wire my fans I believe mine were wired off a relay before but their only 80w each

    • @Toolman83
      @Toolman83  4 месяца назад

      And this is especially true if your using a controller to kick them off n on bc that’s when they draw peak amps when they kick on but also sounds like you have some monster fans lol

    what gauges wires do u use connecting the switches to the panel and from the relays to the components

    • @Toolman83
      @Toolman83  2 месяца назад

      You can use 16 from the switches to the panel and from the panel to whatever your running would depend on what your running like a fan I’d use 12 it also depends on the length of the wire too

    How many relays does a classic car actually need? Of cource it depends on the devices but lets say you want to keep it basic with additionally radio, power windows, central door lock and a subwoofer

    • @Toolman83
      @Toolman83  6 месяцев назад +1

      Honestly like radio power windows door locks they really don’t need one. Race cars use them to run like fuel pump, water pump, fan’s, nitrous, and stuff like that. A classic car probably wouldn’t need relays if everything is mechanical just a fuse panel really
